Summary: Good but a bit irrational
Review: Okay, Michael is back to murder his neice. Fine with me. But there's one problem here: scenes in this movie are sometimes stupid and/or irrational. Don't get me wrong, I like this movie, it's a decent sequel, but there are just some parts...well, for example, the climax: Michael is shot by several people with powerful guns. Sheriff Meeker himself shoots Michael what, nine times or so? Okay, no problem, but look at the gun he fires: it's huge, and it's bullets are strong enough to blow a hole the size of two softballs in you. Michael doesn't have this problem. But he is also shot with several other guns. Why isn't blown into shreds? Or at least why aren't pieces of him blown away? He remains whole and intact at the conclusion. Other than that, some parts in this movie seem just like mindless slaughter. But the movie is over-all good. You can tell that the screenwriters and director Dwight H. Little was trying to bring back a little bit of the creepy atmosphere from the originals. He tried, and it worked, but some things just don't work here.

Summary: A little better than part 5
Review: This was the first halloween i saw in the theater.Watching all the films and owning all of them makes this entry a little dull now.It doesn't compare with the first 2 an h2o.

Summary: Horror sequel that doesn't make you regret renting it
Review: Here we are at the fourth installment of one of the best horror series ever made and does the steam run out of the engine.....well, almost, but not quite. Visually this will be a treat for horror fans, particularly Halloween fans. The story, at least, doesn't make you cringe. I'm not in reference to carnage and gore, although there's plenty of that. I mean that at least there aren't any staple horror victims like the half-naked blond sorority chick who it is never in doubt will bite it by the end credits. It keeps it's diginity. It's certainly not as good as the original, or the second, but it stands it's ground. It knows it's a sequel and it exists there comfortably. So if you're a cult film fanatic, slasher junkie, or are just in need of a movie to have on in the background at a party, then Halloween IV is for you.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: Not as good as one and two, and it took a while to get scary, but it was still a very good movie. I was impressed.

Summary: Just A Decent Sequel
Review: This halloween sequel is the second sequel to John Carpenter's 1978 classic. The movie itself had a good begining and ending. The plot was ok too. However this movie was not worth waiting seven years after Halloween 2 in 1981. The movie had its moments and refers to laurie strode by showing her pictures. This movie does not live up to the first two. The difference is that instead of chasing laurie strode, Michael Myers chases her Lauries daughter, Jamie. Ofcourse he kills anyone in is way. With Dr.Loomis returning it made this movie more interesting. Also Ellie Cornells acting was alittle shaky, nothing compared to Jamie Lee Curtis. This movie is great for die-hard halloween fans. For non-horror fans i'm not to sure but its worth the try.

Summary: Entertaining sequel.
Review: Unlike most sequels Halloween 4 lives up to John Carpenters original. It is so much like Halloween that it and the original are the best in the Halloween movies.Period.

Summary: Good movie plenty of scares.
Review: It was a good movie. Michael Myers regains conscienceness andescapes. Good start. It was inventive.(The power failure.) It wasscary how the cop thought his partner was sitting there but when the lightning flashed, you saw his dead partner hanging on the wall. Rated R for violence, terror, and some sexuality.

Summary: Sam Loomis is getting old.
Review: They say that good horror was dying by the late 80's. I'd say by then it WAS dead. You can tell in this movie that it's not the same actor playing Michael Myers,It took them 7 years to bring back Michael, It has a really bad ending and Loomis does virtually nothing in this movie. He kicked a$$ in the first one and that(the proof that old men can kick a$$)is what made me like the 1st one. Still, there is a lot of suspense built up over time and that alone is what scared me.

Summary: Halloween 4. Good sequel gets good DVD
Review: Just picked up this DVD (from Amazon, of course) and boy is it great! It's almost like watching a completely different movie. The colors are great, the image is super clear, and the 5.1 channel sound is also good. It's about time this movie got the DVD treatment. It's just too bad there weren't a lot of fun things on the disc. This movie is considered, by some, to be the best sequel, (I disagree, part II is still the best after the original) and it does deliver the goods. Featuring John Carpenter's creepy Halloween theme, and great music, this movie is sure to scare you. The DVD is a must for any horror fans!

Summary: Scary, Intelligent, Inventive and Good all over.
Review: Im at a loss for words. This movie is great. (Especially for a Fourth movie) This movie has Michael Myers out for the blood of his neice and friends and with Dr. Loomis on his trail. But the thing that got me was the spectacular acting from young starlett Danielle Harris. This movie is cleverly scary and imaginative and lacks the unnecessary violence the 2nd movie had. Great Film. Buy it.
