Summary: This Has to Be Seen to be Believed
Review: I give this a 3 out of 10, and 2 of the 3 points are for an incredible special effect involving an arrow through a guy's neck. I watched that in slo-mo 10 times and can't figure out how they did it, and it's especially amazing because it's about the only special effect in the entire movie! The other point I give because of the jaw-dropping ending others have mentioned. I won't call it disturbing or eerie because it's so amateurishly filmed, but it still needs to be seen to be believed. It's not a so-bad it's good movie, more of a "I can't believe someone out there made this and actually released it and people 17 years later are still watching it" movie. As for the DVD, it's got a surprisingly good picture for a low budget movie nearly two decades old. The commentary by the director and the lead actress is fairly entertaining.

Summary: Great slasher flick for horror fans...
Review: Sleepaway Camp is one of those B-movie classics that you just can't get enough of. There is a lot to like about Angela and her killing sprees. The death scenes in this movie are very gruesome for gore fans (and I don't mean Al). The characters are generally very likeable, even if many never made another movie after this one. My favorite character is probably Judy--she has spunk (even if it brings her to her horrible demise). Anyone that loves slasher movies should definitely give this one a try.

Summary: Just a little more than another '80s slasher flick
Review: When I picked up this movie and viewed it for the first time, I misjudged it by thinking it was just another Friday the 13th rip-off. Everything seemed to prove that: two kids going to another Camp for the summer, the typical characters of jocks and half-naked girls. The two kids both get in the camp, the boy gets accepted immediately but his sister starts having a hard time. Suddenly mysterious, quite brutal murders start to occur - taking down youngsters one-by-one...The ending is however not your "reveal-the-identity" scene like for instance Halloween or Friday the 13th... I must admit it had me freaked for a while. Rent it to find that one out - this is without doubt NOT just another '80s slasher movie.

Review: Well well well... if you are reading this you are at least half-way intersted in this movie, you`ve seen it, or you know me and your checking all my reviews. But if you did know me you would know how good of a movie this was. I even have all my friends areeing that this movie is a true masterpiece. If your into the cheese-balls such as Friday The 13th or April Fools Day, or even if your not you would definatly look a whole lot smoother with the best "B" movie that was made in the 80s. To add on to that, two great sequals to follow it. If your into "B" movies or just a good ol` horror-movie lover..you must indeed add this to your collection@

Review: Only marginally shaggy. But a script waiting for the end to be what it is. Totally derivative from other slasher movies. What hadn't they done? OK: that's our ending.

Summary: Such a different film...
Review: The only thing you have to consider when deciding to watch this video is: COMEDY. There is nothing so scary about the movie to classify it under horror. If I had a choice, I'd put it under comedy. It's great to make fun of. Some movies are great because of their actors or cinematography. This one is great because it's easy to make fun of. I loved it! Absolutely loved it!

Summary: almost decent slasher ruined by a rushed and stupid ending..
Review: lame acting, laughable deaths, and only mild suspense, but still a fun movie...i found myself enjoying this a great deal...then just as things were getting good..it was over, in one second, it ended,bam, the killer was revealed and a close-up or his/her face was given and it was over...if some thought and time were spent on the ending this would have been a great flick...but it was just too stupid for words...it was clever and shocking yes, but too rushed...the movie itself was good up to the final 2 minutes...overall a 2.5...

Summary: Sleepaway Camp is excellent!
Review: I saw this movie a while back and the ending scared the hell out of me! It starts off pretty good and ends that way.. The death scenes are somewhat enjoyable, very similar to the ones found on Friday The 13th. The acting fits the movie. Well, to put this short, if you are a horror-head like me and enjoy the old Friday The 13th flicks, plus some Slumber Party Massacres, then you will definitely eat this up, plus the ending is SO spooky, and shocking! This will blow you away, and it makes perfect sense, I can't believe I didn't catch it earlier.. Buy / rent this on a fullmoon night with plenty of water and pizza, Yum!

Review: i'll sum this one up real quick. :. Basic 80's teen slasher flick, nothing more and nothing less. The ending does get plenty of stars, though, it was a real surprise when i 1st saw this a while back. The death scenes could have been a little better, though, but there should be enough to keep ya satisfied. Anyway, for those who like the slasher flicks in the 80's style, i can recommend, and this is, imo, infinitely better than all this teeny bopper scream crap pseduo-horror that gets released nowdays...

Review: I love this movie. My parents owned a video store when I was young and Sleepaway Camp, along with Mothers Day and American Gothic, was one of the best movies on the horror shelf. It is wonderful because it is strange and does not have an obvious ending. The actors do a good job and the roles they play are hard to forget. The killing action is a lot more interesting than any Jason flick, for sure. Make sure to see it if you get the chance!
