Rating: Summary: Why I Never Went To Summer Camps!!!! Review: This is the best sequel to the original Friday. In my opinion the first Friday was not as good as the second because Jason was not in the first, if ya'll remember the fatal phone quiz from scream the killer in the first film was actually Jason's mother until she got beheaded at the first films end. I would never go to a summer camp of any kind after seeing these movies. It is a great series, but I strongly feel that they should have just made the Friday movies into a thrilogy and stopped after the third film. All of the films form the forth one on was not the same storylines as the original three, the rest of the films storylines go in all kinds of different directions. So if you want to watch how Friday is supposed to be only watch the first 3!!!! oh and also beware all summer camps, you never know what crazy people are lurking in the nearby woods!! Che Che Che Che Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Friday The 13th Part 2 Review: Friday The 13th Part 2 is a decent follow-up to the original film from 1980. Here, you are introduced to Jason, the fabled "dead" son of Pamela Voorhees from the original. F13 Part 2 continues with Alice, the survivor from the first F13 film at home, who suffers nightmares of all the dead counselors and her battle to stay alive against Pamela. She discovers the head of Mrs. Voorhees in her fridge, and is stabbed in the head with an ice pick by Jason. The film flashes forward to present day, with all the new counselors gathering for training - you are introduced to the new team - Sandra, Jeff, Ginny, Paul, Scott, Ted, Vicky, Mark, Terri and the others. Crazy Ralph returns to warn this group of campers, but finally meets his own doom with a piece of barbed wire. The earlier part of the movie focuses mostly on watching the campers from Jasons view, and the misadventures of Sandra and Jeff wandering to the "forbidden" camp property. On the last night of training, Ginny, Paul, Ted and a group of no-name campers go bar hopping for their last night of freedom before the camper kids arrive and the others stay at camp. One by one, Jason stalks and kills the remaining counselors in a variety of creative ways (probably the most shocking was the infamous spear-impalement scene when Sandra and Jeff are having sex in their room). Back at the bar, Ginny begins to wonder about the legend of Jason, so she and Paul return to camp only to discover nothing except empty cabins and a bloody bed where Sandra and Jeff were. They finally meet Jason and a fight ensues between the killer and Paul. An intense chase sequence featuring Ginny is here, until she stumbles upon an abandoned cabin in the woods. She blocks herself in a room when she sees Jason approaching, only to discover the head of Mrs. Voorhees on a table, surrounded by candles and the skeletal remains of Alice, a girl who I believe is Terri and a police officer he killed earlier in the film. With nothing to lose, Ginny slips on the tattered sweater of Mrs. Voorhees and tricks Jason into believing she is his mother - that is, until she steps aside and he notices the head is still on the table. Paul arrives just in time and another fight ensues, until Ginny grabs a machete and buries it in Jasons shoulder. Jason falls over, presumably dead, and Paul and Ginny return to a cabin, only to be stalked by Jason once more (where they also discover another survivor, Muffin, the little dog that belonged to Terri). The movie ends with Ginny being wheeled off in an ambulance, calling out for Paul, who is nowhere to be seen. Fans have always asked over the years what happened to him - apparently the actor left the set during filming, so his fate was left open. Friday The 13th Part 2 introduces Jason before his trademark hockey mask became a symbol of the series, and in this film, he only wore a burlap sack with an eye-hole cut out - kinda creepy! This is also one of the better films in the series, and Ginny is one of the best heroines to ever grace a Friday The 13th film. Even though the film transfer is decent on this dvd, it's unfortunate the extras section is bones bare. Supposedly this film has a few cut scenes (such as a full view of the impalement with Sandra and Jeff), and hopefully Paramount recovers this lost footage for the fans while they are working on special editions/boxed set of the Friday The 13th films they own for a later date in 2004. Definitely a recommended film in this series!
