Summary: unbelievably downright laughable
Review: This is simply one of the absolute WORST movies ever made. AVOID like herpes.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very, very demented comedy, not scary at all.
Review: Looking for class, subtlety, good acting, thought-provoking substance...? This is definitely not the movie to watch.

Once you get past the tongue-in-cheek killer-snowman references and obviously unskillful cast, you'll be able to enjoy the sheer depravity of the humour here. That is, if you've got an appreciation of the macabre and campy.

I usually don't subscribe to the theory that bad is good. In this case, however, the director obviously knows his filmic comedy -- his reveals are startling, the concepts quite original, and the execution pretty nifty. The striptease montage, for example, ends on a very satisfyingly coy note (great use of sound effects and music here), as does the rocking-chair gag. The malignant-snowman concept bears much potential for creative gags and Cooney milks it effectively.

Walk in expecting cranial matter and you'll obviously be disappointed. As silly, black film comedy, however, Jack Frost is highly enjoyable. One note, however -- unless you're the horror-unsavvy kind that gets scared at I Still Know What You Did Last Summer or Scream, don't expect any horror out of this one at all. Texas Chainsaw Massacre this isn't.

Summary: A masterpiece!
Review: Boy, what a movie! If you've ever wondered what it would be like to see a psychotic snowman wreak havoc and murder on the population of a small town, look no further! In terms of concept, this one is nearly as good as Killer Klowns from Outer Space. When you watch the tub scene, just ask yourself, where'd the carrot go?

Summary: An absolute, God-awful mess!!!
Review: This easily the worst horror movie I have ever seen, and believe you me, I've seen them all. The budget for this turd, must have come in below the fifty thousand dollar mark, because the special effects and acting are horrible! Jack Frost, the movie, looks like it was shot on someone's home camcorder, with their neighbors being the cast and crew members. Don't get me wrong, Jack Frost isn't all bad. It does have a few funny moments, but I honestly believe the producers weren't trying to make a horror comedy, but were trying instead to make a serious horror film. Jack Frost, the evil snowman, looks like one of the old Gumby and Pokey claymation figures. This aint no state of the art cinema. If it had been shot 40 years ago, I might have given it a few more stars. This road apple ranks up there, in stink factor, with the likes of Plan 9 from outer Space, and The Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes! To think, someone had the stones to transfer this raw sewage onto a DVD! Jack Frost has opened up a new class of B movies, called B-XXX...to be watched or viewed only if you are blind drunk or stoned out of your mind! If you aren't a lush, or if you don't do drugs, stay far away from this Nightmare on DVD!!!

Summary: Great comedy\horror
Review: Jack Frost is probably the most humorous horror film I have ever seen. Jack's attitude is just too cool. He is this tough guy ex-con\killer who kind of reminds me of the Black-Angus guy. Jack turns into a snowman when he is covered with some nasty toxic stuff. If you are into one-liners, this movie has them all. I would have to say that DEAD ALIVE comes in second as the most humorous horror film(sorry) One of the things I really liked was that it has some very imaginative death scenes, with a christmas theme. It is worth checking out if you are at all interested in horror comedy or creative death scenes.

Summary: Quality entertainment for any college student
Review: I first I thought this was going to another crappy midnight movie. Boy was I wrong. The plot was ridiculous, the way that the snowman moved was horrible, but the movie was so funny. One of the funniest parts is when the snowman rides a metal sled over the neck of a young boy, decapitating the boy and sending his head flying. The pure stupidity that this movie displays makes it so comical. I give it high recommendations unless you are easily offended.

Summary: hang on.....
Review: Not intended to be a major production, JACK FROST pulls through for its extremely low budget. Made from styrefoam, the snowman is never seen walking...how can you say that's not hilarious!! He also rapes a woman in a bath tub with his carrot nose!!! That's raw! This movie is awesome for the low budget direct to video fare. Worth checking out, it's a light hearted slashed flick that stars a styrefoam snowman as the killer...awesome. Check this one out and give some respect to no budget filmmaking.

Summary: Somebody hyped this movie?
Review: You've got to be kidding. This little-seen direct-to-video has to be...well, seen to be believed. It's intentionally campy, and done on a ludricously small budget. But once you get past that, it's great fun as every imaginable horror-snowman possibility is explored.

Summary: I dunno why they are dissing this
Review: For a true horror fan like me I felt this to be a refreshing difference in comparison to all the other horror shows. I liked it!

Summary: Stupid, yet so funny...
Review: Okay, this is probably the stupidest movie I and my sister Jane think we've ever seen. We are bad movie conniessuers, and we know from personal experience just how awful some moveis can be.

But Jack Frost is so stupid, we actually kind of liked it in a way, just because it made us laugh. Imagine, a giant possessed snowman out for revenge! Yeah, we thought it was ridiculous too. And to top it off, the movie's acting and special effects (if you can call them that) were just about as ridiculous as its storyline.

But it was these facts that made us love it to death, and therefore I'm going to recommend Jack Frost to all you B-movie lovers out there. A-Pix entertainment is the king of all stupid movies, and I heart them anyway.
