Summary: Not bad for a sequel
Review: So this is definately not the best scream film. Obviously Scream 1 is the bets of the three. This one is actually a pretty damn good sequel until you get to the end. The ending pretty much ruins the movie as far as I'm concerned ... but i guess it wont be fair to say a movie [stinks] if all but 10 minutes of it is pretty good.Its definately better than a lot of the Scream clone movies that have come out since Scream first showed up.

Review: Ok I still believe that the original Scream is the best. I feel that this sequel could have done better, but I just think that it got too slow for a while, and the bad thing about it being a sequel is that it's pretty easy to guess the killer. I don't hate this one but it's good to watch sometimes, especially if you have nothing to do with your time and want to sit on the couch.

Summary: A Great FollowUp
Review: Although Scream 2 doesn't surpass its predecessor, it's definitely an original suspense ride with a new bit of freshness added to it. Sidney Prescott is now in college as a theatre major, with a new group of friends and great new boyfriend. Her life, although still scarred by what happened back in Woodsboro, is seemingly becoming peaceful. But all that ends when Stab, the movie based on her Woodsboro horror, is released. The murders begin again, and Sidney's friends become targets. Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, and Jamie Kennedy return with a fresh new cast to run from the face they all fear. Scream 2 is undoubtedly -- and like I stated before -- not as good as the original, but the scares and laughs are just as high. The opening scene is one to make anybody uncomfortable in a movie theatre. Kudos to Wes Craven for many brilliantly crafted scenes in Scream 2. I especially love the "Cassandra" theatre scene. It was definitely a heart racer. Another nail biter was the cop car scene. Timothy Olyphant, Elise O'Neil, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Liev Schrieber, Laurie Metcalf, and many more make up the supporting cast, and all are great. Especially Laurie Metcalf. That lady took her role and upped the notch with it. Great performance! The Scream 2 DVD release is a bit lacking in the supplements department. I suggest purchasing the Scream Trilogy Box Set to get the true special edition of the disc. It's complete with an interesting commentary, hilarious outtakes (Listening to Elise O'Neil {Hallie} screaming different ways was hilarious), interesting deleted scenes (Although the scene with Sarah Michelle Gellar out in the courtyard is still nowhere to be found), behind-the-scenes featurettes, music videos, trailers, and more. It's extras galore on that disc! Scream 2 is a great follow up to Scream. If only Randy (Jamie Kennedy) and Mickey (Timothy Olyphant) could have fought about their own movie within the movie, Scream 2 will be one of the best movie sequels.

Summary: I Think I Love You...
Review: I am a huge fan of the first film and since I have so much to say, I'll split this into the pros and cons of Scream 2. CON: Unlike the first film, which perfectly paralleled satire of horror films with being an actual horror film (the scene where Randy tells the TV characters to look behind them when he should be following his own advice is an example of this...and pure cinematic gold!), this installment focuses more on satire (the Stab film and superficial sororrity sisters) then on plot and thrills. CON: Sidney has less screen time. PRO: Although Liev Schriber is technically in all 3 films, his biggest role is in this one. PRO: In order to have both a high suspect list and body count, the film has a lot of characters. However, unlike Scream 3, which doesn't know what to do with its characters and kills them all in succession, Scream 2 keeps good interplay and the result is a good ensemble performance. PRO: I also think this installment has the best cast list of the trilogy: Jerry O'Connell, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Omar Epps, Timothy Olyphant, and YES, even Ally McBeal's Portia de Rossi!!! So what else can I say about Scream 2? It's not as good as 1 but not as bad as 3. I would reccomend it to fans of 1 and I probably wouldn't reccomend 3 to anyone. It's not a classic, but as Cotton says, it's a hell of movie.

Summary: Not too bad...
Review: I saw Scream when it came out, but waited to see this one, not because it looked bad, just never got the chance. After finally seeing it, I was pretty impressed. Of course everyone knows the general idea that sequels are never as good as the original, and, well, maybe that is the case here as well, but the second doesn't dissapoint either. I will keep this short and to the point, but everyone who has seen the first Scream knows the basic plot, and it is continued here, however if you have not seen the first, do see it, because without it you will be pretty lost. I enjoyed this film because it was cleverly written, in that it makes references to other areas of the "real world" and other movies, and they are fun to pick up on. However, it loses a star from me because of the ending. Not who the killer or killers were but, just the way the last scene was played out. The running around on stage (without giving away who the killers were) just wasn't beleivable to me. And the bricks falling on top of them? Come on, it just looked fakey and turned me off a little bit, from what should be just about the most important scene of the movie, the ending, so for this, it loses a star fro me. However, it is still a pretty well done film and will keep you guessing who the killer is, like the first, so for that it is entertaining and worth seeing! Hope you enjoy!

Review: I think this is a good movie. It is a funny satire of all those horror movie in the 80's and 90's. It's funny and scary. No one under 16 should watch this. It is bloody and has some language. Buy the DVD.

Summary: The weakest of the series, but not bad overall.
Review: Neve Campbell is once again stalked by the Ghostface killer, this time on a college campus. Sequel to the highly popular original has some mildly clever moments and is fairly engaging with a few suspenseful moments. But Kevin Williamson's script is a little often too inane (Particularly in the finale) and Craven's attempts at jump-in-your-seat shocks are far, far too obvious. Mostly middling fare.

Review: .. but after all, it's a sequel. I think that the problems with most sequels is that they have too much to live up to - they're tied down by too many pre - existing characters and events. In this case, there was another problem which was mentioned in the commentary - the fact that the script was leaked so often made the crew change it around so much it seems shaky at times, and the ending a little hard to believe... But it still wasn't bad enough to take off more than one start
