Rating: Summary: A bit of nostalgia Review: For those of you who grew up in Central Texas before this movie was made, you should remember the location in which it was filmed. It was filmed in Prairie Dell Lake at a place that was once called the Mattahorn. (sp?) When I was young, it was an upscale restaraunt, shops and amusement park. Inside the mountain looking structure, there was the restaruant and shops. Inside the dining area was a swimming pool with a waterfall in which divers every 15 or 30 minutes would dive off of for your viewing pleasure. It was a real treat for a kid. And of course, what else would go with an evening of fine dining and shopping? An amusement park of course... LOL Outside the mountain was a small amusement park with all kinds of rides for the kids and adults. I just loved being able to eat then throw it up shortly afterwards on a tilt a whirl. ha ha ha. Anyways, that is where the family lives in the movie, in this old mountain structure. It had been sitting there right on I35 between Waco and Austin for some time empty, after having been closed for many years, and was just falling apart. So, let's make a movie there and blow it up. (which is what they did) So, it was really neat being able to drive down the highway and see all the filming going on. Then to go see the movie and see what had been a part of my childhood become a part of a cult movie and live on forever even though it was now gone. Sometimes I just watch it to see that place and relive fond memories. Aside from that, the movie is great. Great bloody fun. Fun to laugh at, fun to scream at and fun to get sick at. I know this didn't help you with this movie at all, I just wanted to bring this point up for those of you out there who may have fogotten about this gem which was once such a fun place and was then turned in to a nightmare factory.... LOL And for those of you who had no idea what that place was or why it existed, you now know. I have read many things about people wandering why it was in the movie. Well, it already existed and it was going to be torn down anyway, so imagine the money they saved on that location... It will live on forever in our dreams and nightmares now thanks to one of the greatest horror movie franchises ever. Thank you leatherface.

Rating: Summary: FUNNY AND SCARY!!! Review: i loved this movie when i saw it! "stretch" (caroline williams) the dj is being chased around by the sawyer family-- all except the sexually frustrated leather face, who falls in love with her. he tries to keep her a secret, but eventually the rest of the family finds out about her and put her in a giant cooking pot for dinner and leave it to old grampa to take a hammer and beat her to death. she only gets hit a few times, so shes still alive. then, unexpectedly, leatherface TOUNGES HER! while she makes her escape, chop top chases her up into a tower and tries to kill her with a pocket knife. chop top almost falls off of a cliff, and stretch leaves him dangling from an old steele pole while she runs into the small tower full of human skelatons. then, sitting in a chair is the grandma from the first TCM. she is supposevly dead. stretch sees a chainsaw and tries to start it. chop top comes and starts attacking her while shes trying to get the chain saw running. when she does, chop top gets off of her. stretch starts sliceing his stomach open. he falls off the cliff and falls down a sewage pipe. she screams and starts "dancing" with the chainsaw above her head, thinking that its over.BUT, while shes dancing right before the end, if you look closely you see a white thing be hind her start to get up. you can hardly see it, so try to pause it.
Rating: Summary: Really great horror movie! (no spoilers) Review: This movie is really good. The setting was pretty weird, but it was something new. The acting was okay, but you never really take time to notice because of all the action. As director Tobe Hooper says in the commentary on both of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre dvds,"this original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film has around 2 ounces of blood." but thats not the case on this crazy sequel. This movie has at least 20 pounds of blood (and guts.) If you are expecting anything like the original in this movie, you will be shocked to see just how different this movie is. I am going to tell you the plot right now, so if you don't want to know the plot, please read no further. Plot: A radio d.j. witnesses a murder so she goes to a detective type man who doesn't want her help but later needs her help and she is brought to the sawyer familys underground hideout. Thats when the terror begins. In this movie, the Sawyer family is made up of Leatherface, chop-top who is crazy as a pit bull being poked with a burning stick, Grandpa from the first movie, and Drayton Sawyer who is the older man from the first movie who is always upset with the hitch-hiker. There are many more things I want to say about this movie but i'm ready to get in bed.
Rating: Summary: lives up to original and than some Review: wow. i'm a horror fan. i loved this movie because of chop top. chop top rules.
Rating: Summary: THE BUZZ IS BACK! Review: I am suprised in how good this sequel was! Now it wasn't good enough to live up to the original classic but it had some good stuff! For Example I loved the girl who is constantly chased by leatherface! Dennis Hopper starred in it! This was just a good sequel and I hope you want to watch it!
Rating: Summary: By far the BEST in the Chainsaw series! Review: This movie has to be the best in the whole "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series. It lets you see a whole different side of Leatherface (played to perfection by Bill Johnson). You're also introduced to a new character, the Sawyer's other brother, Chop Top (played by the hilarious Bill Moseley). If you're looking for a good horror movie with a little bit of gore and a whole lot of humor then this is the movie you want to see! It stays with the storyline of the "Chainsaw" film and most importantly, it sticks with the original family. So be sure when you rent the original to pick up a copy of this one as well!
Rating: Summary: THIS MOVIE BITES Review: I hate this movie so much it wasn't the least bit scary and to top it all off there was a horny leatherface a wacky hippie cannibal who has a metal plate in his head and grandpa who is kinda funny in the end but other wise this movie sucks. And the gore is pitiful such as in the beginning a guy has the top of his head cut off and when he bled it was short little squirts like an on and off fountain. And not to mention there is like a zombie dude at the end with his face cut off and still living and he also has his stomach skin cut off. This is the worst movie i have ever seen. Here are the best T.C.M. movies. The original The remake of the original Leatherface: Texas chainsaw massacre 3 The next generation :texas chainsaw massacre TCM :2
Rating: Summary: pure 80's drive in gold Review: eighties humor horror is a particular genre, and you like it or you don't. In my worthless opinion this is up there with return of the living dead, evil dead 2, re-animator, and fright night. Oh it's not better than it's predocessor, but then again no horror film really is. Unless your'e one of those rosemary-exorcist people, then this just isn't your ball park. But wether you get it or not, there's a reason why alot of people love this flick and consider it the only quality chainsaw sequel.
