Summary: FREDDY VRS JASON.......an idea since 1985...
Review: Huge fan of both films, grew up with the two.Unfortunatly all of us have gone on and grown up. The new generation of kids heading to this flick will find anything good.

I was very disapointed but expected it. The acting made me want to scream...it was so horrible. Freddy is ruthless, Jason slaughters all in sight...and of coarse the ending is loosely left for a sequel. So much for the great battle. Craven should of done this. If you like mindless gore, go see it. But even if you are a huge fan and grew up witht hese deadly guys, the battle is something we've been waiting for. So check it out, for laughs and to rekindle some old memories of when we WERE scared!

Summary: BEST FILM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I saw this movie yesterday with my uncle, cousin, cousin's wife, and their five year old daughter and we all loved it. This movie is definitely a must see. This film has nudity, violence, and a lot of gore. Not the most I've ever seen, but for a Hollywood film it's quite a bit. The acting is top notch, and the deaths are so cool, you have to see 'em to believe 'em. Also Kelly Rowland was very hot in this film and I hope to see her in future films. I'd give it 100 stars, but they don't have that many. GO AND SEE IT OR DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Freddy Vs. Jason
Review: All right, now this movie might just be awesome. Sure, like many of the Nightmare and Friday movies it had it's very dumb and cheezy parts, but if anyone can say they wouldn't enjoy watching Jason hack his way through a corn field with blood spurting everywhere is insane. It was awesome, more blood than all the others combined. Other than Jason and Freddy, the acting was weak if not non-existant, but that really wasn't why I went to see it. All I wanted was a body count of above 20 and the biggest showdown of all time. I got what I wanted and the ending, although a bit weak, was pretty good. Both villains were just as I expected, I was a little [ ] that Kane Hodder (Jason 7, 8, 9 & 10) didn't play Jason but I got over it. Robert Englund did a great job of course playing the usual, if not a little bit darker, Freddy. Some of the fighting scenes were a little Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but nothing extreme, I thought they were well done. When your taking on Jason you need some Jui-Jitsu and Kung-Fu at times. Overall I give this movie 5 stars for fans of the movies. Not a fan, wait till video and rent it.

Summary: Yeah...It was Good.....
Review: I saw Jason X.......why?

I never saw a Nightmare on Elm Street movie. I never saw ANOTHER Jason movie. But I saw Freddy vs Jason, only because I was interested in finding out who won, and how. When I went, I was expecting to see a scary, interesting movie. After being freaked out by a Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, I was ready for the worst. The first time I was truly scared was during a scene in the boiler room where Freddy has one of the main characters cornered, in her dream. The last time I was truly scared was during a scene in the boiler room where Freddy has one of the main characters cornered, in her dream. I was disturbed by a few of the ways that the characters were murdered, but wasn't enough to get me jumping in my seat.

I did like the idea. The plot. I only wish the screenwriters and the director tried to take advantage of the good ideas in the movie and made it better. Freddy, looking to kill a man, gets an idea hatched in his evil head. The town where Elm Street is(Freddy's victiums) has locked away survivors that have come in contact with Freddy in the past. They also give them dream retarding drugs, as to destroy any memory that they may have of Freddy, so that he cannot come back to preform movre evil deeds. Freddy's idea is to bring back killer Jason. Jason could kill people on Elm Street, thus making the people around there believe that Freddy has returned to killing. They would bring back the memories that they have tried to forget, allowing him to actually return. In bloodbath sequences, Jason kills a small group of people, and everything after that happens exactly to Freddy's plans. People are dead and he is now strong enough to return.

Meanwhile, Lori, Kia, and Gibb are stuck with the memories of Jason killing thier friends. That is untill Lori has a nightmare, where she sees a man named Freddy, the name of the person that the police said as a potentioal killer. Things become more strange when he old boyfriend Will and his friend Mark, return from the psychiatric ward(she doesn't know where he's been) to find out what was going on.

When Freddy corners one of them in a dream, up in the real world Jason comes and kills Freddy's future victium. Instead of Freddy killing the person, Jason does. Freddy misses killing and gets angry at Jason. He demands for Jason to return back to the dark shadow world, but Jason says no, leading the two well-known killers, into a battle that goes from the dream world, straight to where Jason was first made...Camp Crystal Lake.

But throughout the film I was constantly asking myself, what is with all of this useless stuff, like profanity, the drugs, the sexually situations. Why could we not have a plain horror movies without all the add-ons. A scary movie, like The Ring, with the slasher film quality like scenes in the summer blockbuster 28 Days Later...(another film I had a problem with)

Did I hate Freddy vs Jason? The answer to that is no. I enjoyed it very much. After struggling through the first thirty minutes or so, my money was finally paid off with the last hour. When Freddy finally takes command. If the movie had a little more detailed plotline, and some more non bloody action taking place instead of all of the teen partying scenes, etc, this would have robally gained fourth star. It wouldn't have gained a fifth star because it wasn't excellant. It wouldn't even be great with all the things I mentioned above. My next stop though is to watch the orignal Freddy and Jason films. They have to be better...

To watch this movie was not torture. I have no idea what the critics were talking about, saying that it was a terrible dry film. It was good....I liked it. In the word of the 60's generation...mellow out, man.

ENJOY!

Rated R for pervasive strong horror violence/gore, gruesome images, sexuality, drug use and language.

