Summary: Oh My God!
Review: This was the absolute WORST horror movie I have EVER seen! I swear I laughed in the last half part of this movie because it was so freaking ridiculous. I also seriously expected the scenes to be cut and have some remark made that this was just a joke and that this was exactly a horror movie should not be made. Well, I'll never rent it again... unless I want a really good laugh. But hey, I have to give props to Leatherface for making me laugh when he applied lipstick and acted extremely feminine to the point of hilariousness.

Summary: Surprisingly not bad
Review: This installment happens to be the most realistic, scary and imaginary of the pack. This movie's so called disturbing points were funny more then scary. Renee Zelwegger and Mathew McCaugnahey star in this flick which makes it all the more watchable. Very entertaining and scary with some very good acting. I saw this movie for the first time on HBO, seeing this was only in select theatres (practically straight to video) it was pretty good. The DVD has a great cover art as well. The DVD is pretty week, only cast bios and scene selection, presented in fullscreen. But the movie is a low budget straight to cable sequel so i guess it is the best they could do. Not bad at all for a TCM sequel.Rated R/1997/95 MIN.

Review: This movie plays out like it's supposed to. It's a parody, and it serves it's purpose. It's twisted, and it's funny. And for those of you who don't know, Leatherface is based on Ed Gein, who was in fact a crossdresser.This is also written by the same person who wrote the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Summary: Worst Of The Worst
Review: This is a joke. A pathetic and juvenile piece of film so shockingly and relentingly bad, you almost assume that the whole film is a joke. A spoof. Well folks, it's not. That revelation is more terrifying than anything in this movie. None of the other TCM movies were good either, but this takes the cake as a piece of crud. While other film series have continued to make sequels that are usually fun and entertaining, the TCM series never did. It was one pile of junk after the other. This movie is just gross looking. Leatherface is a joke in this. They turned a sinister vision into a neanderthal retard. This movie is so shoddy and sloppily done, it's pathetic. The filmmakers must still be in film school. Matthew McConaghuey and Rene Zelwegger give decent performances. Believeable. It is still not enough to salvage this turkey. ... This movie has a vision?. Don't think so. Scary?. Ha!. "Full House" is scarier than this. The dialogue sounds as if it was written by a schizophrenic narcoleptic monkey. Disgusting bad. The other actors all seem like they were picked off the street and asked if they would like to be in a movie. This is a cheap and trashy film that is laughable and is as undistinguished as a film can possibly be. Anyone who praises this is a lost, misguided person who needs to see the light. One of the worst things ever captured on film. The genre should be ashamed and embarrased. I am writing this as 'anonymous' and I am still embarrased!!.

Summary: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
Review: This one was Ok. It could have been much better. Leatherface was dumb in this one. All he does is put on lipstick and women clothes. It als turns the whole thing around. In the first one The Massacre controlled the other bad people but in this one the bad people Control him! But it was Ok. It was NOT good and NOT bad. That is why I gave it a 2 stars. But it was definitely Not as gruesome and bloody as the first and second -in fact it was not bloody at all. And it had some modern, teen humor in it! It is not worth seeing if you want to be so scared that you can't sleep for 2 weeks straight! Definitely not.

Review: ...the original blew my mind enough to recommend it to folks requiring a horror moovy nite of rented vids of something. I saw this and I can't even say Zellweger or McConoghey redeemed it. In my opinion, it is simply abysmal. I suggest you write your own note to follow suit.

Summary: Oh man, please don't tell me I'M stupid now!
Review: I must be an idiot, I think I'm the only person who didn't like this piece of garbage. The film plays out like an episode of 90210 or some TEEN POPULARITY HIGH SCHOOL flick with a Leatherface family thrown in that is about as threatening as The Munsters. WHY is there TRENDY AND HIP alternative music thrown in here and there? To keep the dimwits who would be into this film interested? WHY are the words CHAINSAW and MASSACRE (say them with v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y CHAINSAW, MASSACRE) in the title when NO ONE IS KILLED WITH A CHAINSAW. Overacting Redneck with Robotic Leg Incident would have been a better title. This is a very dumb attempt to turn something horrifying into something marketable. In the first film atleast you BELIEVED the family was mentally disturbed, here its like they are trying their best to outweird each other without doing any real violence on anyone. The film just kind of sits there, the chase scenes are so overdone to the point where you think you're watching a Batman movie. There are some very naive and weak attempts to make this film WEIRD AND DISTURBING like having corpses sitting at a table and that guy with piercings at the end. It all just looks like [bad] attempts to shock make you think "boy these folks sure are crazy". Makes things worse by tagging a very idiotic ending on. Oh ghee, it makes so much sense now... This movie was finished in 1994, put on the shelf, then was finally released on video and cable in 1997. But only after a good deal of footage was cut out and a stupid TRENDY ALTERNATIVE SOUNDTRACK was added. ....I hope one day they release the REAL VERSION of this movie instead of this heavily altered crude. This is the worst film I've ever seen in my entire life next to Scream and all those other dumb 90s horror films. Go buy the first film, don't waste your time or money.

Summary: Not for hippies.
Review: Reading over the reviews, I can see that there is a pretty clear break between the people who have watched this movie. I can certainly see where it isn't for everyone--it isn't one of those pre-packaged I'm-gonna-go-take-a-leak-'cause-Neve-Campbell-ought-to-be-safe-for-another-5-minutes flicks. It had vision. You may not like that vision, you may not agree with that vision, but that vision definitely is there. If you didn't see it, that probably means that you are stupid. If you didn't agree with it, that probably means that you are a hippie. Either way I don't like you. This movie challenges the visual conventions of the horror movie and, indeed, the viewer's sense of reality. For those of you too stupid to have picked this up for yourselves, the appearance of the limousine in the final act was the masterstroke. It was a verifiable, physical manifestation of what we had, up until that point, assumed to be the lunatic ravings of the chainsaw folks. Special effects junkies will be disappointed at the lack of gore, but I thought the largely bloodless action lent an atmosphere of restrained dignity to a thoughtful and introspective masterpiece.

Review: this movie was basically a remake of the 1974 classic, but the scenes are scarier and twisted-er. it's not as gory as the first few chainsaw movies but it is scarier then part 3. i think part 2 is the best sequel, part 4 after, and part 3 last. this one had lots of action and reeney zelweger, i know i spelled her name wrong, she slaps one of the family members and throws a gun at leatherface and jumps out windows, it has action, and it's funny too! rent it or buy it now if you loved the other chainsaw movies.

Review: THIS MOVIE WAS KINDA SICK AND CRAZY, BUT WADDAYA EXPECT FROM "CHAINSAW MASSACRE" SERIES. I RECORDED IT FROM HBO AND, IT WAS WORTH THE TAPE, I LIKED IT ALOT. IT WAS BETTER THEN PART 2 AND 3, A GOOD REMAKE OF PART 1 WITH EXTRA SCENES!
