Rating: Summary: Back to basics horror... Review: After seeing Wrong Turn a second time, I have to say that this is one of the better slasher flicks to have been released in quite awhile. A back to the basics homage to early Wes Craven and Tobe Hooper films. If you truly like horror you will like this film. Although after reading a couple of reviews mentioning JEEPERS CREEPERS as a better horror film, the only thing scary about JC is the fact that the director is a pedophile.

Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST HORROR FILMS SINCE THA NEW MILLENIUM!!!!! Review: OKAY. this movie rocked! I was screaming and hiding my face all the way through this shocking, discusting, scary-as-hell tale. This movie would be good even without all the blood and gore! The fact that these poor people are basically playing "Hide And Go Seek" with these discusting, deformed, crazy cannibal maniacs, that actually jump for joy when they find some people to hunt. This mvie was soooo good. I jsut cant wait until it comes out on DVD & VIDEO!! I love Horror Movies, and this is my new favorite. I mean...i cant even explain how scared you get when you watch this. You shuld defiently see this-if you dont, then your missing out! Just the sight of these imbred, deformed, men make you scared. The movie hadnt even completly started and i was already getting freaked out! lol. Damn, this movie is just great, and the acting is good. But I was just angry when the guy from "Six Feet Under" died-i thought his g/f should have went since she complained so much...But im not going to say anymore! Just see it and never go to the woods in West Virginia again-I know I wont! hehe... Id give this thing 5 stars x 10 if I could!
Rating: Summary: TCM or Wrong Turn? Review: I loved the movie, even though it was far from original. Can you say Texas Chainsaw Massicare? The movies were mirror images of each other. For example, in the beginning of Wrong Turn, the guys stops at an old gas station for directions. Same happens in TCM. In Wrong Turn, the kids stumble onto the killers house and unknowingly go in trying to get help. Same thing in TCM. And the killers in Wrong Turn were a family of Backwoods cannibals....just as in TCM!Dont get me wrong, it was a great movie, just not original. I take away one star for being a bit of a copy cat. Otherwize, it was great!
Rating: Summary: Standard but solid Review: Quite simply, Wrong Turn is a pretty standard horror flick. It doesn't break new ground, or strive to bend the genre... but really, that's not such a bad thing. It's been a long time since the last quality "standard" horror flick. And in that respect, Wrong Turn delivers with a solid show. Unlike so many other movies, this movie doesn't just try to creep you out; It tries to scare the snot out of you half the time and make you squirm and hide your eyes the other half. This one ain't for the gore shy, there's plenty of hacking and slashing going on. The gore level is almost shocking compared to recent movies though there's no nudity to be found. At least two scenes begged for it, but oh well. The problem with most movies like this isn't that they're forgettable, it's that the acting is so horrible you can't enjoy them. I'm glad to say this movie has solid acting, a good enough plot, a fast pace, and a great cast. It's still largely forgettable, but you'll enjoy it while it lasts. And really, that's more than enough for me. - Rirath_com
Rating: Summary: Real Horror! Review: This was the best horror flick I have seen in many years! I was totally captured by the story. How creapy would it be to break down or get lost in the middle of no where? This movie will make you think twice about shortcuts. Stay out of the woods and forget those country cousins your Mom keeps bugging you to visit!
Rating: Summary: Way better than I expected. Review: I saw this movie sfter reading mixed reviews on Rottentomatoes.com and let me tell you it's a throughly enjoyable cannibal flick from start to finish. Is it perfect? There are plot points I found stupid but the acting is first rate, the effects are pretty good and it has one of the most memorable and gruesome images I've seen on film in a long time (hint: it happens in the treetop chase scene). As a fan of Eliza Dushku, I really enjoyed her in this film. She looks great and I wouldn't mind being trapped in a situation like this if it was with her and I didn't get killed and eaten in the end. Emanuelle Chiriqui looks pretty darn good too. This would make a great double feature with the underrated Ravenous starring Guy Pierce and Robert Carlyle. Don't go into the woods without packing some artillery of your own!
Rating: Summary: No wrong turns here. Review: The only "Wrong Turn" here is 20th Century Fox's lack of enthusiasm to market such a fun, frightening film. No review screenings, little TV or print advertising and a non-presence on the talk show circuit make it appear that the studio is trying to run this movie off the road. That's too bad, because few horror fans will hear about "Wrong Turn," one of the rare recent fright flicks to get the heart thumping. Director Rob Schmidt's film makes it seem as though homicidal inbred mutants freely roam the dark hills of West Virginia, stalking and destroying nubile 25-year-olds. This won't win any rewards - especially from the West Virginia tourist board - but all that matters in movies such as this is quick pacing, an involving story, and a villain so creepy he'll sneak into your nightmares. No matter - horror movies, in which the black guy always dies first -have never been a bastion of political correctness. For "Wrong Turn," it's check, check and triple check. The featured group of Noxzema-faced campers must run, screaming for their dear lives, from not one but three deformed psycho mountain men, rendered strikingly by the makeup department.
Rating: Summary: straight to video Review: If you blinked you probably missed this movie in the theaters but that's okay because it'll be in the 99 cent bin at your local video store really soon. Wrong Turn rips off Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Deliverance and every dumb, nubile teens in the woods movie ever made. I went the theater hoping for a good creepy time but ended up laughing at the movie.
Rating: Summary: So Imbreeding is in? Review: This is one weird show but it is the best horror show that I've seen so far. I like how the effects and actions were. The actors were acting better than in most movies that I've seen. "Wrong Turn" provides an adrenaline rush for you and has left me too scared to go camping for a while(not that I liked it anyways). The cannibals were a stroke of genius and so were the scenes of them killing off the group. That is all, buh bye.
