Summary: Why would anyone make this movie?
Review: I saw the last twenty minutes of this movie on TV while eating lunch yesterday. I only watched it because that happened to be what was showing when I turned the TV on. Some people got killed by a guy in a mask and then they kill him. Prior to that, there was probably nudity and foul language, but definitely plenty of bad acting.

I don't understand why anyone would make this movie. They knew it would make no money and being a part of it would only by a blemish on their resumes. Furthermore, why would anyone write it? Who asked them? It must have written itself, like Robocop, except not as good.
"What's it called?"
"Bloody Murder 2."
"Oh. Just put some kids in a camp and get a guy with a knife. And make sure these kids can't act!"

Summary: "A lot better than the first..."
Review: After the first "Bloody Murder" film, which totally blew, "Bloody Murder 2: Closing Camp" is quite a fun movie to watch. However, the killer, Trevor Moorehouse, doesn't look anything like he does on the cover, now he wears overalls, a black shirt, gardening gloves, a black full-overhead stocking cap, and a face mask that, instead of Jason, looks like Michael Myers. Sucks, huh? I do think the other look fits Moorehouse better, because it's more wicked and evil, but this one is good, too.

This features much more of Trever Moorehouse than the first one did, and this time it's the REAL Trevor Moorehouse, not some counselor pretending to be him. And guess what? He does NOT have a chainsaw for a left hand. Sure, he uses a chainsaw, but it's not his left hand. He's got both his hands, and he even uses a machete once or twice in this picture.

The acting was pretty horrible, and some of the effects were cheesy, such as the death of Trevor's father, and also Elvis' death. But, overall, Bloody Murder 2 had an okay plot.

"Bloody Murder 2" definitely belongs in my collection, see if it's the same for you.

Summary: I expected better film, but it is OK
Review: As I say I expected better film, but it is OK.It has some cool gory moments/finally someone use chainsaw and machetes/,perfect setting/I love woods and camps/,but somewhere in the middle it has too much asking, talking, young detectives and so.But as I say it has his moments, and it is totally OK.

Review: Bloody Murder 2

(The Plot)
It's been five years since Trevor Moorehouse terrorized Camp Placid Pines, piling up bodies like cords of wood. But now the counselors must close the camp for the winter - and they are not alone...

(The Movie)
After hearing about how bad the first movie is supposed to be, it made me want to see them. You know, to see how bad they really were. I had never gotten the chance to see the fist Bloody Murder movie until recently though I had seen Bloody Murder 2 last year. Now that I have seen both I can compare them to one another. This sequel is a step-up in every single way possible compared to its first movie. The killer looks cooler, the acting is better (but still not all that good), the atmosphere is a better (mostly at night time) and they've toned down the many ideas which were stolen from other movies.

Even though this film seems like your typical, low-budget slasher movie there's something about Trevor Moorehouse that kept me thinking. I still don't know if it was actually him doing the killings or someone just trying to imitate him like in the first movie. Either it's intentional or they forgot to clear that up in the second movie, which was probably the case as I doubt the people responsible for this film are rocket scientists. I'll just leave it with a guess, Trevor Moorehouse did it.

If you enjoyed the first film, you can't go wrong with this one. If you didn't like the first film but enjoy slasher movies, give it a try. If you don't like slasher movies in general, don't bother with this.

(The DVD)
Nothing about the DVD surprises me. The picture quality is average, can't always expect perfection from a straight-to-video movie which I think was shot on video instead of film. You also get a 5.1 Dolby Digital audio track for the film, so that's decent I guess.

The extras on this disc are what I like to call "extras for idiots", they're not really extras. The picture gallery is just a bunch of stills taken from the movie, nothing which you can't see by pausing at the right moment in the movie. There are a few theatrical trailers, nothing fancy and also something called "Jump To A Bloody Murder" which they actually surprised me with. With this extra I thought it'd just be a way of watching the death scenes from the featured movie without having to skip ahead but instead it's 3 full scenes of people being killed from the first film. These were the best scenes from the first film, when I say "best" it still doesn't mean they were any good though.

Summary: Better!
Review: BM2 was very well done! Better acting. More Twists! And One Hell Of A Fun Time!

