Summary: Yes! X-Files on the Big Screen!!!
Review: The movie was great but then I'm a fan of the show. Chris Carter could have incorporated more of the mytharc into the movie but he chose not to, to keep the attention of the average moviegoer. But the deleted scene that was missing from the theatrical release is present on the DVD I'm happy to report, aand yes it does contain a significant detail about Mulder's Sister, so that was a nice addition to the DVD. All in all, an excellent movie

Summary: An ex-X-files fan, but I thought it was pretty good...
Review: First off: I have to say that I am an ex-X-Files fan, that is, I loved the TV show when it was still unknown and each episode was like a mini-horror movie. When it started to focus exclusively on the conspiracy theory, frankly I lost interest and haven't watched it since. A friend of mine who IS a BIG fan of the show saw it in the theater and warned me that I might not like it. But I watched it a few weeks ago, and I thought it was pretty good. It was very intelligent and complicated - not your average shoot-em-up, gross-em-out sci fi flick. I think that the people who made the movie wanted to do it so that even those who don't watch the show could appreciate it. I for one thought they succeeded. The problem is that everyone compares it to the show, but if you just take it for what it is, it's a pretty good movie.

As for the complaints that the DVD came with not enough "extras" - I'm not sure where that comes from. Granted, we rented the disk, but we watched about 20 minutes of commentary, behind-the-scenes footage, etc., before we watched the movie. There seemed to be quite a lot of that stuff. Maybe you got an incomplete set??

Summary: hmmmm X-Files MOVIE???
Review: well I rented this movie all seemed to be great. the only major problem was that I think it lacked in plot. It seems to be all the other stuff the show covers combined into one movie without the "To be continued....."'s so if you want to buy this movie do but I suggest you rent it first or even better, see Star Wars!!!!

Summary: I think they're losing it...
Review: I've been an X-Files fan since series 1: I was praising this series long before it became so very (and deservedly) popular. But I have to be honest - the movie was a disappointment. More of the same old stuff but on a bigger scale. Like so many science fiction movies it seemed to lose its sense of priorities: special effects first, script and a convincing, original story second: which is odd for the X-Files. I get the feeling that they're running out of ideas and running out of drive. I hope I'm wrong! Still, alot better than some of the attrocious junk I've seen recently, like Lost in Space.

Summary: I love this movie!!!
Review: First off, non X-Files fans whom seem to hate the show for no obvious reason do me a favor by reviewing another movie. This movie rocks and you suck! You are just jealous you didn't come up with the idea boi! lol

To be honest with you, this is not my favorite movie of all time, but it comes pretty damn close!

This is easily in my top 10 along with Antz, The Rock, Face/Off, Mission Impossible, The Silence of the Lambs, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Titanic, Star Trek: First Contact, and Dances With Wolves. Pretty good bunch of movies I think! That is a great accomplishment to make a television show into a movie which can be compared to such high class films.

I was just thinking about it, and Men In Black may replace one of my top 10... Well, I feel that all X-Files fans will enjoy this movie (if they are true fans).

What is wrong with me??? The Star Wars movies are also easily some of my favorites... So many that I like... Well, this movie rocks, and being an X-Files fan I obviously have it on both VHS and DVD. I think everything should at least see it (non X-Files fans should watch it with someone whom is familiar with the show so they understand little details).

Well, I have spoken enough... The DVD rocks, and I have no problems with it. I view it on my notebook computer and will have a DVD player this Christmas probably.

Plan on me writing more reviews (which will be better than this lame one). hehehe

Summary: The most supensful and mysterious movies of 1998.
Review: I feel the x- files was the greatest sci-fi movies of all time. And One of the best movies of 1998, with the great suspense and the intriging mystery which makes you not want to get out of your seat.

Review: This movie is a classic that deserves "big screen" treatment. The DVD is wayyyy better than the LD.

Summary: great movie bad dvd, also wont run on my system
Review: Same problem that another spoke of, runs into trouble with chapter 2 and ends at the start of chapter 7. Amazon was great on sending me a replacement, and after finding it was the dvd itself offered to take it back for a full refund. Can't complain there, but fox really messed up on a great film to release such a poor dvd...
