Review: IN THIS ONE, A TEENAGE BOY LIVES IN FREDDY'S HOUSE. FREDDY VISITS HIM IN HIS DREAMS AND HE POSSESSES HIS BRAIN SO THAT HE CAN KILL TEENAGERS IN THEIR DREAMS. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF AN ''EXCORCIST'' RIPOFF. BAD STORYLINE, AMATEURISH ACTING, AND CORNY MURDER SEQUENCES. FREDDY IS STILL COOL, BUT EVERYONE ELSE IS BORING. THIS MOVIE DOES NOT BELONG IN THIS SERIES. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECCOMEND THIS GARBAGE TO ANYONE. IF YA WANNA SEE IT WITHOUT WASTING YA MONEY, WAIT FOR IT TO COME ON TV SOMETIME. WHAT A WASTE. AND CHECK THIS OUT, THEY USED THE SAME THING THAT THEY USED IN THE FIRST MOVIE TO KILL HIM HERE. VERY BAD SEQUEL WITH A REALLY CORNY ENDING.

Summary: It Isn't The Worst-That Honor Goes To 4 and 5
Review: As you may or may not already know, this is the black sheep of the Elm Street family. It's not as bad as all the negative reviews you're gonna read, but I'm not saying it's a masterpiece either. This film was doomed from the getgo coz it's a sequel. Worse than that, a sequel to a very original, successful and scary film. Nightmare 2 had some rather large shoes to fill. Freddy's Revenge? I'm not sure who he's getting revenge on coz Nancy's nowhere to be seen in this film. I like this film coz it's very dark and sinister. Freddy is in a very bad mood this time around, and it shows with his rather sadistic murders. Plus, he does something he'd never do again: He crashes a pool party-in the real, not dream world-and runs rampant, slicing all the kids up into coleslaw. Also, Freddy never "possesses" anybody ever again-must have not liked it much the first time. But I like this serious, menacing Freddy. We'll never see this Freddy again, coz he soon becomes a total parody of himself. And I don't care what anyone says about this film, you've gotta admit that the whole opening dream with the schoolbus is one of the coolest moments in the entire series. That always creeped me out as a kid. So, go ahead and read the other reviews, but bear in mind, as flawed as this film may be, it's the only film in the series other than the first that gives us the serious Freddy and reminds us why he scared you in the first place.

Summary: A major step down from the original
Review: After Wes Craven crafted a classic with the original Nightmare on Elm Street, this second installment debuted a year later with Jack Sholder (The Hidden) at the helm. Much of the suspense and eerie atmosphere from the original film is replaced here with some great gore effects and set pieces, but as a whole is a very poor comparison to the original with an uncompelling and contradictory storyline (the presence of Wes Craven is sorely missed) and characters that we could really care less about. Craven would return as co-writer in the next installment, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, which was a big step above this lackluster entry in the series.

Review: part 2 in the series isnt "ridiculous", its just lacking. The killing count is too low in this movie. The plot wasnt all that bad but Freddy could have caused more blood shed than he did. I like when he raided the pool party but it did over step the boundaries, because Freddy is supposed to be mysterious and hardly anyone knowing about him. i think it could have been a hell of alot better. Bottom line Part 2 did "just enough" to spark another sequel, had it been any less than what it is, Part 3 may have not gotten any attention.

Review: HORRIBLE! That's the only word I can use to describe this sequel.After Wes Craven created a horrible monster in the original, Freddy is turned into a complete laughingstock here. We not only see Freddy's face, but he gets around to making cute cracks that just destroyed his wickedness. Nancy SHOULD have appeared here as it would have made more sense. Instead, we're left to relive her experiences through her diary that she left in a corner of her bedroom closet. This sequel is a comedy (and an unfunny one at that!) not horror. Craven got on the ball and righted some wrongs in "Dream Warriors."

Review: On my quest to find a good sequel, I stumbled upon a hidden gem called Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. I don't know why this movie is panned. Actually, I do know why. It's really horrible. The basic premise this time is so [corny] it's almost laughable. This boy (I forget his name, but it doesn't really matter) moves into Freddy's old house, which as you may remember was inhabited by this girl Nancy (who, by the way, is NOWHERE to be seen in this movie but will return in part 3, which probably should have been part 2), and starts to get hauntby Freddy. But this isn't the average "Freddy will stalk you in your dreams until he eventually kills you" haunting. For some...reason, which I will NEVER figure out, Freddy has turned from a dream master to someone who can possess someone's body and make them do weird stuff. I don't know who thought this was a good idea. It completely takes away from the legacy of Freddy. The point has always been people are not supposed to see him unless it's in his dreams. It's not much of a Nightmare on Elm Street if the guy's invading pool parties. Plus, the acting is SO horrible and the characters are SO [bad] that by halfway through the movie you want them all just to die and get it over with. The main characters, the boy and the girl that inexplicably fall in love, are two of the most annoying self centered [people] I've ever seen in a movie. They make absolutely no sense and the guy spends all his time whining to the girl and crying about how he can't stop freddy instead of being a man and trying to do something about it. At least Freddy is cool in this movie. However the...kid does most of the killings. One of the scenes will go down as the worst scenes in the history of movies. In this scene, which I will NEVER MENTION AGAIN for fear of losing my mind, the kid goes to a cross dressing bar, where he meets up with his gym coach. His coach takes him back to the gym, where he makes the kid run laps. Then, he makes the kid take a shower. As the kid is showering, the coach gets whipped and then killed by sports balls. The kid is then found naked on the side of the road and taken home by his parents. That's really all I can say to convince you how horrible this movie is. Please avoid this...

Review: Freddy Krueger ( Robert Englund) is back and now he possesses a Teenage boy who just moved into his Elm Street neighborhood. Extremely weak sequel that doesn't have the greatness of the original Wes Craven masterpiece, the acting is terrible and so is the script. Better off with the other sequels and the original than this weakling of a sequel.
