Summary: Long Live The Kings!!!!!
Review: So, for months I've worried if this movie was going to live up to the hype. I should learn to worry less.

The movie starts out with Freddy, who is very weak because the kids of Springwood have forgotten about him, and are being force fed a dream depravation drug. So, Freddy recruits Jason to go to Springwood and make the townsfolk remember the murders. Problem is, once Freddy is at full power, Jason won't stop killing! So, Freddy tries to kill Jason!

What ensues is a bloody, brutal, savage and wonderfully coriographed fight that pits Freddy agains Jason. I will not say who wins, but the teens that get between them end up slaughtered, messily!

Without a doubt, the crossover was everything I hoped it would be, and more. I cannot WAIT for the DVD!!!!!

Summary: Welcome To My Nightmare . . .
Review: And a nightmare this was! Once again, probably not good to see this without seeing the others first - a lot and I mean a lot of stuff references earlier films. Someone ruined the ending for me, so I knew what was going to happen at the end, although he'd been saying it all along.

The film starts off good, reminding you of what actually happened to Freddy in previous films, and how he came to be the way he is today. There's a lot of dream sequences, where you never know what's real and what isn't.

Characters appear from previous films, although I don't think the same actors played them. Kelly Rowland appears, playing Kia, and she did a great job, considering it was her acting debut. She was VERY American, very OTT, but that's an okay thing. The lead actress, playing a character called Lori, looks the exact double of Brittany Murphy (8 Mile, Just Married), it's scary! I actually thought it was her.

The girls in this film . . . Well, lets put it this way, Wonderbra got a lot of publicity from this film! I'm sorry, breasts up around the neck is not natural! There were lots of high angle shots, so there was lots of cleavage on show. And do girls not know how to button up shirts anymore? What do they do when they're wearing a half-buttoned shirt? Start running. It's like watching an episode of 'Baywatch' all over again! And of course, at the start, a girl needs to show the camera exactly what surgery she's had from the waist up - very pleasant to watch! A bet a lot of guys enjoyed this movie, purely because of the amount of cleavage and fake breasts on show. The girls in this film have obviously never heard of a little thing called women's lib! Women did fight to get the vote in the '20s, and here are these girls, running around, screaming their pretty little heads off, and letting the guys do all the work (apart from at the end). You turn round, and bring your knee up, not run away! Where the hell was the male totty for us ladies? The guys get all the good stuff, so not fair.

Robert Englund has given up trying to get any other roles apart from playing Freddy. But frankly, can you really see him being anyone else apart from Freddy? He does it so well. The only other role I've seen him in is 'Urban Legend', and even that was a cameo, playing a creepy teacher in an urban legends class. I wouldn't like to have him for a teacher!

You feel sorry for both Freddy & Jason in this film. They both get really badly beaten and there's a lot of fake blood used.

The ending is fantastic. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen this, but it's VERY significant. You so know what's coming.

You have to see this film, even if it is to laugh at Kelly Rowland's meeting with Freddy. She definitely gives it her best, and throws everything she can at him.

Summary: What an MF'ing suprise
Review: I went to see this movie to give it it's day in court and to basically take it out back and shoot square between the eyes. BUT... suprisingly enough this movie took me on an entertaining ride. Freddy side is scarier side and Jason's side is more of the shock value side. Put them together and you got one gore filled crazy movie. I loved it. I think it is a reasonable entry into either franchise. Probably the best in a while. The direction is good and some of the humor is good (mostly sadistic on the part of freddy.) The direction and cinemotography i enjoyed particularly because of director Ronny Yu's styalized track record (Bride with white hair, Formula 51, Bride of Chucky)
For the most part of the movie it is like two separate movies. There is the scarier and creepier freddy side. And the slash and bash jason side. That is until the two killers meet for the showdown. Then it turns into the craziest and goriest blood spraying battle of all time. The climax is quite kewl. The acting is not bad. Several co stars rise to the moment. Including Kelly Rowland who plays well as the friend with the attitude. The leading lady and her boyfriend are quite good also. The plot line is quite interesting as well. The way they bring the two killers together is very creative. The two writers for the movie appearantly did their homework. The past histories about both characters are acurately portrayed. Very nicely done. Was very suprised. Good job. My only critism is it could have been just a little longer to build to climax a little more and that just a tad bit scarier. Other than that I actually would let this film live.

