Summary: Freddy seems to Friendly
Review: I like almost all the NOES movies but this one seems too.......funny. I was laughing more than I was jumping from surprise or something. I reall wouldn't watch this movie no matter how u want to see it because u will be very dissapointed. The only really cool thing was when u see Freddy as the dad in the garden and all. Do yourself a favor and watch all the NOES movies but this one. Later

Review: I cannot believe Robert Englund agreed to star in this [sad] installment of one of the best horror series ever. i have so many issues with this film, it's not even funny.
1. They tried way too hard to make this a comedy/horror film. that idea is just stupid since the original was an all-out HORROR film. Freddy was too GOOFY in this film, which was carrid over from part 5, but here, it's particualry annoying.
2. Why is Freddy wearing brand new clothes? his pants and sweater aren't dirty at all! you'd think after all he's been through he'd look like hell.
3. they show TOO MUCH of Freddy's face! What made him scary in Parts 1 and 2 was that his face was always hidden in shadows, which made him mysterious and actually scary. also, Freddy's makeup is pretty [bad] in this film, as it has since part 3. the original makeup in part 1 (and part 2) was good because he actually looke burned and his skin had a slimy look to it.
4. How did John and Maggie know anything about Freddy and what had happened in Springwood? "Freddy had a kid!!" OK, well what do you care, Jon, you don't even know who Freddy is.
5. This movie is SO dated, even more so than part 5 which is pretty sad. It's supposed to take place in 2001 lol.
6. THE 3-D! Oh, my god, who's bright idea was this?? It totally ruined what could have been a decent ending.
I could go on but I'm bored already. Bottom line, Rachel Talalay or whatever, you worked on so many other Nightmare films yet you screw up the last one. Shame on you.

Summary: "Every town has an Elm Street..." (4.5 stars)
Review: I think most would agree that this particular Freddy movie is the goofiest of them all. It isn't even very scary, but still manages to be creepy. Even though it's the most goofy Freddy movie, does that mean it's not entertaining? Of course not! In fact, I think this is the most entertaining one in the series; not the best, but the most fun to watch. Freddy's back and is unleashing a bloody trail of dead teens in "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare."

A child psychologist is trying to help a group of troubled teens. But things get out of control when a John Doe enters her life, who turns out to be the last survivor of Elm Street. She finds out that the two of them have something in common; nightmares. John learns that the reason why Freddy has kept him alive so long is because he has a kid and is trying to get to him/her (there's even a possibility that John himself is Freddy's son). Whoever his child may be, the child is the key for Freddy to explore a new playground, enabling him to unleash his murderous wishes all over again.

Like I said, this isn't a very scary Freddy movie. It even resembles a comedy most of the time. But I still think it's a great flick. It's the most enjoyable of the series, but it isn't the best. Robert Englund still has it down as being Freddy Krueger. No way in heck would anybody else be able to tackle down the role as he has. And it's neat to see him have more lines in this one. As mean as he is, he can be pretty funny.

As enjoyable as the movie is, it does have a tendency to get overly goofy. I think they could've made it a little more scarier. The other ones before might've been funny, but they were also scary, too. That's the only real flaw of the movie, as it's one you shouldn't take very seriously. It's a fun and enjoyable flick and nothing more. It's not trying to be the "Great American Movie."

The DVD isn't loaded with a lot of extras. You can watch it in Dolby Digital or in the original stereo mix. The picture looks really good; a big improvement over the VHS version, of course. There's cast and crew biographies that you can explore as well. I don't know if this is included in the single DVD version of "Freddy's Dead," but if you pick up the complete set there are 3-D glasses included that allows you to watch the end sequence in 3-D. Pretty cool extra, if you ask me.

All in all, "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare," while not the scariest one in the series, proves to be quite an enjoyable movie. That is, if you don't take it too seriously. It's a great one to see, especially if you've seen the rest. Although it's the most criticized in the series, I still think it's the most enjoyable one. And make sure you watch the end credits, to see the life of Freddy Krueger. A great time, if you ask me.

