Rating: Summary: Very cool Review: After reading a few reviews I'm sad that someone let out who wins. I've been a fan of both for a long time, though the earlier films were better in my mind. I'm only giving this 3 stars because I haven't yet seen it. The main point for writing this is to share my thoughts on how it should truly end in hopes that maybe someone with pull at one of the studios happens to read it.To be brief, Freddy and Jason are pounding on each other, toe to toe Rocky style. Neither of the two wanting to drop and each pretty well beaten. Then out of the darkness you see a highlight of a white latex mask and some wild hair. Michael steps out of the shadows and finishes them both off. Long live Mike Myers!
Rating: Summary: Freddy and Jason Together!!!! Review: If I could I would give this movie a million stars. I have been a fan of Freddy as well as Jason in both of their franchises. I like Freddy because of his comic personality he is always wise-cracking jokes left and right to people. I like jason for how big and strong he is and because he is person that doesn't need words to express himself. Finally in this movie we see both Freddy and Jason together in a joint sequel of both franchises. In a battle to end all battles on this DVD there are multiple alternate endings as to who wins depending on who you want to see win. It has a lot of blood and gore throughout the movie for diehard horror fans. Also the story starts on Elm Street and ends at Camp Crystal Lake.
Rating: Summary: This movie opened up a can of SOOOOO COOL!!!!!!! Review: O my GOSH!!! it blew me out of the freakin water! I thought that Feddy VS. Jason just had to be. When i heard that they were making a Freddy VS. Jason i was on the edge for a while. But the movie seems to be kind of like a "Nightmare on Elm Street" film it just has Jason in it, wich is soooooo cool. For me personally Robert Englund and Ken Kirzinger do an exanlant job, they are both very talented actors. YES, there is plenty of blood, and action. Freddy and Jason do what they do best kill people and still find time to kick each others BUTTS!! Their both like big soccer moms ( but guys) they find time some how!! All i got to say is this movie ROX!!!!
Rating: Summary: Worth the Wait? Review: Although I've been a die-hard fan of both series (even though they're really terrible movies) and have seen every movie of both characters, this movie is typical of the many youth-focused, bad-budgeted, over-sexed and poorly written movies out there today. The only reason I can stand it and possibly buy it is because I've known these guys for about 9 years and for the rest of you die-hard fans out there, you're in for a damned good time! It's been a few years since the conclusion of Jason X, in which Jason is finally, we hope, killed, and Freddy Krueger has lost his strength and terrible power amongst the many young and strong youth of Elm St. So, conveniently, he finds a way to resurrect Jason Voorhees (what a plot!) to help him do his dirty work. Things go well indeed at first, however, when Krueger finally has just enough strength to kill a youth in his/her dream, Jason snatches them away, making Krueger angrier and angrier until finally, Jason is just uncontrollable and they have themselves a showdown at Krueger's Elm St. and Voorhees Camp Crystal Lake, during which several knowledgeable teenagers (worse acting ever, including a token performance from Kelly Rowland) are trying to kill them themselves. Although this takes an hour to develop into the ultimate duel of this century, (except for maybe Neo and Smith of the Matrix) when Freddy and Jason finally go at it, the fans will be sure to scream with excitement and maybe even some rooting for their favorite. However, for you movie critics out there, enjoy your nap!
Rating: Summary: It's about time! Review: I at first thought this was going to be a really stupid movie, I was soooooo wrong! This movie takes 2 of the best horror characters, which I put into cult classic category and bring them together for a showdown! They do what they are known to do, kill of people, yet they find the time to kick each others butts! This movie is worth putting into your collection!

Rating: Summary: It's fun. Sadly, it's not amazing. Review: As the blood red NEW LINE CINEMA logo unfolded, with the Krueger melody softly flowing in background, horror fans worldwide gasped a final breath of excitement, for Freddy Krueger, the scarred-dreamstalker from "A Nightmare on Elm Street," and Jason Voorhees, the hockey-masked murderer from "Friday The 13th," were finally together and ready for bloody battle in Ronny Yu's ("Formula 51") "Freddy Vs. Jason," but, quite sadly, it feels more like a handful of fun sequences and tired cliches, than an all-around memorable horror experience. I will ignore the horrible acting from the 20-year old actors playing high-school kids, for that is a staple of both film series, but I will applaud Robert Englund who once again is wonderfully demented as Freddy Krueger. As the series had it's ups and downs, Mr. Englund remained wonderful as Ol' Crispy. OK, to the flaws, of which there are many. What is the title of this film? "Freddy Vs. Jason." That's entirely misleading, for the Machete-one and the Clawed-one do not mingle violently until the film's last 15 minutes (Although, it is shockingly violent and reminded me of a pulpy, but funny, comic-book). A more fitting title would be "Freddy & Jason," for the majority of the film they share a shaky partnership, you see. And the other gigantic flaw is the lamebrained attempt to add a mystery to the film. Did Freddy kill the lead actress' mother or did her father? Does anyone really care? This, while a tad interesting, is useless and angering to those of us expecting a fun horror ride. Ultimatley, this film amounts to a few cool action sequences, mixed in with horrid acting and cheesy mystery plots. I'd recommend you rent it, but not buy, for chances are, you'll also be disappointed by the lack of horror zap.
Rating: Summary: blown out of the water spectacular Review: This was the best horror move i've seen since Final Destination 2. The combination of two horror movie spoofs is totally genious. What would have been better though would be Michael vs. Jason as in Micheal Myers from Halloween, and Wishmaster vs. Hellraiser. Although it was the best horror movie i've seen in a long time and still is. I also love the songs they play in the movie. It's still the best though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: After years of waiting my prayers were answered. Review: I still have my movie stub from this film, I saw it on the day it came out. I've always been a fan of this series more than any other horror series. This film started off right. Freddy making his glove and giving a background to his story then Jason hunting down a camper in the name of his mother. This movie stayed strong all the way until the end. I saw a mention of this movie in the 1999 Guiness Book of World Records and I've been waiting since then...and when Jason and Freddy met up in the real world, in the cabin on fire, you can't help getting chills. The worst part of this movie is that Destiny's Child girl. I hate her more than anything ever. When shed died, however, I was so happy. I plan on reserving this movie at our local FYE and I suggest everyone else do the same.
Rating: Summary: Not as bad as it could have been Review: I have to admit I was surprised that this movie was not as terrible as I thought it was going to be. Had it been made, say, six or seven years ago at the height of the success of "Scream" and other self-referential "horror" flicks, this film probably would have been difficult to watch, especially for those that are already fans of the series. I have been following the progress of this film ever since 1996 (not as a full-time hobby, mind you) so needless to say I was expecting a lot. And while Freddy vs. Jason isn't perfect, it could have been much worse. The main problem with this movie is that it seems more like a Nightmare on Elm Street movie that just happens to involve Jason from the Friday the 13th movies. That's not necessarily a bad thing, and it's not really unexpected, either. The Nightmare films are the babies of New Line, and they just bought their way into the Friday series. None of their attempts at making a Friday the 13th movie have been in the vein of any of the Paramount features. Therefore, if you don't look at this as an attempt to be a Friday the 13th movie, but rather a Nightmare on Elm Street film, you will be pleasantly satisfied, as this film definitely beats out parts 5 and 6 of that series.
