Summary: Wiccans watch out...
Review: This movie kept me on the edge of my seat. It was very suspenseful and I get goose bumps whenever I watch it. But as a practitioner of the Old Religion, I have to say this movie is quite offending. This movie is telling us that Witchcraft is all about manipulating people and placing curses on those who piss you off. It doesn't show the peaceful nature of Witches/Wiccans, but I don't expect Hollywood to do that. Hollywood is here to entertain people; not to educate. If people are dumb enough to believe everything they see, then that's their problem.

I do warn Wiccans/Witches/Pagans to proceed with caution. This movie might push you into an early grave! (Well, not really. But it will make you really pissed off! =)

Summary: It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!
Review: They better change their Wicca ways, not that they have any idea of what they are doing. This is Teen-age angst with a unique outlet. This type of story has been portrayed before, but they go a good job of not just turning this movie into a strictly blood and gore revenge movie. And I think it had an appropriate ending.

Of course if you are just interested in the vicious one, then see Fairuza Balk again in The Waterboy (1998) ASIN: 630529142X. There she bites heads off.

For snake lovers, this movie features over 3000 snakes including pythons, boas, water snakes, garter snakes, rat snakes, and a 10-foot Amazon constrictor - even rare albino snakes. See Fairuza Balk again in The Waterboy (1998) ASIN: 630529142X. There she has this thing for crispy reptiles.

Summary: A Younger Practical Magic
Review: I loved this movie. A lot of the genuine practitioners say this movie gives the craft a bad name. I'm a practitioner and I loved it. If they tried to keep it real we'd have a movie about the girls going into the woods to work on personal development and discover their relationship to the cosmos. Most pagans I know LOVE campy witch movies. We liked Bewitched, Witches of Eastwick, and Elvira and we were never confused about whether it was real religion. As to the claim that the movie misrepresents paganism... people who use this movie as a reason to hate witches were really never going to come over to our side anyways.

Good movie and the two main characters interacted well.

Summary: hmmm......
Review: bieng a practitioner of witchcraft for over four years, i was a little dissapointed on how this movie portrayed witches. The only "real" witch on this movie was the storkeeper. I was quite pleased that it mentioned the three fold law. Don't get me wrong, this was a great movie, quite entertainting also, I just didn't like the way they portrayed witches. I recommened this movie, but if you are a witch you may be a little offended.

Summary: ok...but not the best
Review: bein a witch (wiccan) myself, I bought this movie a year ago hoping to finally see a hollywood movie that shows what REAL witchcraft is like, but wasnt too impressed, although it is the closest ive seen yet to the REAL thing, but still pretty far off. some of the stuff they do is just totally ridiculous but some if it is actually quite real and believable. the only reason i liked this movie is because its got a good plot, good characters, great special effects, even has some humor in it. if you are lookin for a good entertaining movie with good special effects then i would get it. but if you are looking for realism then i wouldnt reccomend it.

Summary: Smart and sly, up to a point
Review: 3/4ths of a great film here: four teenage girls mess around with the "black arts" and get into heaps of trouble. Nicely observed and surprisingly witty and smart for the most part; the movie has a good ear for how teens actually think and speak. The over-the-top ending is too much to swallow at one sitting, though.

Summary: Sabrina and the Teenage Witches
Review: I thought tht The Craft did an excellent job of portraying how real teenagers feel about thier surroundings, while at the same time weaving an intricate web of the supernatural. The one problem, and I'm really grasping for this one, is Robin Tunney's overly subdued performance. It wasn't until the end, that you get the sense that she's becoming comfortable in her role. Aside from that minor mistake, this movie is perfect.
