Summary: alright
Review: This chainsaw sequel was Ok. I really honestly think it could have been a all around better sequel, with the setup and characters and all. But come on leatherface was an idiot. They made him look like such a joke in this one. I mean the last half hour all you see of leatherface is him getting dressed up in his nice little woman mask and clothes and see him at the dinner table putting lipstick on about 10 times.i mean just look at the cover of the movie, that explains alot. There were some good, scary chase scenes, and when we see leather the first time with his cool mask on its pretty neat. Besides that it kinda goes down hill. This movie in no way compares to the fun, and scary original or even parts 2 and 3 which werent too bad..

Summary: twisted weirdness
Review: I just saw this movie a few days ago and it surprised me by how weird it is!
Great INSANE performances and the return of Leather Face's feminine side from the end of the first massacre as well as some crazyness beyond description make this a wild ride!
Check out the reviews for the other dvd version of this film here on Amazon too before picking this one up. You'll either love it or hate it!

Summary: This movie is bad.
Review: I was surprised about how bad this movie was considering it was written by the co-writer of the original film. When Kim Henkel wrote this I belive she was trying to write an entirely different story from the original film. Now in its own right this is a good film.If they didn't give it the same name and wrote Leatherface into a different character the movie would've been better. But considering this was an installment into the series it really sucked.I'm a huge fan of the TCM films,i've seen every one including the remake and this is at the bottom. The movie is did introduce two of todays biggest stars which are Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey who was recently in a good horror film called "Frailty".This movie is one of the only two box office flops in the TCM series and its not to hard to understand, considering Leatherface is wearing a dress and lipstick and the fact that when that woman flashes her boobs you can see that they're fake. The makeup is bad,the script is awful,

the acting is bad even from Zellweger and McConaughey and it's a bad movie, but if you have to see all the movies in the series,if you have to.

Summary: The only good thing about this one is two future stars
Review: Anyone who loved the American horror classic, the Texas Chainsaw massacre, stay away from this one. In fact anyone who likes horror movies in general stay away. The movie not only runs that 80's horror motif of teens lost and chased by killer into the ground, but also destroys the character of "Leatherface".

The only thing worth seeing in this movie is an early view of two future stars. The "Girl who lives" of the movie is played by a quiet, glasses wearing young lady who like everyone else on the movie was a unknown during its making. However a close look reveals the future starlett to be none other then Renee Zeilwegger of Jerry McGwire and other fame. The head of the murderous crazy of wacko's is none other then Matthew McConnahuay .

The story line is the typical chase kids through the woods horror movie. In fact the character dialogue comes across as cheesy and terrible acting by all except for Matt and Renee. The characters range from the airhead Heather(if her acting was half as good as her looks she would be the next Meryl Streep) and her arrogant boyfriend. These two superficial characters provide little to the story line except irritation and are luckily killed off pretty quick. The chase scenes in the early to mid part of the movie are also uninspiriing. Same ole stuff.

The only part of the movie worth seeing is the Psychotic outbursts by Vilmer(played by Mcconnhauy) and his clueless better half. She is best known as Mrs. Davis from Varsity Blues. Also look for the deputy that gives Tweeter smack from Varsity Blues as Vilmer's history quoting sidekick. Vilmer captures the psychotic, deranged madman to a T, blending dark humor with his misdeeds. Leatherface is totally revamped, and instead of the chainsaw attacking madman.. comes across as a crossdressing wimp who even cowers after a verbal assault by Jenny in the end of the movie. This isn't the Leatherface we all know and love.

Its no secret why the two main protagonists in the movie, Vilmer and Jenny, are the two who went on to high profile acting careers. Their acting is the only thing that keeps this movie from being one of those flicks doomed to be a dusty tape cover in a tape store somewhere. Although their roles don't give any justice to their later accolades.. its fun to see them "before they were stars". Assuming you can handle the rest of the movie.

If you have any regard for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.. do not buy this one.

Summary: a MASTERPIECE one of my alltime favs.
Review: The New York Times even said it "was one of the few sequels that is as good as the original". The irony is gorgeous. Leatherface is now a sensitive crossdressing type that keeps to herself and gets upset when there is quarreling in the house. Except at the end when SHE'S DRESSED LIKE STEVIE NICKS AND DOES STEVIE NICKS TWIRLS WAVING A CHAINSAW OVER HER HEAD IN A SUNNY WHEATFIELD. It will bring a tear to your eye. This movie is chilling, hilarious, well written and well acted. No boring parts, no confusing parts, just an imaginative rollercoaster ride through hell and back. Conceptually is does stray from the other Chainsaws, but in a delightfully twisted way, which HAS to be why some purists were confused and gave it a bad review. Who the hell cares about Renee or that other guy anyways.

Summary: THE BUZZ IS BACK!
Review: IT'S ALWAYS GREAT TO SEE LEATHERFACE AND HIS FAMILY BACK IN ACTION EVEN IF HE IS DRESSED IN DRAG. ACTUALLY THAT MAKES SENSE IF YOU'VE SEEN THE END OF THE ORIGINAL FILM AND NOTICED HE IS WEARING WOMEN'S MAKE UP. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT AND NOW I KNOW. PLUS THEY BROUGHT BACK THE HOUSE! IT'S THE SAME HOUSE AS THE ORIGINAL! THIS MIGHT BE TOO FUNNY FOR SOME OR TOO WEIRD FOR OTHERS BUT I THOUGHT THE BLEND OF HUMOR AND INSANE S$%# WAS PERFECT! MCCONAUGHEY ROCKS!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: McConaughey is INCREDIBLE
Review: Matthew McConaughey gives an amazing performance in this film. Anyone who does not find him scary needs serious psychological help. He is terrifying!! The dynamics and personalities of the Chainsaw family members are the greatest strength of this series and although I enjoyed the other members of the family McConaughey steals the show and is fantastic.

Summary: Are you kidding me?
Review: At first I was no fan of the origional, but now i enjoy it a lot, and the remake is a fun time, but this..!!! What was Hollywood thinking? This has to be the worst sequel in the series! And most of the ones after the origional werent too great to begin with, but this is pure garbage! Im not smacking the fans who enjoy this movie, it's just not my cup of tea so to speak. But if some people like it, that's good enough, this just was a huge let down for me.
