Summary: Probably Neve Campell's Best Film
Review: I loved "The Craft". I saw it on TV once and couldn't take my eyes off. Of course, I only got to see the first hour of it but from what I saw of the movie, it seemed awesome. I love films on witches and witchcraft and TV shows, too. Which is probably why I love watching the WB TV show, "Charmed". So, if you're like me (if you love stuff about witches and witchcraft and stuff, that is) then you'll love this movie! It's one of the best!

Summary: Offensive to Wicca
Review: This movie was quite offensive to the Wiccan religion. First of all, they kept showing those so called witches in black clothes, when in reality Witches dress like everybody else. (I do, anyway.) Second thing, real Witches NEVER cast spells to make someone's hair fall out, or to make one fall in love with another. Ever mind the rule of three, what you give out comes back to thee.....those witches seem to have forgotten that. But I like how they used phrases like "blessed be" and "perfect love and perfect trust", that makes the movie somewhat more authentic. And I'm glad that they did a movie about witches altogether. Even though "The Craft" was insulting, like I said before, it was interesting and catchy at the same time. That's why I gave it 3 stars--for creativity and interest.

Summary: Very entertaining, the most accurate as of yet
Review: The Craft was not only entertaining and fun, but it provided the most accurate portrayal of witchcraft in a movie as of yet. Yes, a lot of the things that happened in that movie are not likely to happen, but anything's possible. One of the things I liked most about the film was that it was based on traditional witchcraft and had NO MENTION anywhere of Wicca or "the rede". So many Wiccans keep screaming that it insults their religion. Witchcraft is a practice, not a religion. Wicca is a religion, and the two are totally separate things. The girls may have incorporated some sort of pagan beliefs into their witchcraft(as most witches do), but they never once mentioned "Wicca". I, as a traditional witch, am tired of Wiccans who think they own the "copyright" on witchcraft. The movie not only portrayed accurate aspects of magick and the craft, but it also showed what can happen if you play with fire. And for those Wiccans who continue to rant about how The Craft "insults and cheapens THEIR RELIGION(which it isn't)", then watch the movie "Little Witches", which portrays witches as evil satan worshipers that must be "drawn back to the flock", and then you'll have something to scream about. Blessed Be.

Summary: The Craft is fun and entertaining
Review: The Craft was a very good movie. Although it wasn't an accurate portrayal of the religion it was patterned after, it still accomplished it's ultimate goal: to be entertaining. After all, isn't that why we go to the movies in the first place? The Craft was not meant, in any way, to be a tutorial on witchcraft, only to be watched and enjoyed. Also, I would like to point out that even though it does do a poor job of showing a true perspective of the Craft, it does make a good point or two, such as the Law of Three and showing how your actions will affect not only yourself but others as well. Still a very good movie.

Summary: quote: 'Welcome to the witching hour': unquote
Review: This is the best teen-movie I've seen. It relates to schooltroubles, peer-pressure and most of all beeing different. I give this movie 5 stars. I think that it is worth it. The special effects are great, the cast are fantastic, the dialogue and set is wonderful. I recommend this movie to anyone who is into sci-fi/ comedy/ horror films.

Summary: Nice entertainment, poor witchcraft portrayal!
Review: When this movie came out I was very excited! 'Finaly a nice portrait of witches!' I thought. But when I finaly saw it it came to be a deception in that matter. I study pagan religions and been into wicca for some time, and I can tell you wicca/paganism has got nothing to do with that mumbo jumbo the girls do! I only liked the occult store witch, she had something to do with the whole subject. Still, even if you know what wicca's all about, you should abstract from it and see this movie, because it's very entertaining, specialy if your a teenager in his/her wild years, but hey! don't go and fall into that misconception about witchcraft! If you're willing to go deeper into it read some good paganism books first!
