Summary: The Scream Mythos Comes To An Marvelous End
Review: Four long rip-off filled years after the world was first introduced to the world of Sydney Prescott, Deputy Dewey, and Ghostface, Director Wes Craven released the highly anticipated sequel Scream 3, the third and final chapter of what would ultimately became one of the most affectionately beloved horror franchises of the 1990's, to the world. For all of his fans around the globe who had considerably shoved the previous Screams to immense commercial dominance and lasting cultural impact around the world, Craven was authoring one last concluding passage to the films that film audiences eventually would realize was originally intended to be a Trilogy by Scream creator/screen writer Kevin Williamson himself. This alarmingly frank yet insidiously cunning last major innovation of the series that defined 90's horror allows Scream to defiantly defy cinematic trends, rules, and formulas once again by choosing the method, style, and course of it's demise. Just like it's inception, the Scream series seared through its life cycle and the Hollywood establishment like a blaze of glory eliminating the old and creating a gamut where new ideas and innovation could grow out of the ashes of Hollywood's deplorable repetition of thought.As for Scream 3's tale, we pick up our story a few years after the traumatic events of Scream 2; Hollywood is still reaping some insanely lucrative rewards from the past two homicidal rampages that directly involved poor psychologically troubled Sydney Prescott and her friends. On the set of Stab 3, some unusual trappings of malice begin to develop as cast members, familiar Scream faces making cameo appearances, and crew members start to turn up slaughtered and covered with cryptic photographs of a strangely familiar young woman who may have been an actress in Los Angeles back in the Golden Age of Hollywood. This baffles authorities who bring in Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox Arquette) and Dwight "Dewey" Riley (David Arquette) to investigate the similar Modus Operandi of these killings with that of the previous Ghostface sightings. Is there a correlation between these incidents? How does Sydney play in to all of this? What further mysteries exist in the mythology of the Scream pictures? These and many more doubts are questions that you're going to have to determine for your self by watching this terrifically savvy movie, but I promise you won't be dissatisfied by what you see. Scream 3 conclusively wraps up the Scream Trilogy narrative with profuse intelligence, engaging enthusiasm, plentiful trademark horror references, all the familiar faces that are alive and not (No there's nothing supernatural in this movie. Just watch!), characteristically virtuoso Craven directorial touches that bring Scream back to it's thriller based roots, the rapidly stellar satirical touches of the previous films, and another radiantly extraordinary performance by Neve Campbell to decisively create another daringly original horror film form Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson. As for Scream 3's DVD edition, it includes a stellar anamorphic widescreen presentation, a revealing Wes Craven commentary track, deleted scenes, a deleted alternate ending with Wes Craven commentary, Creed's "What If" Music Video, and series outtakes from all three films to solidify a very consumer friendly package. A Must for any true Horror Fan. A Must-See!

Summary: The best of them All
Review: I absolutely love this Collection. It's fabulous! Espically if your a Scream fan or a Wes Craven fan. Has almost everything you would want in a collection plus a Bonus CD! I love everything about it including the editing game on the Bonus CD. Not to mention the commentaries by Wes Craven and some of the crew about the movie. It really is worth the buy. The movies itself tells of a different story, where it pokes fun at itself and horror sequals that surpass the original. The characters are fun loving and you are constantly guessing "who's done it" at the end. It's on the edge of your seat suspense, more than horror I think. Some of my new found favorite actor's and actresses include Neve Cambpell (Party of Five), David Arquette, and Courtney Cox-Arquette (Friends). Not to mention David and Courtney fell in love during the making of the Scream Movies and where married by the time the third one was in the making. Not to mention other loveable characters as Randy Meeks played by Jamie Kennedy who makes appearances throughout the series. And if you look really hard you can pick out Wes Craven himself throughout the series. It's really fun and really worth your money. That is if you really call yourself a Scream fan ;)

Review: One of the best series ever! This series has so many stupid things going on that it is hard to keep up sometimes. If I had to name one character that made the series it would have to be Deputy Doofus! He was great. Buy the whole series. You won't be sorry.

Review: Because you already know what the movie Scream has to offer, because you are looking into this boxed set. I will tell you what the boxed set has to offer. The set is rather simple nothing too special is done for the boxed set, no special DVD packaging, just a simple box that they come in and a VERY thick booklet featuring still photos with cast, movie, and maker information. All three of the Scream movies offer the same DVD features as their singular DVD release; they just put them into the boxed set. Then finally there is a fourth DVD, which offers much more for those of you with a DVD-ROM on your computer. It has web links, more pictures, more interviews, more making of features and the original script of Scream and even the original cast readings when they were trying out for the part. That's it and one last thing, try to pick this boxed set up for under forty bucks, not fifty or seventy which others are selling it for.

