Summary: Should have been the first one made.
Review: If you watched this one expecting to see Micheal of course you were disappointed. I think the Micheal story was dragged on for at least 4 movies to long. Each movie should have had a different theme. This could still be done. Just name them "Halloween 2000." or whatever year they come out with them. I thought it was refreshing to see something besides Micheal Myers.

Summary: A New Approach
Review: Do not expect to see Michael Myers killing any family members in this one. John Carpenter decided to do a whole new story with Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. In this movie, we meet a new villain by the name of Connell Cochran who runs a factory which makes Halloween masks called Silver Shamrock. The movie begins with a man being stalked by two other "men" while carrying a Halloween mask. The man passes out at a nearby hospital and is eventually murdered by one of his stalkers. His daughter hears about the news and teams up with one of the doctors from the hospital who also knows that something very wrong is happening. Their search leads them to the Silver Shamrock factory which is located in the small village of Santa Mira. Along the way a few unlucky characters cross paths with Cochran and his army. One thing that I really enjoyed about this movie was the surprise ending. If you are a true Halloween fan, than you will eventually see this movie as it really is. An attempt at taking Halloween in a new direction. Twenty years later, how many of you wish that this worked?

Summary: Halloween3 is good despite its difference
Review: Part 3 has some of the most scariest music in the series. Despite the story change this is very enjoyable to watch. The ending cleary tells you their will be a sequel. There hasn't been one yet. I am still waiting. Worth the look. Rent it. Watch with a open mind.

Summary: Review of Halloween3, not 1,2,4,5,6 ad nauseum.
Review: Actually Halloween 3 is a better than average horror movie. It's plot was fairly new for its time and the quality of the film was better than other horror movies of the time. The main upset seems to be that people expected another generic slasher flick and are angry that they didn't get the same regurgitated crap as Halloween 2.

I give it 3 stars. It is certainly better than the Halloween 4,5,6,H20 formulaic remakes. Haven't we had enough stupid slasher movies?

Summary: not bad for a one time viewing
Review: I rented this movie realizing it was nothing like the other Halloween movies. with this in mind, and taking it as a non sequel (despite the title) it was not that bad. It was not a film I was rushing to see again mind you, but the story was interesting, but the explanations disappointingly vague. To give you a general idea, it involves a plot to murder children on Halloween based on certain accounts of ancient druidic ceremonies performed on Sam Hain. The interesting twist is the druid priest intends to use high technology (at the time of this film) to perpetrate his actions. I won't say much more, if you like horror movies and can tolerate a bit of gore, this is not bad. If you want to see Michael Myers, you'll need 1-2, 4-7.

Summary: Much better than I imagined...
Review: I am a huge fan of the HALLOWEEN movies (the parts with Michael Myers in, anyway), and so I bought HALLOWEEN 3 just to complete my collection. However, the movie was much better than I first imagined, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I must admit, it wasn't as good as HALLOWEEN, but still very enjoyable. Recommended.

Summary: This is no sequel.......
Review: Who decided to make Halloween 3?The worst movie ever?I mean this movie is not a real sequel. So if its not a sequel,WHY THE HELL WAS IT MADE?!?!I mean the filmmakers made a movie that makes no sence,AT ALL,And call it a sequel to Halloween and Halloween II.I think that John Carpenter should sue the makers of this terrible movie. The plot makes no sence. Why is some werido durid doing werid things with halloween masks? What the hells with bionic gore?In other words,WHY?If its not the worst movie ever made,it is, dont get me wrong-It lacks that good movie style.I mean halloween3 is just plain awful. Its no sequel.No.It has nothing to do with the first two movies-hell it even features the first one on TV!!It also dosent show what happens,I mean who are we supossed to know if Tom Atkins acullay stopped the signal. How?By all means avoid Halloween3 its just a peice of cinematic trash. Its not even cinematic at all,its just trash.Like I said,Halloween3 lacks cimematic stuff like acting, directing, editing, filming, and even plot. This film has no plot at all, just a bunch of jerkola charecters playing with pumpkin masks. The lab set in the movie is real corny. It is a poorly construced piece of trash.Halloween3 is the most terrible, awfull, corny, stupid film ever made.

Summary: Not bad
Review: All bad reviews aside, this "sequel" is not bad. Yeah, it has nothing to do with Michael, but so what? Personally, I feel the music is again chilling (look who composed it) and I admire the limited acting that Atkins has done in films. He has a great prescence that I feel is too underlooked. The mask scenes are pretty gross, but the music, some of the atmosphere (resembles THE FOG), and Atkins make this film one to have for any Carpenter, or Carpenter alumni, fan.
