Summary: good movie
Review: this was a good movie i thought that the cast did a great job if you haven't seen it you should go see it and then see it's sequel I Still Know What you did Last Summer

Summary: Big Disapointment
Review: Until about a week ago, I hated horror movies because they left me scared for weeks of serial killers following and brutally killing characters that you never even got to know in the movie. Therefore, when both the Scream and I know what you did last summer series came out,I didn't rush out to see them. Then, a week ago I was at my friend's house and decided that it was time I should watch Scream. I loved it! My other friends who had also never seen the series and I rented the sequel the night after, and then the third one the night after that. I loved all of them. We then decided that we should start watching these teen horror flicks so we rented I know what you did last summer and I still know what you did last summer. After watching the first one, we were horribly disapointed. The second one was better, but still a huge disapointment. The movie(s) have barely any plot at all. 2 of the 3(Ryan Phillipe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr.)good actors were killed off halfway through the film and the whole story was just totally unrealistic(people's reactions to the killer)and random. The second one was pretty much the same, except this time we were used to the random scenes and bad acting and pretty much just joked the whole time about how Jennifer Love Hewitt just had to show so much cleavage throughout both of the films. In all, if you're looking for a teen Horror Flick, rent scream, not this...even if you've already seen scream, it's better then wasting your money on this [stuff].

Summary: One of the best horror movies I have seen
Review: Well, I Know What You Did Last Summer is so creepy and scary, much better than its sequel! I gave this movie a five-star, because it deserves it - great music, unpredictable plot, great acting, gore and more.

Four friends (Julie, Helen, Barry, Ray) drive in a car after a 4th of July party and run over a man, whom they assume is dead. Unfortunately he isnt and a year later, he hunts them down and has a plan of his own.

I personally like this movie because I have seen it for the first time on a dark creepy night and it just stayed in my mind for a long time. This is a movie that leaves you looking over your shoulders before you go to sleep. You've got to buy it and watch it at night!

Summary: A great movie
Review: I know what you did last summer was one of the best films I had seen in a long time. It's based on 4 kids on there graduation night who supposedly murder someone and throw the corpse in the sea. One yr later someone comes after them, a fisherman with a hook for a hand. One by one they are killed. The only mistake with this movie was putting Jennifer Love Hewitt as the main character, Sarah Michelle Gellar would definanently have done a better job. This movie is very scary but to a point where it makes v movie much more enjoyable. The best scenes are Helen's (S.M Gellar) hair cut incident and Julie's (J.L Hewitt) find in her car boot. The main scare is at the end. Watch out for Julie in the bottom of the boat in the ice pit! Finally the cliff hanger. It definanently made me wanna c I still know. But by the sounds of Amazons reviews I'll pass.

Summary: Nothing Like The Original
Review: I've never seen this movie before, but from what I've heard about it and read about it...this movie seems very far from what the book is about. Unlike the book, this movie is about hitting a person and hiding him. In the book they hit a young boy and call 9-1-1. Tnen a year later it leads into a mystery about the boy's older half-brother seeking out the killers. He finds out one day that the younger teen that he is dating was one of the passengers in the car involved, he plans to kill her and her friends.

Though the movie does have an excellent cast and is a well known thriller, I would suggest the book first. This is why I rate it 3 Stars.

Summary: Hook, Line, And Sinker
Review: As four friends drive home from a summer party, they hit a pedestrian with their car, and kill him. They decide to dump the corpse into the sea, rather than risk calling the police, and ruining their lives. They make a pact never to discuss the incident every agian.. One year later Julie, (Jennifer Love Hewitt) Helen, (Sarah Michelle Gellar) Ray, (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) and Barry (Ryan Philippe`) find themselves being stalked by the victim that they left for dead. Based on the teen books of Lois Duncan, the film's script was adapted by Kevin Williamson, of SCREAM fame. Released at a time when horror films were, once again, hot at the box office, the film is better than one might expect. The young and "in the moment" cast hits all of the right notes for this thriller. Directed by Jim Gillespie, the film has some frightfully good moments, and builds to a solid (and somewhat exciting) conclusion. The script, athough not as clever as SCREAM, holds its momentum and is filled with a lot of Williamson-esque touches.

The DVD has only two extras on it. The director's commentary track is pretty good. It offers a few interesting tid-bits of information about the production and and some script changes. The other extra is the theatrical trailer. Viewers can also choose between the widesreen or pan and scan formats. Despite the lack of any other extras on the disc, the film is still an above average teen slasher flick, and comes recommended

Summary: Could Have Passed As Sequal To 'Scream'
Review: This movie is actually based on a book by Lois Duncan. It is about four teenagers who accidently run over a guy, then dump his body in the ocean. Then one year later, they start receiving threats like "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER". They know someone knows, but who? This movie has a good plot, and is sometimes scary. It even has a weird twist at the very end, which gives you the clue to the sequal (I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER).

Summary: Are slasher films going through a slow period?
Review: This, just like all other recent slasher films, have hit a sour chord. Many people say that slashers just aren't up to par anymore, and I agree. I believe that it's mainly because Hollywood decided to start casting celebrity heartthrob 'beautiful people' as the stars.
Horror slashers used to cast no name actors/actresses and it gave you a gave you a sense of reality -- that it could be any Joe or Jane Doe being stalked by the killer.
You never heard of these people before, and for the most part, never heard from them again.
It takes the believability potential out of a slasher film when you see celebrities getting stalked.

As for "I Know What You Did Last Summer," I had high hopes for it and really tried to enjoy it, but it really wasn't that thrilling for me. The more times I saw this film, the more I realized that it was created as nothing more than a fame vehicle for the celebrities that stared in it.

Summary: A middling slasher at best.
Review: Four teens who run over a man and cover the crime up are stalked by a mysterious figure who claims to know what they did that night. This Kevin Williamson slasher is actually good fun for a while, before it gets increasingly ludicrous and falls apart completely in the conclusion. Sarah Michelle Gellar is actually decent here, but Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze, Jr. deliver one-note performances, and they do it poorly.
** 1/2 out of *****

Summary: Good movie
Review: This was a very good movie... It was suspenseful and had a good plot. It took a while to get "into" it. What I mean is that the exciting parts didn't happen until near the middle. It wasnt' really that scary but it served it's point. It's a good movie but, if you're looking to find a scary movie to rent then don't get this... get something like "Halloween" or "Scream".
