Summary: I lost it in my pants!
Review: This one has all the classics: Nubbins, Chop Top and Leather Face. Sawyers rule! This one doesn't skimp on the meat!

Summary: "TCM 2" is a graphic and tasteless sequel
Review: I saw the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I was completley blown away by (1) how friggin' scary it was and (2) how talented director Tobe Hooper was. I rented the sequel with high hopes- it starred DENNIS HOPPER! And, unlike so many other horror sequels, it was directed by the same person resposible for the original. I was terribly disapointed. I could not believe this was made by the same person who made the original! TCM 2 held nothing back- it ever so casually showed a man getting blugeoned to death by a hammer as his assalent sat over him laughing. I realize that shock has some value, and graphic violence was present in the original as well, but it the original the violence was SCARY and in the sequel it's just disgusting. Also present in the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre was stylish directing and believable acting. There's very little suspence in the sequel and the acting is just plain ludicrious.

Summary: One Star if Hopper wasn't in it
Review: TCM 2 might actually lower your opion of the 5 star original. It's sloppy, cheesy, and poorly acted. The plot is often incoherant. Instead of scarring the audience, it repulses them with needlessly graphic violence. A trashy sequel to a wonderful horror movie.

Summary: Some good ol' sickboy humor from one of the pioneers
Review: This movie taps more into the humorous potential of the first film. It's still rotten to the core, but its tounge in cheek. Even if the cheek's been cut off buy an electric carving knife.

Summary: gory but just too flimsy a plot
Review: What is Dennis Hopper DOING in this movie!!! Apart from the occasional scenes of decent gore there is little to no redeeming overall marks. However, the scene in which Leatherface (or "Bubba" as he is called in this sequel to TCM)massages his chainsaw up a woman's thiegh, to which she asks whether he can actually "Get it up". This and all tcm-like movies have since been banned in the u.k.

Summary: Don't waste your time
Review: The idea is frightfully unnerving and executed with appropriate panache for a film of this type, but the unnecessary delineation with ridiculous black comedy completely destroys any praiseworthiness this movie can aspire to...Hooper needs to concentrate less on comedy and more on artful frightening of people if he wants to make a good movie...The Halloween series is much better than any of the garbage in the series of overrated flicks this turkey belongs to...

Summary: Yes, it IS the "best movie ever made, dammit"!
Review: This movie sets the standard by which all other horror films are judged. It's hilarious and horrifying...at the same time! Bill Moseley gives a tour-de-force performance as "Chop-Top" - Excellent character acting, Bill!

Summary: Disapointing, but fans of the original may want to watch it
Review: 12 yrs. after the original cult classic Hooper decides to continue the saga, but takes a different approach. He tries to make a wild camp comedy/gore flick...and fails (pretty badly I might add) ending up with a burlesque of the first but I admire him for not trying to recreate the terror of the 1st film like the director's of 3 & 4. 1st off this film would be rock-bottom 1-star material if not for the last 20 minutes (including a pretty cool final battle) that surprisingly manages to excite despite awful 1st hour-ten with all attempts at black humor falling flat. Reverse merits include: a hammy Hopper as the grude holding sheriff, some unintentionally funny moments, and cheesy chainsaw scenes. One oddity is this thing Leatherface does with his chainsaw when he's around the female star that looks like he's trying to skrew her!!??!! And there's a scene were he's doing this and she's doing a kinda Meg Ryan coffee shop thing from "When Harry Met Sally" (made 3 yrs. later I might add, but I doubt the writer(s) actually lifted it from this hokum) only its in a radio station. Other cheese includes: watermelons for the heads of Leatherface's victims (!) and the chainsaws were NEVER actually turned on, they just added the sound to the soundtrack (!!!!!!!) TALK ABOUT CHEESE. If you can look for the laser disc which contains some cool deleted scenes (without music or sound effects) including the Joe Bob Briggs cameo and a scene where Leatherface and co. chop up some hoods and one of their hands gives 'em the finger!!

Summary: best movie ever made, dammit
Review: every minute of this Tobe Hooper classic is drenched in blood! madness, mayhem, and a classic chainsaw battle between Dennis hopper and Leatherface make this a video to be cherished for years to come. oh, yeah, and that guy scratching his head with a heated coat hanger! too cool!

Summary: TCM2 another classic
Review: Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 2 is another Horror classic, This movie was not as good as the original but it's still scary. To bad Gunnar Hansen didn't play leatherface again. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was that they lived in a cave, I wished that they still lived in the house from the original movie
