Summary: The best thriller of the year!
Review: Fianl Destination is, hands down, one of the most clever shockers in months! After saving the leves of seven people by getting them off a plane doomed to explode, Alex (Devon Sawa) realizes that Death has a plan for everyone. He has foiled Death's plan by getting these seven people off the plane, and now Death wants to settle the score. Of course, no one beleives hime when he tells them this, at least not until it's too late. It's easy to see that there is talent in the hip young cast which includes not only Sawa, but also horror veterans Ali Larter (House on Haunted Hill) and Tony Todd (Candyman series). Kerr Smith of TV's Dawsons Creek is also among those running for their leves. Fianal Destination's greatest accomplishment is that it is not predictable like so many horror films out there today. You dont have to be a die hard horror fan to greatly enjoy Final Destination. It really makes you think about whether or not it is possible to really cheat death. This is a scary, smart, supernatural event thats not to be missed!

Summary: Best Thriller since the Sixth Sense
Review: I absolutely loved this movie! Very well done. I left the theatre still thinking...what if it is true. I mean, how many times have you crossed the street and almost gotten hit? Or tripped and been inches from hitting your head on the corner of a table, breathing a sigh of relief? I know this has happened to me quite a few times in my life. The best horror flicks are those that have a plot that revolves around what humans fear, but are too afraid to talk about. Death is something that people fear the most. Final destination hits all of the tender spots when it comes to death, holds you there and then drops you. This is definately a must have movie to own, it will be a classic. If you enjoyed The Faculty(One of my favorite horror flicks of the 90's) and Sixth Sense(My 2nd favorite horror flick of the 90's) you'll really like Final destination. Happy movie watching! Heth

Summary: A New Kind of Horror Film
Review: Everyone has heard of Jason, Freddie, and even the Leprechaun. Each of these kinds of horror movies centered around one person killing many other people. Although the killers are different, the source of the fear is always the same...death. Death may come in the form of a teenager in a ghost mask, or a fisherman with a hook, but in Final Destination we see death for what it really is...death. The writers of Final Destination cleaverly made the killer an unseen force that cannot be stoped. The killer is not someone who dresses like his mother and kills Jamie Lee Curtis's mother in the shower, but instead the killer is a series of strange coincidences that results in the death of a person. Since there is no killer to be seen, the death scenes are very elaborate and incredibly smart. This movie is the first original horror movie since Psycho.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: This was a great movie if you like special effects. I felt that the movie trailer was so short and simple was because they couldn't show other portions of the movie. The way "fate" took the lives of those who escaped it was just too gruesome to allow for a preview for all audiences. Definately a movie that could give a person nightmares. A must see movie!

Summary: Edgy thriller!
Review: This film is actually very innovative for it's genre! The introductory segment of the film sets up the story with great suspense and drama that is so rare in horror films. Many people I know cried. The set ups in the bathroom and kitchen scenes have people uncomfortably anticipating the outcomes, and the bus scene is so shocking and innovative that many films will start emulating it for years to come. In fact, Scary Movie has already tried, but since it was a comedy it was more predictable and less shocking. A great film in the theater and I hope it can be captured as well on video and DVD!

Summary: Not bad...
Review: Final Destinations trump card is it plays off a devloped urban fear of accidents. Half of them frankly ludicruous they may be, but you can relate to them having read about them in the papers which makes it hit home. There in lies it's secret that the god aweful let down Scream 3 didn't have. Though there is the occaissional bit of gore, Final Destination plays off suspense more (especially during the opening which will put you off flying for a few weeks). OK so it's not exactly primal fear and yeah i know that films like The Omen and amityville tried a few years ago, but you can relate to some of the deaths in this one much more.

This isn't the usual rip off or 'homagised' style suspense as some like to call it either. There is a 'shock horror !' shred of originality in Final Destinations concept and the way it's pulled off. No stupid thumping pop soundtrack either, in fact thank god there is not one ironic refference or pop culture related iconography in the picture at all. Final Destination gets back to what horror is about before it turned to audience friendly trash - scares. Not jumps, but scares. It may not be Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House On The Left or The Evil Dead btu it's certainly better than most recent offerings and at least tries to hurt the audience rather than just make them giggle.

I saw this movie at the cinema thinking 'pop cultre scream clone', thakfully it wasn't. Sure it's not like last years brilliance - Blair Witch, but i thank all involved in the making of this picture for trying something vaguely original. A class act !

The DVD contains interesting documentaries and and two commentary tracks. Ok so neither of them are up the the standards of the ones present on Elite's Evil Dead DVD (all should buy that by the way !) but they do provide a lot of insight. get it !

Summary: Only for laughts
Review: This movie wasn't obviously made to scare anyone. The deaths that fate (or the "patterns") causes are hilarious, for not saying ridiculous. When the film started, I thought it would be a good one, because of all the mistery that was surrounding the premonition. But later the suspense was over, and the brilliant instantaneous "deductions" and funny deaths took its place. 2 stars just for the laughts.

Summary: Final Destination will chill you to the bone...
Review: This movie is a must for fans of true scary movies and not cheap, boring slasher flicks. With a very interesting screenplay by the writer of many X-Files episode, James Wong and Glen Morgan and a very hip cast, they spin a tale that will chill you to your bones and prey on your most primal fears. The first 15 minutes of this movie is the best opening to a film I have ever saw and it keeps getting better. Here is a little taste to wet your appaetite. Alex and a group of high school students take a flight to Paris for a French class trip. Before they set off, Alex has a premonition of the plane bursting into flames minutes after take off. He tells everyone to get off the ill-fated aircraft. Moments later in the departure lounge the student see the plane explode before their very eyes. Now the FBI thinks that Alex had something to do with it and follows his every move. His friends start to believe he had something to do with it also and slowly fade out of his life. But now, each one of his friends is mysteriously being killed by something that appears to the Grim Reaper. Alex starts to believe that fate is starting to taking it's toll. This film on DVD is a must have...

Summary: It will leave you breathless...
Review: I show this great thriller at theaters before 4-5 days... I think that it was the scariest movie I've ever seen, and I will never forget it! I am now looking forward to buy the Dvd (the price is good :) The script was great and all the effects seamed to be so real... If you like action and scary movies, don't miss this one. Notice that this movie contains lots of hard scenes and mustn't be viewed from children.
