Summary: A strool through the woods
Review: Ok, imagin if you took "Deliverence" and shot it up with steroids; you would come out with "Wrong Turn" It is about four friends and a doctor who literally run into each other in the West Virginia mountains. From there they are being chased through the mountains by retarded, inbreed, near mutants with a taste for human flesh. The group, led by Desmond Harrington and Eliza Dushku, are your typical 'kids lost in the woods' types played by nobodys (except one is played by super cool Jeremy Sisto), but it is amazing how much you start to care about them once they start dying off. And lets talk about the gore and make-up. It is spear headed by effects great Stan Winston (he made the model for "The Terminator" and "Predator"), so there is a degree of quality to the make-up. The family of psychos look at the same time outragously gross but realistic. I have a great amount of respect for the movie becuase it was very suspenceful and it never let up, very true to it's roots of '70s exploitation films. The DVD has commentery by the director (Rob Schmit), Harrington and Dushku. It is actually interesting to listen to, I learned a lot. The extra features were also pretty cool; a look at Winston and his effects, and some on location documenteies. All in all, if you liked 1970s horror movies like "Deliverence" and "Last House on the Left" then you should really like "Wrong Turn".

Review: Wrong Turn is a great "drive-in" horror flick! I was scrolling reading reviews and I saw people complaining of bad acting, direction etc. C'mon it's a scary movie! This one has a lot of scares, blood, it kinda weakens towards the end but then you get the "Hope we make enough$$$"to make a sequel scare! I hope they do.. A lot of horror films were released when this one was:
House of a 1000 Corpses
28 Days Later
Cabin Fever
Cabin Fever was a letdown.... too much hype.BORING
28 Days Later way better zombie flick than the remake of Dawn Of the Dead/stick to the original
House of a 1000 Corpses wickedly funny and scary, God bless Rob Zombie.... I hear he's making a sequel!
skip the Grudge/check out it's Japanese original Ju-On really creepy and yes it is subtitled/dubbed films suck so you gotta read a little......Poor scared Baby!

Summary: Really bad acting, but I enjoyed the film
Review: Eliza Dushku and Emmanuelle Chriqui are two of the hip, up and coming young actors that star in this film. The entire cast is basically made up of younger actors who are getting their start in the business. I found the movie suspenseful, yet predictable at the same time. Towards the end of the movie, Eliza Dushku's character became very annoying it seemed to me. She seemed to go from being the really strong girl who had the situation relatively under control, to being the damsel in distress girl who needed to be rescued by the man. I would recommend this film to horror-lovers, but that's about it, because this movie gets pretty violent/bloody/disgusting at some points.
