Summary: The original scream
Review: Halloween is the original horror, and Carpenter made fear fun again! On Halloween night, Laurie(Jamie Lee Curtis) and a group of her friends become the victims of Michael Myers, an escaped mental patient. He comes back to his hometown to finish what he started several years back, to kill. It's a great "gasher movie", without being too bloody or rediculous. It embodies all horror genre without being boring.

Summary: Halloween restored to it's old self
Review: Normally you would expect a dull and scratchy copy of "Halloween", but this edition is THX Remastered. So the picture quality and sound is better than fantastic. It's so clear that it was like the movie had just been made now, and the sound was sensational, the Halloween theme music was so clear that I could catch every single note in the tune. This edition also come with a Television version of Halloween. This means that its Halloween with twelve minutes of new filmed footage, which isn't all that great, but every fan would like to see it anyway. Of course it will come with the rest like theatrical trailers and interviews, but it also comes with radio advertisement trailers and a documentary called Halloween Unmasked which tells you everything you would want to know about the classic. Last but not least, you get your choice of widescreen or fullscreen view. An absolute must have for every Halloween and horror fan out there.

Summary: One of the best horror movies since I saw "Scream"
Review: It's a classic! It is a real good horror movie! I'm 10 years old, and my Mom doesn't want me to see it. But it was on TV, and she said OK. I recorded it. I loved it! I didn't want to see "Friday the 13th" Because from the reviews, it's just a rip-off, because parmount wants to do better! My favorite scene is when Jamie Lee Curtis stabs Michael Myers with a sowing needle! This has to be a horror classic! Just like, "Phycho" "Child's Play" "I know what you did last summer", and "scream". So sit back, and scream on Halloween night!

Summary: FANTASTIC DVD
Review: Fantastic dvd for a classic movie. If you love Halloween then this is the dvd to buy. Great supplements with a outstanding documentary. Now if only all dvd special editions were this good. A must have dvd in any collection. Halloween has never looked or sounded better. And the interviews in the documentary are a real treat. You can't go wrong here. I would give it five babysitters..I mean stars.

Summary: The Best Horror Movie
Review: The original Halloween has to be the BEST horror movie around. No gore, few deaths, and a great score make for one of the best movies around. Little Michael Myers murders his sister. He is locked up for 15 years. Then he escapes, and goes after Laurie, Linda, and Annie, killing all but Laurie. Laurie turns out to be his sister in the not so good Halloween 2. Great great movie!

The documentary is a vast non-stop avalanche of facts and knowledge on this great film. The TV version of the movie has all the added scenes. The commentary track will keep your attention throughout. I highly suggest purchasing this DVD. You will watch it over and over and over... If you like Halloween and other great horror movies then I also suggest the movie Ice from the Sun. Summary: SUSPENSE,GREAT ACTING, WONDERFULLY DIRECTED!
Review: I bought this video before I had seen the movie, just because it was cheap and I just getting in to horror at the time. I loved it, I have seen it probably 500 times. I know every word, every seen, everything! Some people say it is boring, but if you taken out those parts where you see through Michaels POV nad can hear him breathing hard where would you be? Another Friday the 13th slasher. If all the sudden Michael sowed up, you would be like, where did the mask come from? Why did he just show up at Laurie's front door? Where did he get those clothes? Who's that Doctor guy? It made you watch and listen, isn't that what suspense is all about? That is the differance between Halloween and let's say Scream. You had no idea that the killer had interest in Sidney, or where or why this killer was wearing that mask. I like Scream, but it's cheesy compared to Halloween. In Halloween the so called boring parts are put to keep your brain working and tries to make you think okay I know whats going on, ten all the sudden you find out differently. That is what horror is. If you think about it, can you name another horror movie made before Halloween that deals with a serial killer in a mask, who stalks countless victims typically with a knife, never a gun. That is why Halloween should get more recognition than just that "dumb cheesy horror movie."
