Summary: Hilarious!!!!! This One Is Terrific!!!!!!!
Review: Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare takes place in the year 2001. The town of Springwood is now deserted of children, and the adults have gone through a psychic trauma. There is one boy, John Doe (Shon Greenblat) who is still alive, but he does not know why. Found on the streets by two police officers, he is taken to a shelter, and made the patient of Maggie (Lisa Zane). The two drive away to Springwood to investigate the town, and hoping John will get a memory spurt. When they arrive, they discover the town is free of children, believed to have been killed off by Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund).

Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare, is my very favorite A Nightmare On Elm Street (ANOES) film. It is (of course) not even close to being scary, or horrific, but what good charecter developement!!!! And what a great roller couster ride it is!!!! By now, Freddy has become Jim Carrey; he's cracking outrageous jokes ("Nice hearing from ya' Carlos!!!, What's with kids today???,Let's Trip Out!!!") and doing hilarious things. While many people call this awful, I've got no problem with it (In fact, I can never quit laughing at this Freddy!!!), and the film is just as entertaining as any other (Exclude #4 from that), and ten times as funny!!!! Long time executive producer Rachel Talalay made her directing debut with The Final Nightmare, and did a mightey fine job!!!! In her interview, she said she wanted Freddy's Dead to be more fun, and it is!!! Forget what Leonard Maltin says (he hates every good movie) and watch this awesome, thrill-packed, laugh-a-minute, roller couster. As for the 3-D, well, I have the box set, so I can watch it in either 2-D or 3-D (but if you only buy the boxed set for the 3-D, you will be very dissapointed!!!!), and I preffer 2-D. While I'm quite happy with the 3-D, I preffer the 2-D for easy reasons. In 3-D it's harder to see what's going on, but on 2-D it's perfectly clear. Never the less, I love Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare, no matter what others may say. Highley reccomended!!!!!

Summary: Haha funny....what a good JOKE!!
Review: Had really no interest in seeing this movie and now I know why...got it for Christmas and I have to say what a HUGE disappointment!! I mean I always heard the last of the NIGHTMARE series were really stupid being that Freddy turned into a quipp spewing loser. This movie holds that to be true.

Like the ones before it, Freddy kills people....shock shock...

The ONLY thing that kept this movie alive was the interesting twist about Freddy's past life. He had a daughter who was taken away from him and since he couldn't have his daughter, he would kill other peoples kids, and so we get the full story of the one started in the origional. But other than that...this movie falt out sucked! Freddy wasn't even scray...in the SLIGHTEST! He just said quipp after quipp after lame *** quipp and it got tiring REALLY FAST! This is the one in the series that even if you ARE a diehard fan...you won't miss not seeing it. I gave it 2 stars STRICTLY on the fact that it IS, sadly, part of the NIGHTMARE series and that my Grandma got it for me (awww SHUT UP) but other than that....this doesnt deserve any stars....

Summary: bad to the bone
Review: this movie sucked, it was better than the dreamchild but the worst one, the deaths were ridiculous and it had to much humour, the ending was a total let down, the fight between Freddy and his daughter was not a big finale, this movie was a waste of my time, and if your looking for a good movie, this is not a good choice, even die hard freddy fans won't like this, even the acting was bad, don't rent this or buy it, worst Freddy movie

Summary: The 3-D is stupid!
Review: Hi I am here to let you know about Freddys Dead as you can tell. I have seen the 3-D ending of this movie because I have the box set so I can let you know about the real movie.
I have to admit it but I think that number 5 was better than this. And I hate number 5. If your looking for a good scary Freddy movie go watch A Nightmare On Elm St or New Nightmare. Definitly better. Trust me. This has nothing to do with any of the other Nightmares. Totally new story. Well except for Freddy.
We find out that he had a child but his child was taken away so he went on a rampage to kill every Springwood child. Which he did. And there is one left. But for one reason. but you'll have to find out the rest and watch the movie. I mean don't even go naer this movie. The 2D version was even stupider. It looked so fake. There is no jumps, scares, suspence, but only you will got scared if your one of those of people that don't watch Scary Movies. A baby. Or just never seen an R rated movie. So yeah.
Now back to the 3-D ending. Now how long is it? 10 min. Or less. Nothing comes out of the screen. What a waste of money. Big waste. I must say that Spy Kids 3-D was cooler than this piece of crap. I even think that From Justin To Kelly was alot more entertaining. By way! Okay so I guess that you want me to stop complaing about this horrible movie. Well okay I'll stop. It's an okay movie that I probaly have to skip through. To the end.
So see this movie. Don't get scared. Yeah RIGHT!!!!
HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: AWESOME!!!
Review: This one is awesome!!! Definently the best of the series! Way more scary, fun, and entertaining than the last 5. It also has the best death scenes. And also, Freddy looks the scariest in this one. Freddy doesn't die until the end though, and even then he's not really dead, so its not really the final nightmare, cause then there's Freddy Vs. Jason. But this is still the best of the series and it definently worth owning.

Summary: Freddy isnt dead but the series may be!
Review: I know a lot of people liked this movie but it just didnt do nothing for me. The acting in this film was completely awful. They even had to throw special apearences from famous actors to keep this movie entertaining and I think they failed at that. I know freddy isnt suppose to be scary anymore but come on,they could at least have had a couple of the horror movie elements in the film. The only thing good about this film were the Death scenes although not as gory as some of the previous films were still very entertaining. The last 20 minutes of this film was so boring they had to make it in 3-D to get people to stay in the theatres and finish it. With the poor acting and the worst ending I ve ever seen in a movie I give this film only 2 stars. Rated R for a little bit of violence and language

Summary: "It's Horrid! Truly Laughable!"
Review: Plot: A boy is having dreams of Freddy and is learning dark secrets of his past. And he begins to wander 'Am I Freddy's child?' We soon find the answer to that when Freddy drops him a hundred feet from the air onto a bed of spikes saying 'Bring me my daughter!'

