Summary: The best sequel I've ever seen.
Review: The Bates Motel is back in buisness! A great movie that should be watched by all PSYCHO fans. Usually sequels arent worth watching, but I recomend this one for sure.I love Perkins, I cant beleive he's dead. But he will always be the screens most beloved psycotic, and always my favorite actor.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great sequal!
Review: Well made follow up to the 1960 smash hit finds Norman Bates comming home and re-opening Bates Hotel. But im only giving it 4 stars becuas it comes to a silly conclusion. Also, it manages to go without the typical 80's gore until the end.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Movie
Review: Anthony Perkins does agreat job as Norman Bates. It has great ending. It one of the best sequels I have seen.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Gory, but suspensful!
Review: Richard Franklin has done a good job on this movie.Actually worthy sequal to the original hit. And it's actually suspensful! Could do out with the blood and the otherwise silly conclusion, though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Suspenseful
Review: Though they say sequels are never as good as the original, this film makes them eat their words. This sequel is a whole different film in itself. First off, the story continues, and it doesn't do the same things that Norman did in the first one. Secondly, the film is well-acted and directed, in a humorous and eerie way. And lastly, the mystery is indeed a mystery, because you really have no idea who is doing what. The film never has a dull moment, and the ending is a surprise. View it!

Summary: PSYCHO 2 is an improvement over the original!
Review: PSYCHO 2 has more suspense, more blood, and more better acting then the original! Anthony Perkins returns to his role as Norman Bates, who has just been released from the institution. Once he goes back to his motel and the house on the hill, he starts hearing voices...and people start turning up dead! The surprise ending shocked me, and in PSYCHO 2 we learn a surprising secret about Norman's mother.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: great action, ok suspense and a great ending
Review: I thought PSYCHO 2 was a great movie. The acting by Anthany Perkins was great. PSYCHO 2 is double the kills and gore of PSYCHO.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not the original, but still great
Review: I'm still trying to figure out the detials of this one. Even if the rest of the movie wasn't as good as it is, the external conversation between Norman and "Mother" would make it all worthwile. And anything with Anthony Perkins automatically raises it a star.

Summary: CULT MOVIES 30
Review: 30. PSYCHO 2 (horror, 1983) Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) has finally been released after spending 22 years in a mental asylum for the (supposed) murder of his mother. Once back at the Bates Motel he takes in a young female lodger whom he's met whilst working at a local diner. With her help, and that of his psychiatrist (Robert Loggia), he's keen to redeem himself of his crimes. But once back at the old house he starts to hear his mother's chants once again.

Critique: This follow-up to Hitchcock's classic was quickly dismissed by critics (how can anyone improve on the original?). I believe this second installment (there would be a total of 4 sequels) has a superior screenplay (by future director Todd Holland), and cinematography that stands well to the first one. In fact, this is one of the few 'great' sequels to 'classic' firsts (another example was James Cameron's Aliens). The film keeps you guessing from frame one since Perkin's character seems to be back to his old tricks. The smart subtext and jaw-dropping ending makes the Bates character one of the few movie psychos to truly warrant some looking into.

QUOTE: Norman: "Mother? Is that you?"
