Summary: where is the button for "-5"
Review: Oh no, not an other Friday the Thirteenth movie. How many are there now, I think the number is innumerable.-Sometin' Kool

Summary: Absolute rubbish!
Review: So far I have been able to "stomach" the prequels and sequels that Friday the 13th has produced. The slasher flick is now at it's lowest peak. The plotline is of course routine....after drowning in Crystal Lake once and for all, Jason is accidentally resurrected by an anchor thrown down by a loveboat! The producers wanted to make a change in this film, they wanted to change the scenery. Camp Crystal, the original setting of all the killings has now become quiet because Jason is on his way to Manhattan! He makes his way onto a ship from the boat he travels on and so slaughters the teenagers on the boat one by one. it is up to those remaining in Manhattan to stop him once and for all. Terrible plot, poor acting, and a boring film overall. Do not invest your money in renting or buying this video whatsoever!

Summary: As if New York didn't have enough problems.
Review: This 8th film in the series was not that good and totally avoided all concepts of Camp Crystal Lake, I mean why would Jason kill anyone outside of the camp, this film completely forgot that fact.

I still liked this film, it was darkly humouress and mildly entertaining. The ending was naff, but I always like to see how ugly Jason is in every film when his mask comes off.

Summary: "Friday the 13th, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan" (1989)
Review: "Friday the 13th, Part VIII" is in fact one of the better films of the series. There is a complex plot, with some reasonably good acting and a dash of suspense here and there. Could have been better if Jason and co. spent more time in New York City (only 20 minutes of film), as this is the best part of the movie by far. Much better than "Part V", "Part VI" and "Part VII", but can't live up to the brilliance of the first four films. "Part VIII" brings a shine to the series that should have ended in 1984, but I think Jason should have been laid to rest before "The Final Friday" came into production in 1993.

Summary: This is Jason at his worst
Review: This is complete trash. Its not scary or entertaining. Jason only spends about the last fifteen minutes in New York, the rest he spends out on a cruise ship slaughtering teens. The acting is nothing impressive, and the way Jason was resurrected was laughable.

Summary: Not bad, but not great.
Review: I would like to say it was a nice change to see Jason get out of the woods and go somewhere, however there are some serious problems with this movie. For one, is Camp Crystal Lake an island or something? It would have never crossed my mind that Camp Crystal Lake is on an island in the Atlantic Ocean somewhere. Oh well, so what, no big deal, a tiny dumb flaw. The next problem arises with the title. Anyone seeing this movie would assume Jason spends most of his time in the streets of New York and half the movie takes place on the boat. Ok, so a little deception on the makers' part. The biggest problem I had with this movie was the ending. How in the world did Jason transform into a child as the sewage washes over him? I know the main character had visions of the little boy that tried to drown her as a child, was that all it was, was her vision? On the up side, I really enjoyed the idea of adding more evil to the movie besides Jason himself. Not only do our survivors from the boat ride have to deal with Jason in the city, they have to deal with New York's evils too, such as the rapists and druggies. A surely different flavor for the series and a good movie, however could have been made much better if the makers didn't leave such big obvious errors and holes in the movie.

Summary: Is New York ready?
Review: Jason is brought back to life yet again and boards a senior cruise to Manhattan, hacking up a bunch of teens and being let loose on the streets of New York. The best in the Friday series, no contest, with actual acting ability and some suspense. The SCREAM generation should enjoy this one.

Summary: A great slasher movie...
Review: I thought this movie is way better than other people say. First off, yes, it has more comedic elements to this one, but also remains the suspence. It also manages to go somewhere beside boring old camp crystal. The characters are actually somewhat likeable for a horror movie, and they can show somewhat decent acting talent. The only thing I felt was out of place was that most of the movie took place on a ship, not in New York. Oh well, still remains a great addition to a tiring series.

Summary: CANT BELIVE THEY WASTED MONEY ON MAKING THIS MOVIE
Review: Iv seen all of the Friday the 13th videos. And I have to say that this one is the absolute worst one they have ever made. I cant believe they wasted time and money and making this film. So if your looking for a movie to sleep through than this would be one. If not please dont even waste your time.

Summary: One of the best in the series. Deceptive title.
Review: With the series getting to familiar for it's own good, it was decided that Jason would leave the camp of Chrystal Lake for the most famous city in the world. New York, New York. To get there he has to board a cruise ship with a bunch of rich high school students on there way to New York for a school trip. Our anti-hero Jason kills almost everyone on board with some of the best deaths in the series, leaving very few survivors. The few who did survive make it to Manhattan on a raft and Jason tracks them down. With an interesting story and Jason at his most vile, part 8: Jason Takes Manhatton is one of the best slashers of all time. The storyline takes a wierd turn when they show Jason turn into a young boy upon his supposed death. While interesting, all it does is confuse the audience seeing that there really is no explanation as to why he does turn into a child. The scene where Jason flips his mask to show his rotting face to a bunch of punks is classic. Followed by the worst in the series, Jason Goes to Hell.
