Summary: The quintessential "Friday" movie.
Review: More than any other "Friday", "Final Chapter" hits every point that any "Friday" fan wants: hot babes who have no problem taking their clothes off, a really breezy plot, cool and interesting death scenes (a LOT of 'em), and Jason in his hockey mask looking next to invulnerable (though that last fact is supposedly changed at the end). This movie is a lot of fun, and the one that made me really like the series.
About the cast: Ted White isn't the best Jason; he's big without the brawler look of Kane Hodder, and seems to stumble around a bit, unlike Ken Kirzinger's near-elegant movements. Still, he get's the job done. Crispin Glover: it's fun seeing him here! You can already see George McFly in his early stages (and George McFly meeting with a corkscrew and a meat cleaver).
About the story: it's interesting that the writers tie one character, Rob, into another character from Part II (his sister Sandra whom Jason offs in bed). And while it's a bit of a downer that there's no supernatual element in this one, with Jason still technically being alive, well...good ol' Tommy Jarvis takes care of that for us.
If you like good, silly horror, this is great!

Review: The first Friday the 13th was the best in the series for pure scares, but if you want classic Jason, then this is where you start. He has the hockey mask, and he isn't a tattered mass of rot yet. You have tweens at Crystal Lake. You have the return of Tom Savini. So all the elements are here except a summer camp. But hey, this is as close as you get (unless you count F13 part 6 where Jason is a zombie by that point).Some tweens are renting a house by the lake directly across from a house owned by a mother and her 2 kids, a tween girl, and a young Corey Feldmen. Jason arrives, fresh from the morgue where his axe to the head at the end of part 3 had left him "not quite dead". What follows are some great splatter scenes with just enough gratuitous (...) tossed in for contrast. Corey Feldmen's scene where he watched thru the window and saw 2 of the young people making out was great comic relief without bringing down the rest of the atmosphere. The DVD doesn't offer a lot in the way of features, but does have the widescreen version in a very crisp transfer. I would have liked to have heard some commentary, maybe get Savini in for the technical side and maybe Feldmen or Crispin Glover since they are about the only cast members still on the radar today (although remotely). The old Nintendo Friday the 13th video game featured the artwork from this film and I think it's because this movie best represents the heart of the series which would eventually be ripped out and stomped to death over the course of 7 more films.

Summary: "Final Chapter"....Shyeah, Right!!
Review: After the ax grinding conclusion to "Friday the 13th Part 3-D", you would think Jason would finally take things lying down, but "Paramount Studios" had plenty of milk left to squeeze out of this franchise's teet. After being taken to the County Morgue, Jason wakes up pretty grumpy & decides to let the coroner & his nurse girlfriend know about it by killing them both. After that, well,.... after that... Jason is lost! After he figures out where he's headed (I'm sure he has a compass w/ him but, if you listen closely you can still here him moanin' & groanin') Jason starts the long trek back home, but gets sidetracked when he encounters a group of teenagers partying at a house they've rented for the weekend. If you've seen the first three "Friday" films you know old hockeypuck tries to make friends & fit in. It's all peace & love... not! Keep an out for Crispin Glover (the Creepy Thin Man from the "Charlie's Angels" films, as well as, in real life) & a pre-Michael Jackson victim / "Goonies", Corey Feldman as Tommy, the boy who is cut above Jason. As for the DVD release of the film, "Paramount Home Video" drops the ball again w/ 2.0 Dolby Digital, & no special features except for a trailer (not a special feature, retards).

Summary: Laughable
Review: This is funny as the studio planned this to be the "finale" the End! LOL yeah right! this one does feature the first REAL look at Ol wormy head Jason without the mask! This is a very good film also, for those who mock the "sequels" well in truth the idea behind these films is that Evil won't die....it keeps coming back....and sin fuels the evil.....its a simple concept really and works well with each sequel.

