Rating: Summary: the scariest one out of them all! Review: when i saw friday the 13th 1-5,i thought jason was not scary at all.this one changed my mind right after i saw it.this one was kinda scary!
Rating: Summary: This one is GREAT! Review: The 6th in the series,in my opinion is next to the best( 4 being the best). This movie is a 90 min thrill ride with a little bit of humor through in for good measure. They even opened the film with a James Bond opening which I found very amusing. The gore is there and so is the strong language but this has no nudity at all so all you perverts out there might not like this movie much, but for those who watch horror movies for more than just the nudity WILL enjoy this film. P.S This movie totally ignores anything that happened in part 5 so expect to see the old Jason back and killing again. Rated R for graphic violence and strong language
Rating: Summary: You can't keep a good hockey-masked killer down! Review: For me, it seems as if something was missing in the series, after Part 4. Its not completely intangible. I believe the scorebecame less interesting. I don't know about less gripping, its still a really cool score. And Alice Cooper's songs rock! Another tangible-- there is absolutely no nudity here. Some close moments. But none. And its important to have nudity in a Friday the 13th flick. Is this a slasher film that reaches political correctness before the Scream series, because of its lack of nudity? No. I don't believe so. Because, there is some strong gore here, and hell, tons of gore was cut out of the film. This is of course grand entertainment and Jason looks really cool! And the James Bond-like credits sequence was also extremely cool and creative. This is a very creative installment. Non-hardcore fans will probally like that fact about it. And hardcore fans themselves don't mind. For anything negative, I still give it 5 stars, because we just barely get to see slasher films like this anymore. I can't wait for Jason X!
Rating: Summary: Great! JASON LIVES! Review: One of the best movies in this sequel. C.J. Graham is doing a good job playing Jason, although I prefer Kane Hodder. The only thing I miss is more gore. I thought it was too "neat", and it didn`t scare me too much either. But the effects is much better than anyone else. ...So then it is true. Jason Lives!
Rating: Summary: undoubtably the best in the series Review: Warning- some spoilers ahead. This,in my opinion,is the best of the sequels, and the best in the series.Writer/director Tom McLoughlin does an excellent job as the director and his direction is terrific. The acting and script as usual is great and the scare factor is VERY high(I was so frightened the first time I saw this, and oftentimes I still am when I see it,I just don"t know why!)I try my best not to be scared, but half the time it"s no use! That"s just how scary this film is.It"s just as creepy as the original Halloween, which frightened hundreds of people across the nation when it was released.Besides being really frightening,it also has some great humor, such as when Sheriff Garris says to Tommy "I will repaint this office with your brains!"I laughed for god knows how long at that one! And The soundtrack ROCKS.The music by Harry Manfredini as usual is excellent and the rock song heard in the ending credits as is rockin" good. The special FX are AWESOME(heart ripped out from human body, broken glass through the neck,RV flipping over,etc.)C.J. Graham is excellent at playing Jason and is right up there with Kane Hodder.Jason"s costume rocks too,and the film is just wonderful. My only gripes are that Jason"s mask doesn"t come off like in most of the films and it could"ve been longer and gorier, but overall, the film is extremely well-done and is brilliant.Hardcore horror fans should defiinitely check this one out.Get ready to laugh, scream and have lots of creepy fun! Rated R-contains gory violence and a lot of profanity.
Rating: Summary: The best in the series, without a doubt. Review: Spoilers ahead.Read carefully! This is not only the best F13th sequel,it"s the best in the series. It"s really scary ( It"s the scariest one yet.The scene where he ripped out that kid"s heart made me barf up all my lunch, and the scene where he hacked up that counselor with the machette was as scary as they come.) The acting and script is great too and writer/director Tom McLoughlin delivers excellent direction.C.J. Graham"s performance as Jason is terrific and is almost as good as Kane Hodder(Jason in parts 7-9.) The special FX are very good as well(the scene where the RV flips over was incredible.)Jason also looks really cool with that bullet-riddled shirt and commando belt. The worker gloves he wore looked very nice too.I only have three complaints.1,it could"ve been a LOT gorier(I"ve heard that the uncut version was much bloodier, but the MPAA would"nt allow it.I hope they rot in hell for this.)2,you can"t see Jason"s face (well, you can at the beginning, but not very well because of the rain and dark lighting.)And 3,it"s WAY too short (only 1 hour and 35 minutes? That"s not even two hours!)Still, this is an excellent and extremely well-done slasher film that very sadly doesn"t get as much credit as it deserves. Also,be sure to check out Friday The 13th-The Final Chapter. It"s the second best in the series.Rated R-contains gory violence and strong profanity.
