Summary: Nightmare of All Nightmares
Review: Halloween 2 keeps right up with the original. In the opening scene, we relive the closing moments of the first Halloween. The sequel continues on the same night of October 31, 1978. We see the same characters from the first movie plus a few new ones. It is a great movie, not as good as the original, but what is? Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis are still a great team as they attempt to defeat Michael Myers. We finally learn exactly why Michael Myers is trying to kill Laurie Strode. The nightmare isn't over!

Summary: Okay Sequel, Strange Company
Review: Okay, after you read this go to the box cover image and click on it to enlarge it. You will see that they mispelled Jamie Lee Curtis! They spelled it JAIME!!! Goodtimes Video is the distributor, and boy are they good at typos. I wish they would release a restored version of this movie -- digitally mastered like they did to the first movie several times. It's not as good as the original, but what sequel is? It has it's moments. Check out Jamie Lee's bad wig, and how she has maybe 5 lines in the whole movie! The hospital is creepy though, and the music alone will send chills down your spine.

Review: Halloween 2 in my opinion is one of the best sequels ever. I also like Michael's mask better than the original. The score to the film is still as terrifying as the first one or even better.Those who haven't seen it must. Especially for the creative killings and shocking ending.

Review: "What's the bogeyman?"--Jamie Lee Curtis. What is the bogeyman? All of us, as kids, heard the stories of the bogeyman around the campfire out in the woods. I know I did. "Halloween II" expands on those fears of the bogeyman as they came about in the first "Halloween." "Halloween II" is not nearly the classic that John Carpenter's masterpiece was, but it as a movie--and as a sequel--it is still unavoidably stylish, scary, and downright good. Jamie Lee Curtis reprises the role that made her a star as the film recaps the last three minutes of the first film, and then takes on an entirely new adventure seen through the great camera work of Dean Cundey. We are taken through the ritualistic jack-o-lantern illuminated credit display with the familiar "Halloween Theme" blaring synthetically in the background. By the way, the music in this is not nearly as effective as the music on the first film. As the story progresses, we are taken to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where the drugged carcass of Laurie Strode lies in waiting on her hospital bed. As Michael Myers wanders aimlessly around the hospital, we are kept company by the paramedic with the heart of gold, Jimmy, as his salty-dog partner, Bud. Bud--played with great comic timing by Leo Rossi--provides the film's biggest laugh, as well as serving up his girlfriend on a silver platter for Michael to cook like a fish. Then, we are taken back to the final showdown between Laurie, the good Dr. Loomis, and the Shape. Shots are fired, people die, and of course, Laurie screams her shrill, high-pitched scream that can shatter windows. This film could have been just another sequel, true, but it wasn't. It was a necessity. "Halloween II" continued the story of "Halloween" very well, and it entertained me too.

Summary: Wonderfully creepy.
Review: Michael Myers, still alive, makes his way to the hospital where Laurie Strode was taken, Dr Loomis still in pursuit.This film has an excellent title sequence, very symbolic, showing a jack-o-lantern opening up to reveal a human skull within, signifying the darker side of halloween which exists beyond trick-or-treating and dressing in humorous costums. The film itself as a whole isn't quite as effective as its predecessor as it sometimes becomes slow and occasionally resorts to suspence-deflating humour. But it is still very scary and sinister and Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasance and Tony Moran are just as good in their roles as before. Quite gory in places, but still worlds ahead of most of the mindless Friday the 13th films.

Summary: Halloween II is great!
Review: When I first heard of the Halloween series it was when Halloween H20 came out. I had never seen the original, but I did see Halloween 3 (which sucks out loud) but I never knew it was related to the whole series (in a sense that it only bears the name Halloween). I saw one preview for H20 and I had to see it. I saw H20 the 2nd week of August I loved it. Halloween came around and I bought the first 3 sequels (a big mistake since they were Goodtimes and Video Treasure copies, but I have heard that the widescreen version of this movie is a big improvement from their usual transfers). I loved the first movie, since then I've gotten all of the sequels and the limited edtion plus the tv cut of Halloween II, the producer's cut of part 6 and the rough cut of H20--many people say the producer's cut of Halloween 6 is terrible because it's usually overdubbed--my copies are actually in color, so I was lucky enough to find someone who had color copies. One major problem with Halloween II was the fact that Curtis cut her hair shorter (if you watch Terror Train you will see how it looked in 81) that was one BIG mistake they could have made a better wig! her hair was darkish brown with blonde streaks and lighter tones of brown. It was her choice to cut it, but come on that's one cheap wig they could have tried a little harder than that. The wig looks Red not Brown like in the original. I like the whole movie though, remember how Laurie couldn't even talk to a guy in Halloween? Jimmy takes a liking to her and she's not shy at all I like that whole scenario. I also enjoy the part where Jamie Lee does her screaming I love when she murmurs "help..." then "HELP ME!!!" and runs for the hospital door and reprises her dialogue from the original...that to me is the best part. All in all it's a great sequel one of the best considering other cheesy sequels like (the Nightmare On Elm Street series) which I do not like it's just stupid. I'd have to recommend you watch Halloween 4, 5 and H20, you will not be disappointed with any of . Halloween rocks!--JAMIE LEE CURTIS IS AWESOME :)

Summary: Follows The Original Nicely
Review: Out of all the first sequels to a horror movie this is one of the better ones. This movie picks up directly from the first. the movie makes sense. Compared to the first halloween, this movie was a bit to gory. One of the reason's why was due to the competittion with Friday the 13th movies in the early 80's. Halloween 2 was still scary and since most of the movie took place in a hospital it made the movie very spooky. The movie had an exiting ending. Unfortunately This Halloween movie besides the original and H20 are the ones worth to watch as far as the series is concerned. This movie is something decent for non-horror fans. Diehard halloween fans will love it, however not as much as the original and this being a little better than H20.

Review: This edition states HiFi Sound and Surround Sound were used in the video production. Originally, yes, the film was recorded using the Dolby Stereo soundtrack, but in this Goodtimes home video there isn't even HiFi sound. The track used is mono and the sound is horrible. Goodtimes is not a quality company and I have not seen one video release of theirs that contains anything, but horrible video quality and horrible sound quality.

Review: PERFECT! PERFECT! PERFECT! Donald Pleasence's performance andthe lines he is performing are much better than in the firstone. Jamie Lee Curtis also played verry good. One of the best Horror sequel ever made in the Cinema History. DON'T MISS IT. ITS PERFECT.***** OUT ***** !!!!!!
