Rating: Summary: Friday the 13th Part VI jason lives Review: this movie was the best of the friday series higth body counts lots of blood and scary. it has all the elements of a great horror movie. i though that this film captured the essicence of jason. this movie showed that jason was truely immortal and the it takes a lot more than a blade to kill him. the movie also had some humor like the people playing paint ball in the woods. also the way the brought jason back was great a bolt of lighting reanimating the dead killers corpse. the other thing that i liked about the movie is that you see more of jason. in comparison to the other movies such as part VIII what were they thinking, com on when you cut a persons throught there is suppodse to be blood coming out.i did not like the fact that it took place on a ship then in new york because it just takes the fun out of people getting lost in the woods or chased trew the woods by jason. i give part VIII 2 thumbs down and part VI 2thumbs up. know as for the other 7 i think they are all equally good in there own way and i hope that jason X is a good as the other if not even better, and am looking foward to it's release to the theaters in 2002. let the blood keep spilling and the body count rising, long live jason

Rating: Summary: Jason Lives, And He's Pissed Review: This is the last Frisay the 13th movie I like. After this, the movies get boring and more boring. I really liked the scares in this one. They were unsuspecting like 'Halloween'. The scene that is the best, is when he drops from above, and kills his victims.Eventhough, it is not as good as the first or second. It is better than the third and fifth. The director was really good at bringing back the good stuff. Out of all these films, I'd say my favourites are Part 1, 2, 3, 4, and VI. The rest go bad. Like apples rotting. The best time to see this is, if you haven't seen this at all. Now that I've recently seen this. It's not scary. But still, it's good.
Rating: Summary: 2nd best film in the series Review: a great film having Tommy accidently resurrect Jason who portrays a more zombie nature. the only bad thing about this is tommy is the everyday hero instead of being the over the edge type from pt. 5. CJ Graham is great as Jason. Don't miss this film
Rating: Summary: The start of Zombie-Jason! Review: The main character, Tommy Jarvis, heads for the graveyard with a friend to make sure that serial murderer, Jason Voorhees, is and forever will be resting in peace; unfortunately, mother nature spoils their plans and the nightmare begins again! Unlike most of the movies in the series, this film features no sex or nudity. Paramount went into a new direction with the franchise; this is where we see Jason as a zombie for the first time! With acting that is below average and some cheesy dialogue, this is a film to watch if you want to have fun and have time to pass.
Rating: Summary: FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 6: Jason Lives! Review: FRIDAY THE 13TH: JASON LIVES is without a doubt one the best in the whole series. This time a young man named Tommy Jarvis is out to destroy Jason, so he goes to Jason's grave, opens the coffin and plunges a stake into Jason's body to be sure that he is dead for good. But suddenly it starts to storm and lightining strikes the stake in Jason's body and suddenly Jason is brought back to life. Now the usual body count begins, only there is more humor and inside horror movie jokes added to the fun. The soundtrack contains some awesome songs from shock-rocker Alice Cooper!
Rating: Summary: you can't kill evil and thats why JASON LIVES Review: friday the 13th part 6 jason lives was one of the better movies in the friday the 13th series along with parts 1,2,4,7,8. they brought back tommy jarvis AGAIN. i mean, come on now, dont you think this is startin to get a little old. you can look at this two ways.1) tommy is the ultimate horror movie hero in defeating jason voorhees twice in parts 4 and 6 and roy in part 5. 2) or you can say now there is NO way he is goin to beat the killer THREE TIMES. give ol' jason a little more respect then THAT. this movie was fun, funny, and an awesome horror movie till the very end and had an awesome sound track but i think jason should have killed tommy at the end. perfect movie though, and i liked the fact that this was the ONLY one in the whole series that actually has CAMPERS. i mean the others all have councelsors but no campers. great film. and i love the attitude of the cops in this movie. and i think there would be less crime in the usa if there were more cops like that. anyway in this movie jason refuses to harm any campers. maybe its cuz he knows how it is to have your life taken so young. this is the film that got me thinkin.maybe jason isnt such a bad guy after all. maybe hes only killin off the people so they cant reopen the camp so no other camper would ever suffer the same fate that HE did. think about it. kinda makes sense to me...how bout you?
