Review: bloody murder has got to be one of the worst movies in the history of mankind for the following reasons: bad acting, bad dialogue, bad plot, bad take on cliches, lack of budget, poor directing...enough said...to all those who actually view this movie, you will be a little bit dumber having sat through this ... guranteed.

Summary: Bloody Murder-A theatrical masterpiece
Review: Bloody Murder is an absolutley brilliant film. Words couldn't say how very deeply I adored this movie. It is art. The character development is superb. The plot is suspenseful, horrifying, and electrifying. This one kept me guessing right to the end. The cinematography is unparalelled to any other I have seen...ever. Why this film didn't sweep the academy awards, I will not know. The acting is amazing. These young minds have lured me into a world of guessing and astonishment. Why they are not famous? Who knows. The characters have such interesting lives! Julie, the main character is so multi faceted, it blows me away. And the very thought of Trevor Moorehouse keeps me waking up in the middle of the night terrified, drenched in a cold sweat. The bottom line, my friends, is that Bloody Murder is incredible. Rent it immediatly and beware of the woods...

Summary: One Of The All Time Horror Insults
Review: Bloody Murder is so excruciatingly awful, you'll have a real hard time getting past the first 20 minutes. Now, I know the makers were probably trying for something campy and stupid, but this is just too stupid!. No sense of enjoyment at all. The acting is the worst acting you will ever see in your life. The scare scenes so routine and thinly written, you would think a dyslexic, narcoleptic monkey wrote it. This is the most unintelligent filmmaking ever captured on film. A huge embarrasment.

Summary: The Laughtracks We Camp By
Review: From the depths of summer slasher flicks arises Bloody Murder, a film that has been touted both as trademark infringement and as a boring spectacle but, in actuality, is neither. Instead, it is something of a fun-loving oddity, one that doesn't immerse the screen in blood, nudity, and a sometimes sensible plotline, and that seems drawn into jovial moodswings because of the things other movies before it have done. While there is indeed a killer running rampant with a hockey mask and a chainsaw without a working blade/garden claw/yard dart set/other utensils, it was meant to be a mockery of those wonderful traditions that brought us our Sleepaway Camps, Friday the 13ths, and so many others. Even the campground they are at, Placid Pines, echo that mentality. The story begins with tales of Trevor Moorehouse, the local campground bogeyman, and the feats of horror he has inflicted upon the populous. Still, our instructors laugh these bits of folklore off, looking forward to having the time of their lives as most local people do - working through the generations at camp Placid Pines. When our initial five arrive upon the scene, they are greeted by four others - a boss, two people they don't know, and another they seeming hate - and everything seems like a funfilled experience. That all changes, however, when they decide to play a little game of "it" they call Bloody Murder one night and the people, one by one, begin disappearing throughout the days. If you are someone that requires more than a "who done it" mixed into your almost bloodless Bloody Murder, you might want to simply rent this film and not take your chances. Still, if you do like your bodies cold, your campgrounds desolate, and your
humor a little violent, its well worth a look. To note, the DVD is a bit barren but does have a feature allowing you to skip to any death, amusing me to no end in the process.

Summary: Good if you like bad movies
Review: I agree completely that this is not a good movie, but I do not agree that it has no redeeming qualities at all. This is the type of movie that is perfect to make fun of. It is so bad that you can laugh yourself silly at it. One thing that I found to be hilarious is that it kept going from night to day every five minutes during the first half of the movie. However, even with these redeeming qualities, I do not feel that this movie deserves to be preserved for the ages on DVD.

Review: I bought this movie at blockbuster due to the cover. It looked like it might be similar to Friday the 13th. When I watched it, I didnt want to finish it because it was so bad. I recommend you not rent or buy this movie. A definite waste of money. No gore, nudity, suspense, etc. It had nothing a decent horror movie has. For the love of God, please dont get this movie. If you do, you will see what I'm talking about. I had to rate this movie a 1 because it wouldn't let me leave the rating part blank. Unfortunately

Review: I know, I know....the cover looks cool...a dude with a hockey mask and a chainsaw, but the movie sucks big time. I saw the cover to the movie in the video store and i said to my self "This movie looks like it would be pretty good"...please don't make the same mistake I did. I also thought there would be alot of gore in it, but there is hardly any, you would think a guy with a chainsaw would leave a little gore behind....wrong!!! I mean the guy only has the chainsaw one friggin time!! The movie is so bad, you are embarrassed when you watch it. Only rent this movie if you want to see how awful a movie can be.

Summary: Fun low-budget movie
Review: I've seen this movie twice... the first time I was somewhat disappointed with it, as like some of the other reviewers, I thought there wasn't enough gore, tension, and scary moments. Strangely enough, I really had fun watching it a second time, and here's why: instead of watching it as a horror / slasher flick, I watched it as more of a murder mystery... who is the killer? What is his / her / their motivation? In my opinion, the best moments of this movie are when various characters run through their various hypotheses regarding the killer and motive. The screenplay was well-crafted, so at any time the killer may be any one of a number of characters. Some of the dialog between characters is quite amusing. So if you look at the cover, and think hockey mask + chainsaw = gore, gore, gore you'll undoubtedly be disappointed. But if you keep an open mind and play along trying to figure out the killer and motive, you should enjoy the flick. The soundtrack to the movie is excellent, considering that this movie had to be super low budget. The actors also do a nice job.