Summary: AN IMPROVEMENT OVER #5
Review: THIS ONE IS OK, IF A LITTLE UNESSECARY. IN THIS ONE, FREDDY RETURNS TO STALK A TEENAGER WHO'S LOST HIS MEMORY AND HIS SANITY WHILE TRYING TO STAY AWAKE AT ALL TIMES TO AVOID SEEING FREDDY. HOWEVER, HE IS PICKED UP BY THE COPS, AND IS SENT TO A SHELTER, AND FREDDY BEGINS PICKING MORE TARGETS THERE, ALONG THE WAY, HE ALSO FINDS HIS LONG LOST DAUGHTER [LISA ZANE]. THIS ONE HAD 3-D SCENES WHEN IT WAS RELEASED IN THEATRES, BUT THE VIDEO IS NOT, AND I'M NOT SURE IF THE DVD BOUGHT BACK THE 3-D SCENES,BUT WITH OR WITHOUT THEM, THIS MOVIE IS OK. THIS ONE HAS CAMEOS BY ROSEANNE, JOHNNY DEPP, ALICE COPPER, AND TOM ARNOLD [I THINK]. WHILE THIS MOVIE IS FAR FROM BEING ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTMARE MOVIES, IT DEFINITELY TOPS #5 110 PERCENT.

Summary: Freddy's dead is the most entertaining of the franchise
Review: OK, this movie is just great. It seems like an acid trip without actually doing any acid!!!What really makes this movie so great is there are some creative/humourous deaths, and it shows freddys background as a kid and a dad (for the first time in the series)This movie has a very fun, dark humour feel to it, and even though people may have talked bad about it in the past, it really truly is the best freddy movie that there is.

Summary: Visually stunning if not final entry.
Review: Freddy Kreuger ( Robert Englund) returns once again for the last time to get revenge on his daughter " Maggie" ( Lisa Zane) but only she can destroy Freddy once and for all.

This is a sensational sequel that is really not the last but does offer great special effects for it's time including 3-D effects back in 1991, the acting is good in some spots but this is a highly imaginative sequel.

R.I.P. Freddy until " New Nightmare" and " Freddy Vs. Jason".

Summary: NOT GOOD but very enjoyable and WAY better than part 2 and 5
Review: This isn't a very good movie but enjoyable it is. When your watching a part 6 to a horror franchise it's usually unrealistic to expect a classic. Even to expect a decent movie is a strech. What matters in a sequal this deep into the franchise is- did I get some enjoyment out of seeing this? I for one really enjoyed it. Whether you should buy it or rent it depends- Are you a compleatist?

Summary: BETTER THAN 2 OR 5 BUT THATS NOT SAYING MUCH
Review: This movie is ok,but its only comical and not scary at all,my mom even laughed during this DVD. I would recommend A Nightmare On Elm Street 1,3 instead and skip all the other films including this one unless you want a good laugh like I did.

Summary: FREDDY'S DEAD : THE FINAL NIGHTMARE
Review: Maybe not the best, but by NO means the worst.
This film is a fun ride and is worth seeing again and again.
I think maybe the 3D effects are maybe just a excuse to pull in the punters and sometimes don't always seem to work the way they should, however it is nice to see the original being restored for DVD as the previous video was missing the 3D effect.
Freddy isnt menacing in the slightest, but as any true Nightmare fan knows by now, Freddy has been gradualy losing his ability to scare each time a film is released.
He does however deliver a stella performance as everyones favourite fried cadavour.
Not as gory as it could be but still damn good bloody fun.
A slightly dated but still somewhat catchy soundtrack to boot!
Like Jason Goes To Hell the idea of introducing family members has been added, now to some fans (like myself) this is a great turn of events as it steers the storyline in a new direction without taking to much away from the original concept.
Usually ending disasterously (See Jason X)

So if you havent already, get this DVD if your a Freddy fan or not, you WILL not want to miss this beauty!
At this price, you can't complain!