Summary: Just saw the movie and LOVED IT!
Review: I was shocked and blown away by how good this movie was. The director Ronny Yu is a genius! He does an amazing job in turning this movie into exactly what a fan of the genre would want. This movie pulls out all the stops and it is incredibly entertaining. The action was exciting and original. Of course there is some corny parts but that is all part of the fun. This movie never takes itself to seriously and just has fun with the whole subject matter. This movie actually brings respectability and new life to these franchises that were all but dead. Long live Jason Voorhies! I am a huge Jason fan, and after the poor Jason X this movie made me very happy

Summary: Horror, finally reinvented
Review: Somone wrote a review on this web site about Wes Craven's New Nightmare and how it was ahead of it's time and revolutionaized horror. Upon hearing that review I thought about all the horror revolutions. First we had the first horror movies...self explanatory. Then we had Psycho which created the slasher! Halloween (1979) and Friday the 13th (1980) created the stalker menace. Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) created a new type of villain for audiences to scream at. Like the reviewer said, New Nightmare and Scream changed the face of the genre by giving it a new humor and face. Freddy vs. Jason is the beginning of a new generation of horror. In the old days there were horror icons fighting against each other and its about time that it returned and why not with the villains of extreme difference but same intentions. Freddy is afraid of fire, is short, carries knives, and talks...sometimes too much. Jason is afraid of water, is tall, carries machetes, and is silent...sometimes way too silent. In fact he is so silent he scares me to death sometimes. However, Freddy has always interested me the most and I think is cooler so when I saw this film I was cheering for him. I won't say the ending but my feelings were mixed. This movie is impressive, well-shot, not necessarily too cheesy and full of camp, and provides an hour and a half of intense scares and entertainment. I laughed, I cried (from laughter), went "woah" and shouted "Freddy, Freddy, Freddy!" A film hasn't made me evoke so much emotion in a long time so Freddy vs. Jason is a definite must for horror fans or anyone who wants to be entertained in anyway!

Summary: Lets get ready to rumble!!!
Review: Most of the time I don't review slasher/horror films. I don't really like most horror films, but I had to see this one and had to review it. First, there are the stupid teens that you always find in all slasher flicks, who while figuring out what happens before the adults, still die one by one because they are too busy screaming, falling over tree roots and getting stoned to RUN.
But the fact is I went to see Freddy and Jason fight. I also went to see HOW the movie gets them together. That was kind of interesting if you dismiss many of the past 'Nightmare' and 'Friday' flicks. Freddy has been forgotten, so he wakes up Jason to go [destroy] kids at Elm street. The cops think it must be Freddy, the name slips out, the teens find out about him and *BINGO* Freddy is back.
One problem - Jason keeps killing people. In fact, if Freddy doesn't figure out HOW to stop Jason there won't be anybody left to remember him.
Second problem - Jason is hard to stop.
Having seen both of these characters in action (and frankly being slightly pro-Jason) I found the fight scenes to be pure fun. I laughed. I enjoyed myself.
Where else is Freddy going to find a victim who won't stay down? Where else is Jason going to find a victim who WON'T run away? Where else are you going to find both characters reacting to their own fears?...

Summary: Freddy vs Jason a WINNER!
Review: First of all, when you go see a movie like FvJ you have to judge these films for what they are, slasher films. This film is a fun special effect roller coaster where you can sit back and escape from life for 2 hours and enjoy a good horror flick! The producers were very careful to please both fans of the franchise. I will not go into great details in what happens in the movie for those of you that have not seen it. The plot line is simple and an interesting twist. Freddy Krueger can no longer get into the dreams of his victims and Nancy Thompson's house on Elm Street is no longer deserted and run down but occuiped and restored and looks like it did in the beginning of the NOES series. Springwood residents and authorities have gone to great lengths to remove the memory of Freddy and do not mentioned his name (Remember the Springwood Residents in Freddy's Dead) The few teens that remember Freddy are tucked away in an aslyum where REM sleep is supressed and we see the fictitious drug again, HYPORCIL (This is the drug Nancy Thompson used to supressed her dreams in NOES 3) Freddy then taps into the dreams of Jason Vorhees and makes him go to Elm Street to start killing so Springwood residents will think Freddy's back giving him the power to return in people's dreams. What did Freddy say in the movie, Jason will do all the killing and Freddy will get all the glory? Anyway, you get the idea of the film. There is a lot of cool special dream scenes to please any Freddy fan. You have the jump roping kids singing the Freddy song (1,2 Freddy's Coming for You etc) and we even see Nancy's house in the nightmares too all dark and spooky, Freddy's trademark which for one am glad they kept. For the Jason fans, you had you good looking virgins and do see more nudity then you would in any Nightmare film but this is a Jason film tradition. The producers brought in a lot of contuniuty in both franchises which I think is important and we both get a glimpse of orgins of the both evils. There is one scene where Freddy tourments Jason with water in a dream and we see Jason reduced to a small deformed boy. (This is from Jason takes Manhattan) As you can see I am a fan of both films and I am very glad the producers made it. Thru out the film you hear the Charles Bernstein score from the Nightmare films and the Friday's chi chi chi score which also pleased me. My only complaint is I wish they decided to have Kane Hodder play Jason. I really don't know what that is all about, according to an article in Fangoria, Kane was (upset) he was not in the film but claims it had nothing to do with money. May-be he wanted the film to be called Jason vs Freddy and the producers didn't like that idea, who knows. I can't wait till this movie is out on DVD. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!
