Review: This movie has been slammed a lot by people writting reviews. I thought it was a good sequel/remake to the original. Kim Henkel wrote and directed it, he wrote the original one as well. I think he was going for the same look and feel as the original and he did a good job I thought, he got the family looking as messed up as they are supossed to be. Leatherface is dressed like a woman for almost the whole movie, which honestly is what he should look like since they are basing him off Ed Gein. There isn't much gore here, but there wasn't much in the original either, so I think they were trying to stay somewhat close to that. Renee Zellwegger has a pretty standard last girl role in a horror movie, but she isn't bad. Matthew McConaughey is probably better in this movie than any other movie he's ever done with the exception of Frailty.

Review: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation might be the worst movie ever made. It is an insult and a disgrace to the good name that is the original. It is banal and pointless, and watching the scenes it stole from the from the original make you feel like an idiot for ever thinking they were scary. The fact is, since this movie is a half-cocked remake there's really no reason to watch it. This is especially true considering the second remake is actually good. Don't watch this movie, if you own it punch yourself.

Review: This movie is most definetly not up for any oscars and far from being a quality film. But I must say that if you have any sense of humor you will fall on the floor laughing. Although as a horror movie its a peice of crap, it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. If you want to laught, watch this movie!!!

Review: they didnt have to make a remake. the one that came out like last week was better than this one. Matthew McConaughey and Renee Zellweger are wasted totally. The first one had the atmosphere that your in a spot and you cant get out and it was better, though the certain lack of some stupidity. this one is not a part of the series its just a remake. boring from start to finish

Summary: This is a load of mess!
Review: Whoever wrote this movie was not at all thinking straight. This movie is nothing but crap! They tried to let us see a different side of the family, but they were far from succeeding. They made Leatherface look and sound like a gay pig, they added psychos to the family thinking it would add to the fun factor, and I do not even see why a movie studio actually accepted this piece of crap!
Leatherface is my all time favorite hero, and in this what they call a movie they made him look gay. If anyone ever writes anything like this for a Texas Chainsaw Massacre script, I will go on a rampage! Stick with the original, the second, and the third, they all rule, but this one sucks!

Summary: A HUGE insult to the whole "Chainsaw" series!
Review: This movie has to be the biggest let down out of the whole "Texas Chainsaw" series. In this film, you can't get in more then five minutes before you want to shut it off. All the characters, especially Leatherface, are the biggest bunch of idiots in this film! It was supposed to be a re-make of the first film, but all it was, was an insult to the first film. If you've never seen the "Chainsaw" films, then I advise you to stick with the first two and maybe check out the third one if you want a good laugh. However, STAY AWAY from this one!! It's not even worth the one star I gave it!

Summary: THIS MOVIE IS AS GOOD AS THROWING UP!!
Review: I loved the original TCM, it's one of the BEST slashers ever made. This however, is just like a remake of the first, but very VEEEEERY BAD! And when I say bad, I mean BAD ACTING, BAD SCRIPT, BAD SPECIAL EFFECTS, BAD JOKES, BAD MUSIC, ETC. ETC. ETC. (I could go on forever) Tobe Hooper didn't direct this one as he did his old ones in the series and therefore it REALLY went downhill from here! I like "B" movies, but this is beyond terrible! Very very very very stupid and bad horror flick that'll make you feel sick and long for the good ol' days when horror was at it's best.

Summary: If Looks Could Kill, He Wouldn't Need A Chainsaw!
Review: Let me just start by saying that this movie is CRAZY! It's crazier than it's original 1974 successor. My main favourite guy (besides Leather-Face) was Vilmer (Matthew McCoaunghey) he kept me laughing and terrified through the whole movie! I do however have a couple of questions and wonderings about this: Why does Leather-Face (Robert Jacks) dress like a WOMAN in this one? How did Heather get off that meathook she was hung on by Leather-Face in an earlier scene? AND WHO THE HELL IS THAT WOMAN ON THE STRETCHER IN THE HOSPITAL SCENE? I CHECKED THE END CREDITS TO FIND OUT, AND ALL IT GAVE ME WAS THE NAME: ANOMYNUS!!!!Well anyway, I watched this on my mother's G4 when everyone else in the house was asleep, and it scared the living daylights out of me!!!! But I gave this only 3 stars because of the above questions and because there was hardly any gore not that I mind really), the goriest scene is where Vilmer begins cutting himself with his knife. Oh, and did I tell ya that NOBODY GETS MASSACRED WITH THE CHAINSAW?!?!?!?! Seriously!! Leather-Face murders only one person with a SLEDGE HAMMER AND NOT HIS SAW!!!!!!! That raises another question: Why would a movie called The Texas CHAINSAW Massacre have a killer armed with a chainsaw who doesn't even manage to KILL anyone with it?!??!?!?! Thats all I'm gonna say here. I'd rather not spoil anything for anyone who has yet to see this somehow enjoyable and yet breath-taking work of art! Another one of my personal favs!! Note to guys: If you want to give your girlfriend a really good scare, then BUY this! (And don't forget to see the 2003 remake...Take her to that one, too! IF SHE'S FEELING BOLD!!!!!)

Summary: weird, and messed up, but its good
Review: this was indeed a very very very strange movie, thats because its the first texas chainsaw massacre i've ever seen. but, i really liked it. this was supposed to be a remake of the original, but im glad its not, because i think the remake in store now for TCM will be good. anyway, get this movie. its funny, and its scary.
