Summary: I Needed To Change My Review!
Review: Maybe it's the fact the name of the Movie is Halloween III is my reason for first bashing this film and calling it an utter disappointment. Maybe it's the fact that I gave the movie a chance is why I'm changing my review.

I'll admit I love the Halloween series with Michael Myers, in fact I own them all but Halloween III is a refreshing change and a very interesting movie. Tom Atkins (Creepshow, Night of the Creeps) stars in this movie about a toymaker Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy) gone mad. Cochran's objective is to lure the children into a trap of buying Halloween masks from hell, to make them understand the "true meaning" of Halloween.

If you are a big fan of the character Michael Myers then you may not find this movie worth viewing. However, if you give the movie a chance and just forget about the name of the movie being "Halloween III" you just may find this movie to be a good one. It took me a few times of watching the movie to really appreciate what Carpenter was trying to do, but now that I have the more I watch, the more I enjoy.

Summary: Most original of the series
Review: Pay no heed to those with one track minds, who can not get over the fact that Mike Myers is not in this movie. This is the direction the Halloween series should have followed. While I love Halloween, the concept is tired. Man in mask chases girl. Girl injures man in mask. Man in mask plays dead. Repeat. Actually, repeat for 6 more movies. I am glad that this movie took the chance with a new concept. I really hate how companies drag out marketable characters through successively worse sequals. The story is far more creative, and has more at stake than a couple people in the same town. I feel this movie captures the spirit of the holiday more so than the Mike episodes. Highly underrated.

Summary: AN OKAY MOVIE, BUT IN NEED OF SOME WORK
Review: ... It doesn't have Michael Myers, but I really didn't care, although it would have been better if they didn't include the Halloween title. It is not really scary, but some moments make you go like, "Whoa!" or a sarcastic way of "okay." This movie had a really good plot development and gave the true meaning of Halloween, according to Celtic legends, also mentioned in Halloween 2 and 6. It had an awesome ending, but the movie had a really annoying theme song:
Have a happy halloween, halloween, halloween, have a happy halloween, silver shamrock! It is the tune to London Bridge is Falling Down. The music scores are okay, but has a very dark mood, which I'm not saying is bad, but makes the movie way more depressing. This movie is a good way to waste 2 hours, and good for a backround movie at a halloween party, but can get really boring at sometimes.

Review: THIS IS THE TYPE OF MOVIE YOU WATCH, FORGIVE AND FORGET, AND IF SOMEBODY BRINGS IT UP U SAY, IT WAS OK, IT WAS! I KNOW IT'S FROM THE BIG H SERIES BUT IT ISN'T ALL THAT AND POTATO CHIPS. IT WAS INTERESTING, ..., NO CHASING, BUT A FUN MYSTERY AND AN AMAZING BEGGINNING, THE BEGINNING IS WHAT MADE ME KINDA LIKE IT, ANYWAY, ITS PRETTY GOOD, AND IF YOU WANNA SEE IT, WHY NOT, I GIVE THIS ONE A C, 3 STARS...I WOULD GIVE IT 3.5 BUT YOU CAN ONLY GIVE WHOLE NUMBERS.

Summary: The most underrated movie ever made
Review: I mean it when I say this movie is underrated. Most of you babies out there whine that it doesn't have Michael Myers in it, wahh. Shaddup you dregs. That was the original idea of EVERY Halloween movie. The first would be about Michael Myers, the second and on would be different stories. But to the success of the first Halloween, they wanted to cash in some green so they brought him back for a last time (ha!). Then this came. This is great. An Irish warlock who owns a giant company in California is grabbing the attention of America's children, especially with a line of masks (lame ones might I say) and a special giveaway on Halloween night...that will be a spastic pumpkin that will crush their heads into oblivion. All the children in america will die! Moohahahahaha! And it's up to Tom Atkins and Stacey Nelkins to stop this Irish goon's plan to overthrow America...Happy Halloween...

Summary: No Michael, but still classy
Review: Halloween III is not a solid horror film. Definitely not a sequel in respects of a follow-up to the Myers storyline. But still the classical John Carpenter feel is here and many moments of typical horror fare are administered to livin' things up a bit. Not to mention a wonderful score!

Summary: OUTSTANDING HORROR MOVIE- AN ORIGINAL
Review: This has got to be one of the greatest and underrated horror
movies I have ever seen. They don't make movies like this anymore and they are hard to find. This movie has all the esseintial key components for a great horror movie--

1. Mood.
2. Plot.
3. Atmosphere.

This movie is only for the true horror fan and this movie is well acted to a T' by Tom Atkins. GREAT MOVIE FROM THE 80s.

Summary: Receives a bad rap for not being a Michael Meyers film
Review: John Carpenter and Deborah Hill made a big mistake when they titled this film "Halloween III: The Season of the Witch" bacuase people then expected it to be a sequel to the first two "Halloween" films. They should have released it with the title "season of the Witch" alone so fans would not have expected another Michael Meyers film. I'll admit, when I first saw this film I was disappointed because it wasn't like the first two films. But watching it again many years later I think this is one well-made horror movie and is certainly more entertaining and scary than many of the other more recent "Halloween" sequels (especially "Halloween H2O", which in my opinion was the worst "Halloween" sequel yet).

If you are a fan of early 80's horror movies and like John Caprenter's style, then you will probably like this film. Although not directed by John Carpenter, it definitely has the feel of a John Carpenter movie - very atmospheric with a great music score. The story is very original (even if it is a little far-fetched), and there are some truly horrifying scenes. The acting is decent, the plot has some good twists, and the ending leaves you wondering what happened next.

I really think if this film is watched with the thought in mind that this isn't actually a "Halloween"/Michael Meyers sequel, it stands alone as a better than average horror movie. The pace is slow at times during the middle of the movie, but overall I felt it was a pretty good film. It is certainly more original and scary than most of the [films] that [have] been released as "horror movies" over the past 15 years or so. Just go into this one judging it as an individual horror movie, separate from the other "halloween" films.

Summary: This is the most terrible movie ever!
Review: How else can I put this? This is one of the worst horror movies ever made. I love the Halloween series and I have every Halloween movie on DVD including this one only because I didn't want a blank spot in my collection (was a gift). It took me about 4 months of it sitting on my DVD rack before I finally watched it one night. Big mistake! I can't believe that some people rated this with 5 stars. Oh my! If they rated part 3 that high, any of the other parts should be rated off the scale.
