Summary: Halloween with a bug.
Review: Although this DVD contains the TV footage, there is something strange about the sound. It seems the soundtrack is the new mixed soundtrack but still in mono. In any case, the sound skips out of sync during the opening murder scene. When Michael starts stabbing his sister, the "stab" sound effects are out of sync. When the camera tilts up to the stabbing hand, you hear his sister fall out of the chair, then the camera tilts back to his sister and then you SEE his sister fall. The rest of the scene is out of sync: the footsteps going down the stairs, the front door opening, and his father's voice "Michael". The normal viewer may not notice this, but die-hard Halloween fans will.

Summary: Amazing movie
Review: Don't even bother with this disc. Its a joke, a complete and utter joke!! I saw this at my local electronics outlet along with the theatrical version. Both released by the same company. Yet for some reason the theatrical DVD comes with a whole bunch of great features and video and audio remastering while this "extended" disc is in 2 channel Dolby and comes with no extras. Bah! While the extra scenes added to the original are nice, they're not spectacular. (For those who don't know, the TV network standards required cuts to be made in the movie, the movie would be under time, so Debra Hill and the crew making Halloween 2 spent 3 days shooting additional scenes for the TV Version.) There's really only one scene that stands out - Loomis goes to Myers psych ward room to find "Sister" carved on the door. There, now go buy the theatrical disc.

Summary: It's About Bloody Time!!!!!!
Review: FINALLY! After the billion rereleases of this movie, rehashing the same stuff we knew about for years, they finally release the version any Halloween fan has been dying for! This version was only available if you recorded it off of TV, but not anymore! Finally, a version of the movie you've seen a thousand times already with some stuff that make the movie worth seeing again!

Summary: Making you pay yet again
Review: Here's another reason to get annoyed with the way they release movies on tape and DVD. How many versions of Halloween will they keep coming out with?

This movie has one thing going for it: the 10 extra minutes of footage. The material was shot in 81 while they were shooting Halloween II because they needed extra footage for the TV version which was cut under time. So they wove a plot twist--the Michael Meyers/Laurie Strode sibling relation between them which is actually key to the neverending legacy of the series.

And that's it. Wasn't this material already included on the limited Halloween DVD? And why don't they just put all this stuff on one disc--it's 10 extra minutes.

Not worth it. There's a scene of Loomis pleading with the medical board to keep Michael Meyer's in maximum security. Then the shot of the hospital room with the word "sister" written on the wall. Buy the theatrical edition with the documentary and the better sound mixes.

Summary: You would shiver
Review: I saw the fog and the thing both by John Carpenter and I say that this is the most scariest movie I ever saw. When he kills his sister and goes downstairs, his parents come home and he is wearing a clown costume. His niece in Halloween 5 wears that same costume.

Summary: The Last House on the Left
Review: If you want to watch the scariest movie you'll ever see this would be it. This was Wes Craven first film and is based on a true story. Most people can't watch entire film due to graffic content and most video stores especially Blockbuster yanked it for that reason. Want to get scared? This movie will do it.

Summary: Deleted Scenes!
Review: Most Halloween fans will want to see this! Even though John Carpenter himself doesn't like these scenes, most people including myself will want to see them out of sheer curiosity! To see what I think of the movie itself, go to my reviews and check it out.

Summary: CAPTAIN KIRK GOES BANANAS!
Review: Nine years after the cancellation of his favourite TV show, a berserk Star Trek fan dons a Captain Kirk mask and returns home to exact his revenge on the ambivalent viewing public he holds responsible for its demise. Perennial horror favourite launched the career of Jamie Lee Curtis and confirmed Charles Cyphers as a bonafide box-office superstar.