Review: The Ultimate Scream Colection is the definitive piece of merchandise that any TRUE Scream fan must own. The package itself contains all three films on DVD, a special bonus disc, and a collector's booklet. I'll start off with ... SCREAM - This is what started the whole franchise. A year after her mother was murdered, Sidney Presscott suddenly realizes that the terror isn't over, and that she's being stalked by a masked figure in a ghost costume with an unknown motive. All of her friends are either targets or suspects, and you don't know which until the shocking finale. Neve Campbell, Rose McGowan, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy, Matthew Lillard, and Drew Barrymore star in this clever and brilliant thriller which is sure to give you a rush. The DVD itself contains excellent extras and the picture and sound are both terrific. Grade: 5 stars SCREAM 2 - After the horrific events several years ago, Sidney tries moving on with her life. Now, she's in college with a promising life ahead. But someone is trying to put a stop to it. Along with Sidney, the other surviving original characters from the first return, Dewey Riley, Gale Weathers, and Randy Meeks. Soon, the terror and mayhem begins all over again and Sidney realizes that someone is trying to recreate the terrifying events of Woodsboro. She realizes that no one is safe. Not her, or her friends. Newcomers include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jada Pinkett, Jerry O'Connell, Elise Neal, and Timothy Olyphant. Scream 2 is packed with excellent chase scenes and great dialogue. In some ways, it's better than the first. The DVD also has great extras and the sound and picture are perfect. Grade: 5 stars SCREAM 3 - Sidney is now living in seclusion where no one knows her true whereabouts. But the terror itself isn't over. Someone is lurking trying to find out where Sidney is. This film takes place in Hollywood on the set of Stab 3. Soon the cast of Stab 3 starts dying, and Sidney realizes that once again, the terror isn't over. She decides to face her fear and come out of hiding. Sidney, along with Gale and Dewey soon learn that this is a TRILOGY and that things you thought were true weren't necesarily that way. True trilogies go all the way back to the beginning. Parker Posey is a new addition to the series in this film, and she's excellent. The film itself falls short of the first two, but not by much. It's still a great joyride. Grade: 4 stars. Bonus Disc & Collector's Booklet - The bonus disc contains lots of extras including a Behind the Scream documentary, Sunrise Studio trailers, and The Cutting Room Floor where you can take deleted scenes from the film and make your very own. The booklet contains all the inside information about the Scream films including merchandise, pictures, the body count of all three scream films, and a summary of each film. This is the ULTIMATE collection for any Scream fan. Anything you could possibly want to know about the Scream films is contained in packet.

Summary: #3 Missed its mark
Review: This conclusion to the series was supposed to be reminiscent of Halloween, but the killer never seemed to have enough agility, enough "flow" to his movements to be the stereotypical "immortal killer". For the third movie, considering how it ended, the killer should have had more the traits of a movie assassin, in my opinion: doesn't just RUN around an object in the way, but appears a second later when the camera takes another angle; doesn't block a few punches and stagger when knocked down, but gets up immediately and attack again. Also, he should have had few physical signs of rage during the killing until the victim was already dead, since the SCREAM killers love to hack at the stiffs. This killer looked like he had exactly the same skill as the original two and the sequel's duo. He should have been RELENTLESS in the word's definition. The deleted scenes from the movie and killings that were ignored and edited out (DVD version) show what I mean: The alternate killing of Cotton, for example.
One more criticism: the actors playing actors didn't resemble whom they were replacing: the blonde was too unlike the screaming girls from the old slasher pics, and the African-American didn't resemble Randy like he should have. Roman could be the Wes Craven substitute in the movie. Scenes involving the actual filming of the movie could have been added in to include what Scream has had since the original: criticism of the best/worst slasher flick tactics (run up the stairs, screaming at the right or wrong time) These problems could have been avoided by lengthening the film; the audience would have been patient. Not doing so makes Scream unoriginal as far as what made the first one so different as a slasher milestone.

Summary: Excellent collection
Review: Love it or hate it, the Scream trilogy was one of the landmark series of the 1990s. They rejuvenated the dying slasher genre and paved the way for a rabble of imitators. The original movie remains the best of the lot, with the third being the weakest. However, despite the flaws of the third, and the fact that the first one is edited and contains a non-anamorphic transfer, this package is well worth it. The number of extras is very impressive, although I was a little disappointed by the sparsity of the bonus disc. This isn't up there with Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box, but it makes a pretty good stab (excuse the expression) at it. There are some very memorable characters in the trilogy, and the majority of the actors play them convincingly. What is really impressive, however, at least with the first two, is the imaginative and often very subtle dialogue, which shows an excellent knowledge of classic horror movies. The third one falls off the rails here, being written by Ehren Kruger instead of creator Kevin Williamson, but it is a perfectly competent screenplay in its own right. This set is worth it for the first two films alone. Think of the third one as an extra, since it is not of the same caliber. However, you owe it to yourself to see all three movies, best watched on a dark night with friends, one after the other. The Scream trilogy was great and it's a shame there won't be any more, but you couldn't really ask for more.

Review: *WARNING: THIS REVEIW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!* I bought this collection for 40 dollars from a local store and i beleive i got my moneys worth, here is my overall reveiew: Scream: Out of 5 stars when 5 is the best, this movie is a 3 1/2, it is more suspense then horror in my opinion and *SPOILER* Drew barrymore dying in the first 15 minutes was not my favorite part but i would say that it was kinda unpredictable, and the spoof parts are great too. Overall, rent it and watch it again before you buy it. Scream 2: I saw this movie the day after it came out and it was worth the money, the ending was hilarious and I was somewhat shocked. overall out of 5 stars, it would be 3. Scream 3: I saw this on opening night and was somewhat disapointed, it is the last one and *spoiler* they don't even kill any more of the main characters!, that was very disapointing and they even left it open for a 4th one although there never will be (the chances are about the same of the Utah Jazz wining the NBA title) Bonus DVD: has some good material on it, including very funny screen test for Sidney, Billy and Randy, and the outakes are hilarious! OVERALL REVIEW: if you liked any of the Scream movies or a DVD collector, GET THIS COLLECTION!

Review: this movie should not have been written. This movie is the absolute worst of the scream series. "Terror on the movie set"
is sort of the theme for the movie. Being that this movie was the final installment you would think that it would be good but NO. The ending is the worst. The only good thing about this movie is the cameos. (especially the one by Jay & Silent bob)