Rating: Summary: Poor Jason... Review: Remember that Simpsons episode where Homer is committed to the insane asylum? He's walking around being introduced to everyone until he finally comes across the Chief from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Homer says, "Hi," and the Chief answers back. Astonished, the staff flocks around the Chief. He says, "Well, it's about time somebody said something to me." I think Jason suffers this same ailment. This poor, lonely guy roams around these selfish teenagers' cabins (located on HIS territory), harmlessly looking in their windows as they party and have sex. Whenever he finally musters up the courage to introduce himself and make friends, these teenagers scream in his face and run away. I totally understand why Jason gets so knife-happy with these snobs. I'd be mad, too.Unfortunately for Jason, his burlap sack tactic didn't work in this film, so he went for a less-scary approach with a hockey mask in Part 3 in the hopes that the teenagers will allow him to engage in their sports activities. Sadly, this didn't work either.
Rating: Summary: just copying the halloween series Review: this is the worst follow up to an origanal ive seen just basically repeating what mrs voorhees did in the origanal.friday 13th should stop copying halloweens-at least the halloween 2 did an impressive job and come to think of it so did all the sequels up to resurrection brill-this franchise shouldve died round about the time this movie was released
Rating: Summary: Awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Worst Movie Ever!!! These were certaintly a carbon copy of the terrific "HALLOWEEN" movies. Just not good.
Rating: Summary: Too Much Basic Stuff! Review: There's of course an interesting story in the backround in the film but there isn't so much excitement. There's a dead boy killing everybody because somebody caused his mother dead. Well, there's a couple of good moments in the movie where I was shocked but the story is too boring most of the time.
Rating: Summary: Good...but Jason was a major LOSER!!!! Review: I have to say, this movie was fairly good and classic "Friday" style, but Jason was not his cool, trademark self. In fact, he was a total moron! Here's why: 1.) First of all, he had a bag on his head (which made him look competely retarded) because this is before he got his classic hockey mask. 2.) Second of all, he looked like a hill-billie farmer with his overalls and pitchfork. C'mon...what a loser! 3.) Third of all, he was too freakin' short! Jason is supposed to be huge. And he runs after his victims instead of slowly stalking after them. 4.) And finally, we see very little of his weapon of choice...the machette! There were only a couple of scenes where he utilized it and you never saw him walking after his victims holding it. I don't mean to sound like I'm insulting this movie too much, because the killings are pretty good and all, but unfortunatly, Jason has not yet evolved into the Jason we all know and love. He is still immature as a killer and has not yet developed the kind of routine and style we see in the later movies in the "Friday" series. Overall, this movie works pretty well as a sequal, but like I said, Jason is a loser!
Rating: Summary: I thought this movie was cool but others... Review: I think this movie was awsome but if you can't stand the site of lots of blood and gore then this is not the movie for you to watch. Same thing goes for all the other Friday the 13th movies. It's rated R for Gore and bloody sequencs as well as sex, Cussing, and nudity.
Rating: Summary: A REALLY GOOD SEQUEL Review: THIS IS PRETTY GOOD FOR A SEQUEL. IT HAS EVERYTHING THE FIRST ONE HAD,BLOOD, VIOLENCE EVERYTHING. THIS IS A SERIES WORTH BUYIN EXCEPT FOR PART 5 WHICH WASNT EVEN JASON, AND JASON GOES TO HELL THE WORST ONE OF THEM ALL STAY AWAY FROM THOSE 2, BUT IF U R COLLECTIN THE SERIES I WOULD BUY THEM.
Rating: Summary: Not too bad. Review: There isn't too much special about "Friday the 13th Part 2", except that this is Jason's first movie, and he isn't wearing his hockey mask yet. Other than that, nothing. So why did I give it such a high rating? Out of nostagia, I guess. I remember staying up all night waiting to see the movie on TV, and then it came on, and I was spell bound. The years and having seen many more and better movies has made me aware of it's short comings, but I like it none the less. Except for Genny (more on her in a second), the charactors are even worst than the last batch, and the blood and gore is toned way down. Two things I liked. Genny is the bright spot in the film. She is smart, funny, and pretty darn cute. Also, she has sex, and survives. The other thing I liked was Jason's "house". I don't know, I just thought it was a neat detail. It show's Jason dose have compehension of the basics necessities.