Summary: It was worth the wait!
Review: I don't know about anyone else, but I have been hearing rumors of "Freddy vs. Jason" since the late 80s. But the question was always "How do we get them together?" The writers have come up with an intresting and creative motive for the two to have contact with each other. I know I was worried that they would turn Jason into a wimp ( for lack of a better word) and be all sensitive. But the way they handled his anti-hero role was excellently handeled. He isn't good, he's just the lesser of the two evils. Another thing I was worried about was them watering down the gore. I needen't have worried. There's enough blood and guts to sink the Titanic again. I love how Freddy has toned back the one liners; he is much darker and scarier than usual here, very much the essence of Satan incarnate. The kids are the usual mostly forgetable faces, except for (of course) Kelly Rowlens. What happens to her? Well, if that's what happenes to Destany's Child, I can't wait to see what happens to *NSync! The final battle is definatly in the vain of a WWF grudge match, but very gory and well worth it. Mostly fans are going to like this film. You're mainstream audience may not. But I loved it, and I can't wait for something like "Michael Myers vs. Leatherface."

Summary: freddy vs. jason vs. michael
Review: freddy vs. jason was a great movie, i've waiting to see that movie for about ten years. I like jason more, but if you think about freddy is more evil than jason. Jason actuall had reason to [destroy] all those teenagers he did because he was wronged. he was drowning and the counselors were too busy ...to care, and add the fact they killed his mother, gave him even more reason to kill. freddy on the other hand was a child murderer and possibly molester to begin with, and the parents burned them, which they had the right to do, but freddy kept killing again. so there you go. Now michael could take both of them
freddy has complete control in dreams and thats it. michael has never been able to be killed, jason and freddy have. Michael has more balance and grace, he's able to drive, and more intelligent than both. Michael is more evil than both because he started killing when he was 6, and that was his sister. But if talking about if all movie monsters were to fight the blob would win of course.

Summary: The best sequel in both freddy and jason movies!
Review: actually 4 and a half

I've been a fan of both F13 and elm street since I was in 5th grade, I heard about freddy vs jason coming out like 6 years ago and how it was supposed to come out in 99 and I've been patiently waiting ever since. It was great, far better than I could have ever expected! The effects where great, The death scences where awesome and the fight at the end was worth it alone. The acting was also better than in most of the other movies! go see it now!

Summary: A sign of surrender
Review: When you have 2 slashers in a movie fighting against eachother, you get the picture that the creators of Freddy and Jason have given up and ran out of ideas to make there own movies. They have ran out of ideas in how to match the success of the original Halloween with slasher legend (the best 1) Michael Myers. So what do they do? They put 2 slashers in the same movie fighting against eachother. In my opinion this movie just sucked. Way too much gore in it. Remember the first Halloween it had absolutely no gore in it and it made a box office record that no other slasher film was able to match or beat. Since I've never watched these other slasher films except Halloween I figured out that Freddy is a much more powerfull character than i thought. All that Jason has is a machette. The killing scenes were unrealistic. Basically, what I'm saying is the creators of Freddy and Jason are just giving up. The only slasher film that is still alive and still makes pretty good $ is Halloween. I know a lot of people wanted to see Michael vs Jason but it's not going to happen. The creators of Halloween will not sell the rights to these low lifes that made Freddy vs Jason until the fans have given up on the series which they haven't. Michael is the only scary slasher with that legendary mask and knife. Halloween has the best plot and story. Remember Michael started it all!

Summary: This is definitly the best freddy or jason movie ever!
Review: I loved this movie! I saw it last night, and I was not in the least bit unsatisfied. 1980 fear was born, 2003 the two biggest names in horror come together to finish things. I think this movie was good for many reasons, the first being the girls, the second was that this movie combined two franchises better then I have ever seen done, third the soundtrack was awsome. This movie was about a murderer named freddy krueger who was burned alive in his house after killing a bunch of the towns children, after he died he went after the children in thier dreams, but the towns people found a way to defeat him so-to-speak and that is forget about him. Freddy needs fear or he can't kill, so he finds a way to bring fear back to elm street, he disguises himself as jason's mother and enters his dreams where he uses jason's love for his mother to convince him to go to elm street, and the fun begins, but after jason brings back fear, he doesn't stop killing, and that brings fear to jason instead, so now freddy must destroy jason in order to once again rise. The best part of this film was the fight scene, I liked how it didn't go one way, and the advantage kind of swayed b ack and forth amongst the two. As for who won I probably shouldn't say, but I think you will all be pleasently surprised.

Summary: This one is for the fans...
Review: I wasn't really expecting this movie to be good at all, especially after the last Halloween film (hopefully the film makers take note of this one and bring back the old Michael Myers). But, I was wrong. This brought back the characters I used to be scared of as a kid (I'm 25 now)...the ones that would make you jump as you watched late at night with your buddies, stay up a little later because you didn't really want to fall asleep, feel a little chill as you looked out at the dark woods at camp, and worry who was in the next room at the Haunted Houses you'd go to around Halloween. This movie was made for the fans that grew up watching Friday the 13th and the Nightmares, and remember what it was like to be scared by Jason and Freddy as a kid. The old cliches are still here, but are done as more of a salute to the past. Those that didn't watch them as a kid probably won't like this movie, but for the rest of us.....1,2 Freddy's comin' for you.... Kill Kill Kill, ah ah ah Kill Kill Kill....
