Review: this movie very interesting ...the fact that the killer is death itself instead of a human or monster .....acting is scream style very over the top ....the fact that its a uknown force makes it interesting because i can see no end to the possible ways to die ....wheres final destination 2 more!

Summary: pretty good horror flick
Review: This was a pretty good horror flick. It wasn't as good as Scream or Scream 2 but has some pretty good gore. The plot is good. It was a bit confusing but you get it after a while. The end leaves the viewer with suspense, waiting for a sequel. I suggest renting it and seeing how you like it, and then buying it. You should rent this movie if you like horror flicks. Devon Sawa and Ali Larter are also great actors who leave the viewer wanting more. Rent this movie.

Summary: Okay.
Review: Final destination is about a group of teenager destined for Paris. Before the plane takes off one of them dreams that the plane will explode. Scarred, he scares five or six other people badly enough to get off just before the plane explodes. From there each of the survivors are stalked by something, death perhaps?My problem with the film is twofold. First, the film spends alot of time on a side plot focusing in on the F.B.I. I guess the F.B.I. originally was put there to confuse the audience. Is death really stalking these people, or is it a young wild evil boy? Since the movie never really put this in doubt, the scenes with the F.B.I. don't add anything to the film. Second, two of the survivors hate the hero. Why? Because he scarred them, I guess. This really goes back to the F.B.I. sub-plot. If they thought that he might have blown the plane up, then their fear of him, or hatred, would make more sense. Since they don't seem to believe that, their attitudes are very confusing and unclear. The timing also doesn't make any sense. The town has 39 days before the killing begins. Again, why? Why not 2 days or 100? Usually these films try to give some explanation for its events. This film gives almost none. Still, strangely, I liked the DVD more then my review indicates. I think I liked the concept. I was disappointed in how it ultimately played out, but I like new and different thinking. In addition, the DVD itself has a couple of fun extras. Under games, you can test yourself and see if you are psyhic. You can also learn when you are going to die. The DVD also has 4 scene that were cut out of the film. Instead of making us watch a "director cut", you can just watch the extra scenes at the end. I liked that alot. (By the way, I think it was better that they left these scense out.) Overall I would give the movie a 2, may 2.5 stars. Since the features were fun, I have given the DVD a higher rating then I would give the film.

Summary: How did we get to this point?
Review: In a world of great technological improvements, this movie is proof that the horror/suspense movie genre is actually DEVOLVING. How did we get from Hitchcock to Final Destination? Poorly scripted, poorly acted -- the list goes on and on. The opening plane sequence is well-staged, but from there this movie spirals out of control, piling implausibility upon implausibility. One of the worst movies I've ever seen, in any genre -- this movie is a waste of 90 minutes of your life.

Summary: Fun and a bit scary
Review: This movie has an interesting story and a few cool scary sequences. It is true that the actors are not all that good and that some twists in the scenario are... well... not so good either. Anyways, if you are looking for some thrills and don't mind about goofy stories, this one is for you. I recommend watching it with the sound cranked up a bit. The atmospheres in this flick are sometimes pretty damn creepy! Better than Scream? No way, but better than the rest of the slasher films, that's for sure. As a bonus, you have Sean W. Scott (Stiffler from American Pie) playing a goofy New Yorker sports fan. I like this guy!

Summary: From the kitchen of Morrissey and Rube Goldberg
Review: Mix equal parts of Milton Bradley's Mousetrap, kerosene, and teenage angst. Stir. Light. This light snack doesn't have the satisfying satirical flavor of the Scream Trilogy, but it is a passable tongue-in-cheek thriller. The glued-on, disjoint ending, however, leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

Summary: Creative Ways Of Carking It...
Review: The back cover of this video proclaimed the movie as being a lot different to all of 'those teen slasher films' that you're so very sick of. I guess you could say it was, but that is not to say that it was a fine piece of cinematic art! You would think it was a blessing to receive a premonition of your death, and subsequently avoid that fate, also saving several of your classmates. But no. Death has been cheated and he is not happy about the situation. So the Grim Reaper goes about claiming these 'lucky' teenagers in its own creatively gross ways, proving that it is more than just a force to be reckoned with. A couple of the death scenes are laughable for how ridiculous they are. This movie doesn't know whether it wants to be supernatural in a realistic way (such as The Sixth Sense) or just a bit far-fetched and crazy. This is its downfall. This may sound a little far-fetched itself, but I found the movie a little depressing. I mean, these people just knew they were going to die, and that the form of their demise wouldn't be pretty. Thus, the characters spent their whole time fearing death, concerning themselves over who was 'next'. I don't like to think or worry about death, so this, to me, was the one disturbing aspect of the movie. But hey, the guy who plays Stifler in 'American Pie' was a pleasant surprise to see. I didn't know he was going to be in it!! It is a good movie to watch for a bit of fun - it will make you jump, yet at the same time... I am still sick to death of teeny slasher films! (Modern ones anyway)

Summary: Sad, Sad, Excuse for a movie
Review: Why Why why? I dont understand how this movie get such good reviews...Just like the Scream Movies, etc. The Teen slasher era has to end, these movies are boring and just a waste of money that coulda been used towards a better movie. The story is far from original, a guy who sees whos gonna be taken by death next. Please, i think Micheal J. Fox's performance in the frightners was good enough. The acting blows, the actors, blow, this movie blows....however, everyone's entitled to like whatever they want...Any movie is a good movie. it just depends on its audience...thank you verdy much..

Review: When Alex (Devon Sawa -Idle Hands, Stan in Eminem's video) has a premonition of death he panics as he aborts the plane with some classmates. It spooks them to see his preminission come true. It's up to Alex to find life's design so he can try to cheat death again... I liked the movie, it had some hot death scenes.

Summary: Life, Death...and John Denver
Review: Alex's day is not going well - on the eve of boarding a flight to Paris on a school field trip, he started getting premonitions of disaster. He heard John Denver playing on the radio, and had a vision of the plane's fiery end. And then, after being kicked off the flight, he watches the plane explode, killing everyone on board. Now he finds himself and the other six who came off the plane with him stalked by death itself. It doesn't sound too credible, but writers Glen Morgan and James Wong use the experience they gained on 'The X-Files' and 'Space: Above And Beyond' to create genuine suspense, tormenting the audience with possible scenarios for a character's death - you find yourself shouting at the characters to turn the gas off on their cooker, or not to unplug the stereo whilst standing in a pool of water. Morgan and Wong also make good use of the black humour that features so heavily in films like 'Scream' - it's impossible not to grin when a character hears a John Denver song shortly before dying, or says "You mean I'm not gonna get to see the Jets win the Superbowl?" on finding out about their own impending doom. It's scary, but great fun too. Some people have expressed their dis-satisfaction at the ending, but I found it both clever and amusing. Overall, this film makes for great viewing, despite its relatively short length. If nothing else, you'll shiver next time you hear a John Denver song.
