Rating: Summary: Sooner Or Later Death Will Come For Us All... Review: Audiences who saw Final Destination were in for a great surprise when a movie that followed the release of Scream 3, the supposed "nail in the coffin" for the horror genre, came out of nowhere and put the terror back into the box office. Three years later, the highly anticipated sequel Final Destination 2 is here. The story is pretty similiar to that of the first and is set exactly one year after the "Flight 180" tragedy. This time around our main character Kimberly (A.J. Cook) is going on a road trip with her friends. While on the interstate she has a premonition about a major accident that would kill everyone on the road. Snapping back to reality she ignores her friends pleas to continue driving and places her car in an area that will keep the wreck from happening. As she gets out of her car to explain to Officer Thomas Burke (Michael Landes) what she's doing, everyone is horrified to watch as a semi truck smashes through her vehicle and causes a major wreck that they would all have been involved in. The accident scene is worth the price of admission alone. It's horrifyingly realistic and brutally gruesome showing what can happen when people drink, goof off while driving, don't pay attention, etc. The rest of the film plays out as expected which is the reason why I gave this movie only 4 stars. In the original movie, no one knew what to expect or that death was gonna come back at them in terrifyingly clever ways, but with the sequel you do expect it. However, the makers of the film have many surprises in store and you have to see it to believe it. None of the death scenes in this movie are as surprising as Terry's (Amanda Detmer) hit by the bus scene in the original, but instead of pulling away the camera like they did, this movie delivers it's shock value with it's amount of gore. FD2 revels in it's own disgust and bloodshed using every chance it can get to let "death" slice, dice, cook, drop, smash, burn, stab, slam, impale and totally annihilate it's survivors. All in all this is an excellant movie that I will see again asap. It's definitely a great sequel and I think all of the fans who liked the first will love this. It's loud, violent, twisted and the biggest rush I've had at the movies since the original. A promising sign of how good it is, is when the movie was over, you could hear everyone gasping and laughing nervously.
Rating: Summary: Great Sequel- Review: This sequel picks up one year after the plane crash of Final Destination 1- that devestated the local high school and left few survivors who were ultimately stalked by death and killed. Final Destination 2 starts off with a highway multi-car accident which the main character, Kimberly, manages to escape. She has a vision of the crash and is able to save herself and a few others. However, surviving the crash, makes her, along with the other survivors, a target for death. She is helped by Clear Rivers, the only survivor from FD-1, a cop who saved her life and another old character from FR-1, the morgue attendant, who gives them a clue on how to change death's design. The DVD features "infini-film"- a way to watch the movie and be given extra little facts and stories behind the film, actors etc. After viewing the little extras, the film picks up and resumes the movie. Features include: ---screen tests of teh main actors ---Directors comments ---Behind the scnes of the multi car crash ---how various stunts were filmed ---extended version of the scenes/cut scnes ---test subjects reaction to the gory death scenes Also included are film trailors, music videos, an amusing little "pick a card" game, deleted scenes. This DVD is packed with extras and the movie is a great sequel to the original.

Rating: Summary: Done with style. Review: I highly enjoyed this flick. If you're willing to just kick back and have a good time, this is one enjoyable movie. The acting is good, the special effects are incredible, and the plot is actually above average. Like Final Destination before it, this is a more creative horror film. It's not a hack and slash, but more a dark comedy of sorts. The fun of this film comes not from the events leading to death, but death itself. Luckily there's a large cast and the inbetween time is quite enjoyable. The scene that puts this movie over the top however, comes right at the start. Just like FD's plane explosion, it sets the pace for the entire movie. FD2's highway scene is simply an amazing event. It's jaw dropping, it's gruesome, and it's fun. They thankfully went for a strong R rating, and didn't shy away from getting really gruesome. They also threw in biker babe who briefly flashes early in the film, which probably should have been left out. Otherwise though, the suspense to gore ratio is just about right. - Rirath_com
Rating: Summary: This movie is SO NOT worth it. Review: Obviously I am not 1yr old, 1yr olds can not write reviews for anything, let alone this movie. We will just leave it at this... if you added the true numbers of my age together you would get 7. Ok here go's... I watched the first FD a few years ago, not long after it came out. I won't say that I loved it but it was a GREAT movie. One of my most liked horor flicks. The almost perfect balance of Suspence/Drama/Gore, nothing that got over the top disgusting. This movie on the other hand is, is, well there's not really a word for it. It was just plain apalling! I usually can handle most of what is done in horor movies but this one went way over my limit. I picked it up on the pretence that it might be a decent sequel, but the acting was not that great and the gore level was WAY out there! I'm not kidding here, what FD was, FD2 is 10 times more disgusting. The freeway sene was a good start and if they had not gone past that description level I would have really liked this movie too. That sene was the hook for me, it was what made me interested in the movie. I quickly discovered though that this one was going to define a new level of the words "THAT WAS GROSS!". It was to the point that right before the person was going to die I covered my eye's, I saw just enough to know how they died but did not watch the death being carried out. The long and short of it is... If your after a movie with plenty of Blood/Guts/Gore this is the movie for you, if your after just a good horor movie, move on, go watch the original. Even if your after it for reason 1, UNLESS you are a die hard enthusiast of EXTREME gore, this movie is in the Strictly Rental classification, you can then decide if you wish to waste your money to add this to your collection. As for me, my copy of this movie will swiftly be moving on to either a second hand movie shop, or the dumpster... I haven't decided which 'Final Destination' it deserves yet. If it was not for the hope that I might regain some of my money it would already be in the bottem of my trash bin.
Rating: Summary: (mouth still hanging open) Review: If you liked "Final Destination", you will not be disappointed in "Final Destination 2". This movie is everything the first movie was and more: heart-pounding suspense that has you captivated from the moment it starts until credits roll at the end. There were so many times in this movie that I found myself on the edge of my seat, mouth hanging open, completely blown away. This is the kind of suspense that creeps up on you ever so slowly, even though you know its coming, and then pounces on you suddenly with a big bang. I don't remember the last time I've seen a theater full of people jump at the same time so many times in one sitting. The movie begins with Kimberly (A.J. Cook) and her friends heading out for a vacation when she suddenly has a premonition of a massive freeway pile-up in which she and everyone else around her are horrifically killed (this sequence will give you goosebumps). When she and the others avoid the accident, which takes place on the 1 year anniversary of the plane crash from the first movie, Death becomes determined to make sure that they all reach their ends -- one by one, in the same order they were supposed to die in the pile-up. And that's all I'm saying for fear of ruining the movie. One thing is definitely for sure: I drove home very slowly and very carefully after watching this, avoiding the expressway and any other cars on the road for that matter. If you like suspense, this is your movie. Not recommended for the faint of heart.
Rating: Summary: BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. Review: WHEN I BOUGHT THE FIRST FINAL DESTINATION I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. THEN I HEARD THAT #2 WAS OUT SO I FOUND IT AND BOUGHT IT. I THINK #2 IS BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. I HOPE A #3 IS GOING TO BE MADE JUST LIKE CABIN FEVER 2.
Rating: Summary: Great 6.1 DTS ES sound Review: I purchased this DVD used based on the 6.1 DTS ES sound. The movie is what it is - a Horror movie with death around the corner. The 6.1 sound is excellent. The rear surround speakers are effectively utilized and not just a repetition of the 5.1 surround speakers. The subwoofer rocks the house. So, if you are a fan of this genre film and are looking for a great 6.1 DTS ES sound, pick this movie up. Enjoy, j.