Rating: Summary: Most stylish, entertaining in the series Review: I've always held Tom McLoughlin's "Jason Lives" in the highest regard with respect to the franchise of self-parodying "Friday the 13th" flicks. Recently, with the release of "Freddy vs. Jason", and revival of the awesome B-movies, I was compelled to revisit all the earlier chapters in the "Friday" series. What I stumbled across when watching "Jason Lives" is something of a miracle in the likable trash of the "Friday" films: It works. This is not only a great "Friday the 13th" film, but just a flat-out good film. It's probably the only "Friday" film in the [.......] franchise that not only succeeds on the level of intended comedy (there's a key word in there somewhere), but also functions as a thriller. This is owed to the talents of its writer and director, Tom McLoughlin. His installment in Jason's never-ending bloodbaths has more energy and fun with what it does than any other "Friday" film. The film begins with the same character that has carried us through the previous two films: Tommy Jarvis. The young boy who slaughtered Jason with his own machete at the end of the fourth "Friday" film, went to a mental institution for trauma in the fifth one, and now that he's out, looks to destroy Jason for good by burning his corpse. But, in order to do that, he must dig him up. Of course, everything goes wrong, and in a very neat special effects shot accompanied by some good chasing pyrotechnics, everyone's favorite "Welcome Back Kotter" character ends up with a scorching case of heartburn. Jason lives, and he's even more powerful. The film rockets past the opening credits sequences that pays a very nice homage to the James Bond opening titles and never stops moving. McLoughlin moves his camera very well. He always is tipping his hat to other horror films at one time or another, and he has a sure hand at comedy: The intended laugh to unintended laugh ratio is vastly in McLoughlin's favor. Now, I'm not going to explain any more of the plot because, hey, ever since the first film graced screens in 1980, there is no need for explanation. Jason kills, plain and simple. If you get naked, you get dead. If you smoke pot or drink, you die. And, oh yeah, fiberglass hockey masks are indestructible (unless you happen to be telekinetic). Now, to list exactly what makes this "Friday" film special as opposed to its predecessors and future incarnations. As I said, it works as a thriller. The opening scene in the cemetery has genuine anticipation when the second lightning bolt opens Jason's eyes. The close up on an eye socket crawling with maggots as it narrows in anger was a very nice touch, and it makes the scene pay off. As the film goes along, it introduces the traditional characters, but it gives us a few that we really do learn to like and care about. Instead of the usual clueless authority figures "Freddy vs. Jason" had such a great time poking fun at, we are given a real three-dimensional sheriff who only cares about keeping the peace and the well-being of his daughter, a rambunctious blonde with a knack for seeking out trouble. So when Tommy Jarvis hauls buns straight to the sheriff's office after accidentally resurrecting Jason and the sheriff knows who he is, we understand why he would toss Tommy in the brig, even if we know he's wrong. There are other believable moments involving little kids reacting to the sight of Jason and some nice little bits of dialogue between the camp counselors, but most especially with the sheriff. All this works really well, and it's all due to Tom McLoughlin knowing what he was making and doing his best with it. He goes above and beyond the call of "Friday" duty; he delivers a truly good film with some great visual gags and, gasp, drama. In example: There's a terrific moment toward the end of the film when the sheriff comes face to face with Jason in the woods of Crystal Lake, or, I'm sorry, Forest Green. McLoughlin cuts to a wide shot with the sheriff, stunned by the sight of Jason, standing on the right side of the screen. Jason stands perfectly still on the left. I watched this and thought, "Wow, a moment of reflection in a 'Friday the 13th' movie." Now, if that's not a surprise, I don't know what is.
Rating: Summary: Not the best...but still very good Review: This was a pretty godd flick. I am so glad that it had Tommy Jarvus in it. The fact that nobody beleived Tommy when he said that Jason was alive again really pissed me of. Over all it was a great movie.
Rating: Summary: jason: a comical and gruesome genious Review: i never thought i would laugh during a jason movie but friday the 13th part 6 proved me wrong. man was this movie funny, and it had the most deaths ever seen in a jason movie. there were at least twenty-something deaths. some include: an old man getting stabbed with a broken bottle, a paintballer getting his arm ripped off and he is thrown face-first into a tree( leaving a smiley face where his head hit), and my favorite- the cop getting broken in half backwards. i chuckle whenever i think about it. the lack of nudity made me give this one a 4 instead of a five, but it is still probobly my second favorite after part 4. horror buffs like me will definetly get a large kick out of this movie. it barely goes 10 minutes without someone dying, and many times theres 2 or 3 deaths at a time. also, half the people who die we never even meet their character. it just shows them in the woods going about their business and jason mutilates them. its so great. go buy this now!