Summary: Camper, The Other White (And Dark!) Meat!
Review: Camp Placid Pines, home of summertime fun, childhood romances, and a plethora of slaughterhouse fantasies, is closing for the winter and its up to the councilors to see that its done correctly. Despite being the scene of the grizzly antics of Trevor Moorehouse - son of the meanest councilor the camp had ever seen and unfortunate victim of some vengeful campers - half a decade ago, it is now staffed and kept maintained, with people thinking that those events are once more behind them. Unfortunately for them, there is a lack of believers in the fold, a plethora of time in which to mutilate and to evoke damnation, too many bouts with nudity for a man with a mask on to ignore, and the sister of one of the first Moorehouse victims onboard.

Before watching this or reading my rating, be warned that this isn't given stars because it was some phenomenal rendition breathing breaths into an 80's remedy for boredom. In fact, Bloody Murder 2 isn't something that, in any way, shape, or form, can be mistaken for groundbreaking. Like many of the titles that have come before it, it deals with a legend, Trevor Moorehouse, who stalks the killing fields of the summertime getaways looking for fresh, preferably sexuality active, victims to introduce to a multitude of deaths. In these types of films there are always clichés attached to certain roles and methods formulated in their deaths, plus some way to get revenge in the end and to at least stop the killings and bring about a jaded form of closure. Added to that is the fact that the actors aren't normally good, the effects go for the graphic, the sequels reasoning is thinly based, and the only reasons to normally what this type of "who dies next" is to see people that play together lay together.
So, why the high rating?
Well, its because I'm a fan of movies of this nature, with little to no redeem qualities other than a bodycount and a cruel methodology of mutilation to maintain.

In this installment of the Moorehouse chronicles, the effects are nicely done (Bravo!) despite some of the deaths are clear mockeries of other movies. A bow is broken out, an axe, and other various instruments, digging into the supple skin of those least suspecting it and making it fun. Added to that is the fact that the screaming by some of the characters is some of the beast screaming I've heard from a male in quite some time, making me almost feel the plight of those suffering when I heard it. The way the dying is approached in some instances, the way the pain is levied and given, is also interesting, and it keeps the theme alive and running. And the sexuality, well, it isn't masked in this film and neither is the atypcial need for slasher film nudity.

Be warned, however, that this is something that slasher fans may find hit-or-miss and that you would definitely want to sample before buying. With a lack of inhibition, however, it may just be the perfect fit to a boring night for you.

Summary: Return of the ambiguous killer
Review: I gotta say this one was an improvement. The first one was the slasher movie without the slashing. I mean, oddly, no gore, very little profanity, and no nudity, all of this overshadowed by a VERY Scooby Dooish plotline. But, it did involve a hockey mask, a summer camp, and some girls, so I liked it okay. In this movie, however, we see a return to time-honored traditions, and I found them encouraging. Essential elements are thrown into the mix.

The Plus Column:
a. You get to see the camp bullies (two sissies that looked like rejects from the bad karate kids in Karate Kid) turned into spare parts. Always cool. Subsection #1: Most of the people you dislike the most get bumped off at a reasonably fast rate, with only a couple of exceptions.

b. They actually explain the whole ambiguous Trever Moorehouse thing, which they skipped in the first one, although, unfortunately, the origin isn't very original.

c. Many of the murders happened at night, under the proper atmosphere, unlike the first one where almost everyone got semi-slashed in broad daylight.

d. Chicks, baby, chicks! Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. The first one had some pretty girls, but these chicks are much hotter. As a matter of fact, the whole thing centers around a nymphish blonde, honey-skinned and long-legged, ooh yeah, very distracting, which is cool because she takes your mind off of the lower points of the film.

The Con Column:
a. The killer had no theme at all. He wore overalls over a hooded sweatshirt, and a mask like the Tooth Fairy in Darkness Falls. No trademark weapons. I mean, I know in the first one they ripped both the Main Man Jason Vorhees and Leatherface with the hockey mask and chainsaw, but it was still better than what you have this time around. Vorhees wouldn't even spit in this guy's direction. Madman Marz, I hate to say, looked cooler.

b. The same Scooby Doo storyline. When the killer is revealed at the end, I know he was chomping his teeth to say, "Those meddling kids." But the good thing is, instead of Fred, Daphne, Velma, Scooby and Shaggy, you just kinda have a blonde Daphne.

c. The head camp guy, owner, whatever he was. Uuggh. He made Patrick from the first movie look like Bruce Willis from Last Man Standing. I can't see how ANY parent would send their kid to this guy for the summer.

All and all, I'd say this movie is worth the effort, especially if you saw the first one. I didn't rent it, I bought it, and it was pretty well worth the money.

Summary: Not Bad, But Could Have Been Better
Review: I just saw this movie for the first time and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Let me just say that Katy Woodruff is HOT!!! ...