Review: I want to give this movie Zero stars! It Sucked! As all my friends know I am the biggest Freddy fan in school, but oh my god! I was reading the reviews for this movie before I watched it, and almost everyone said it sucked, and I was like 'Oh come on, it cant be that bad! (...) Needless no say they were right. Me and my friends watched this and we were laughing our butts off! The only reason me and my friends laughed is one: We have dark senses of humor (we enjoy stick death) and two: It Horrid! Truly Laughable! The death scenes where stupid (blood spraying out of a TV? Please...) And there is no gore! I know a movie can be scary without gore, and I honestly prefer it that way, but some could have saved this maybe even if it was just an inch. And they never even showed how Freddy came back to life (I know none of the others did, beside the 4th one but still...) And as I said before me and my friends were laughing the whole time. I'm sure I lot of people would think this is great (And I love comedy) but how the hell can you rank this under horror? The only thing scary was how bad it was! Now, I love the first one. Best horror movie ever. Plain and simple. But this could possibly be the worst horror movie ever. Know why? I'll tell you: IT IS NOT HORROR! I know I have said this a lot but my god, a two year old would be laughing at this! How can this be rated R you ask? I don't know, honestly. There are only two things I like about this movie: 1 How it flashed back to show Freddy's past. Cool. And two: Carlos's death. I know I said that I didn't like this movie being comedy, but this scene was just SO funny! He pops the guys head!

Anyway those are the two good things about the movie. I don't think I have anything else to say but I am glad Wes Craven hated this movie and come back, create Freddy, and kill him the way it was meant to be done: HUMORLESS

Whatever. The only reason I am keeping this movie is so I can tell people at school "Yeah, I have all the Freddy movies"

PS you can hit that No on the "Did you find this review helpful, but I am just warning those who like the true Frederick.

Summary: Freddy's dead! Long live Freddy!
Review: I brought many mixed feelings to the theatre with me when I originally saw this film back in late 1991. On the one hand, I was thrilled to get another chance to watch my man Freddy doing what he does best; on the other hand, I was emotionally traumatized by the thought of this literally being the end of Freddy Krueger. Still, I enjoyed the film immensely, and now ' knowing that Freddy wasn't finished after all - I can go back and really have fun with this film. A lot of fans find fault with Freddy's Dead, but I am not one of them. It does go a little overboard a time or two, but this film exhibited ' from start to finish - a different character, atmosphere, and feel from all five of its predecessors, breathing vivid new life and infusing great energy into all things Elm Street. It's really a quite different Freddy that we find in this installment. Jumping ten years into the future, we find Freddy pretty much fat and happy; he has been very busy in this lost decade, pretty much wiping out the young people of Springwood and infesting what is left of the town with his insidious spirit. This Freddy is strong and powerful, going out of his way to really enjoy his soul-reaping escapades. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 made the mistake of going to extremes somewhat half-heartedly; Freddy's Dead also goes to extremes, but it does so with gusto and without the pretences that weakened Elm Street 5. Freddy truly enjoys himself in this installment, making this perhaps the most entertaining of all the Elm Street films.

The most significant aspect of Freddy's Dead is the remarkable insight we get into Freddy's past. The movie drops something of a bombshell on the audience, showing us a part of Freddy's history we never knew before. This plot point doesn't work perfectly (suffering slightly from "what came first ' the chicken or the egg" syndrome), but it does work. We also gain insight into Freddy's childhood (Alice Cooper plays his step-father), which was not a particularly happy one. While many a victim of such childhood abuse would now go on Oprah and sob for the cameras, Freddy chose a different path. He didn't want apologies or understanding, he wanted revenge and blood. Personally, I think he made the right choice.

Don't look for any players from past movies, as there is no direct continuity between Elm Street 5 and Freddy's Dead. Here we get to start all over again, in a world where only one Springwood teenager still lives. He tries to run, but he can't hide, and Freddy soon pulls him back where he belongs. Freddy wants a ticket out of town so that he can continue killing on a much larger scale ("Every town has an Elm Street"), and there is only one way out for him. This makes for a strong and attractive storyline, one which is even further enhanced by the film's explanation of the source of Freddy's nightmare powers. Of course, a few kids have to die, and they do so in the most ingenious of ways. Freddy's first appearance in this film is a must-see, and the kills he cooks up are elaborate, comical, and pretty darn satisfying. Fred's almost playful at times, truly delighting in his murderous handiwork. The video game kill sequence takes a good idea a little too far, but I thought the other kills were all very impressive ' much different from what has come before, but very satisfying.

Honestly, I find this a much better film than Elm Streets 2, 4, and 5. It's sort of a huge going away party for one of horror's greatest icons. Even Roseanne and Tom Arnold show up to be part of the fun (but, sadly, neither fall victim to our anti-hero). The big 3-D sequence that closes out the film is also great fun and wonderfully different from the "same old same old" endings of past years. I'm not completely satisfied with the method of Freddy's supposed destruction, but Freddy's Dead is basically a celebration of Freddy's unique contribution to the horror genre. I'm still not sure why the studio set out to end Freddy's reign of terror for good, though. A lot of experts seem to think that fans love to hate Freddy, so a desire to see him given a decent send-off might fit well into such modes of thought. There are plenty of us, though, who not only love Freddy but actively root him on. For us, Freddy's death was a hard pill to swallow; thankfully, Wes Craven returned home in the nick of time to save Freddy from a premature "death," giving him the chance to soar to even greater heights in Wes Craven's New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason.