Rating: Summary: The best ( and scariest) "Friday" of them all! Review: WARNING! -SPOILERS AHEAD! This is without a doubt one of the coolest teen slasher films i have EVER seen! The acting, humor, scare factor and a ton of other things make this film simply incredible! C.J. Graham ( who plays Jason) is REALLY good almost as good as Kane Hodder, who was Jason in parts 7-9.The direction is also very good, and the scare factor, WOW! This is one of the few films that actually frightened me( sure, it"s more funny than scary, but still, I don"t know why it scared me so much.)Jason"s costume looks VERY VERY cool as well ( he looks AWESOME with that bullet riddled shirt and commando belt, and those gloves he wore look real nice too.The special FX are also very impressive ( I was stunned at the scene where the RV flips over and him standing on top of it.)I only have two complaints about the film-1, Jason"s mask doesn"t come off like in previous films( you can see it at the beginning, but not very well because of the rain and dark lighting),and 2, the film is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too short ( it doesn"t even last two hours!).I was also a bit sad at the fact that it could have been much gorier, but that doesn"t ruin the fun.Overall,an EXTREMELY well done movie. Rated R- contains gory violence and strong language.
Rating: Summary: because he's back... Review: after suffering a horrible installment (part 5) jason comes back and is almost at his best here. this film is indeed one of the best in the series with the exceptions of parts 8 and either 4 or 7. this film would've done much better if part 5 had never happened. jason makes a shocking return from the grave to go invade camp forest green and it seems that the only one who can stop him is tommy who almost dies in the process of returning jason to the watery grave....would've earned 5 stars if the film hadn't been edited so terribly. hopefully and unrated unedited version will come out sometime.
Rating: Summary: THE VERY BEST FRIDAY THE 13TH Review: How could you POSSIBLY hate his movie? It's great! There was never such a Jason film. This Friday the 13th has great tongue-in-cheek humor, great acting, a great story, great scenery (Georgia was a great choice), great death scenes, a great climax, beautiful girls, you name it. It's just a shame that the great gore scenes were cut out. Hopefully, an uncut version of this great slasher film will be released someday. Jason Lives! He's here to stay and slay!
Rating: Summary: Worn out slasher flick Review: After the success of the first four Friday the 13th horror flicks we thought it was all over. After all the fourth instalment was called Friday the 13th Part 4:The Final Chapter. But the writers and producers were provoked by the public to produce another sequel. At the time in the late eighties Jason Voorhees was a household accessory. Everyone knew of the hockey masked stalker and everyone was obsessed and shocked by his brutality in the movies produced. (Well some were!) After a horrific fifth instalment written by the famous director Wes Craven it was vital to "have another go" and to take the creases out of the worn out saga. The story continues as Tommy Jarvis, now grown up is unconvinced that Jason Voorhees is dead. So, with a friend he returns to the grave to burn his corpse once and for all. But unfortunately for Tommy he accidentally resurrects the mass murderer when a lightning bolt hits the psychotic. Jason is back with a vengeance. The plot at this stage is at it's lowest. Jason is indeed invincible...but the idea of a lightning bolt bringing him back to life? At the time this film was well received by the horror fans of the eighties, buying the weak plotline. But today, Friday the 13th Part 6 is merely nothing but a piece of worn out scrap material waiting to be dumped. On a lighter note, the film does have it's moments... a few jumps, a few scares, but then again what's new? I rest my case...