Summary: Not bad if you like Jason
Review: Out of the three big slashers Jason is my least favorite but I still watch his movies anyway. I am suprised by the amount of nudity in these movies. It's typical but it's the same plot as the three before it. Ther first two had no difference besides Mrs. Voorhees and Jason and the 3rd was in a different place. No change in the plot. The acting is the equivlent to a low budget kids movie. I also laugh at what they were thinking about naming two of their movies the last one. This one and the ninth are titled The Final chapter and the Final Friday. Tommy probably scarred his sister for life when he brutally slaughtered Jason's dead body. I thought that was weird for a kid to do something like that but if you think about it that was the right thing to do. Jason always gets back up and never gives up. Another thing I dislike about Jason's movies is the surviving characters are never in the series for much longer. Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street both have characters that are in it for awhile. This movie was a typical Jason flick and if you like them well this ones the same so you'll like it.

Review: Friday the 13th: the final chapter did the best at the box office AND is the best of the series. This takes place right after part 3. Jason's body is brought to the hospital to be cremated but while a guy tries to score with the nurse, Jason comes back to life and kills the two. Meanwile, the Javirs family goes to camp crystal lake. They meet six other kids who rented the cabin next door. Jason comes back to camp crystal lake and starts killing the kids and the Javirs family. This was a really cool movie woth a pretty cool ending. This is as close as horror films get to the first two Halloween films.

Summary: RISE AND DIE!
Review: This is the very first one I caught on tape. I rented it and watched it in the living room. This film really got me into all out blood and gore movies. Every death was great to watch and at times had me wondering how they did that. It's amazing that worked so hard to give Jason a proper send-off, but he came back. Thank You! I wanna direct one of these films, I'll give myself the first death and I'll make sure it is very graphic. When I watch these films, I find myself thinking of how Jason should have killed them, but my ideas were so gruesome, that if I submitted the script to the MPAA, they would shut the movie down immediately. Buy this film and watch the "death" of a legend.

Review: Not a bad "Friday the 13th" entry. Unless you can ignore all the typical bad acting, lame plotline and many cliches that has plagued this endless series. Despite all that, and the fact that was this supposed to be the final chapter(movie), it's still got enough gore and skimpy nudity to please a Jason fan. In fact, it's been hailed to be the best "Friday" film of them all. I would agree to that notion, if it was better tailored film. Honestly, I don't know why this was called the "Final Chapter", it's practically the same movie as other previous three "Friday" pics. Maybe it was just a lie to lure the audience to watch a "Friday" film one last time to order make more money. Whatever the reason, it's still a OK slasher pic. It gets better with repeated viewings. It may be a pain to indure this, but who cares? It's just a Jason movie, it wasn't made to win awards, it was made to give audiences a fun time. The story follows immediately after Part 3, where supposably "dead" Jason is taken to a morgue. Of course, he kills then escapes the hospital and ventures back to his home of Camp Crystal lake. He carves up more victims, and finds a foe in Tommy Jarvis, a child who tricks the unwitted Jason, and then kills him, right? Does Jason die? I know he comes back later in the other entries, but you may be surprised for all the people who hasn't seen this movie. Anyway, there are plenty of interesting kills by Jason. The first kill in the movie was great, he slit some morgue attendant's throat, then twisted his whole neck. Pretty cool. But like the previous "Friday" films, the film barely shows Jason. The movie almost masks his identity, except for the late half of the film. Just show him! People come to see Jason, not the stupid teenagers! Some of them are naked in the film by the way. Anyway, check out this "Friday", it's one of the better ones. But that's not saying much.

Review: This is 1 of the better ones in the series. Ive seen Friday the 13th Part 3,Part 4:the final chapter(this one),Part 7:the new blood,Part 8:Jason takes manhatten,Jason x,and Freddy Vs. Jason.
I wonder why they called it the final chapter? Because they have made 7 sequels since(if you include Freddy Vs. Jason).If you are just getting into the friday series,this is a good one to start with. The worst one ive seen is part 7,but they are all good

Summary: "He's killing me! Run, Trish!"
Review: Let's see... ten Friday the 13th movies plus Freddy Vs. Jason... eleven DVD's... about $20 a piece. That comes to about... hmm... well, it won't be cheap to buy every single entry into this series. But I am a proud owner of all eleven films on DVD (well, not really proud) and if you're starting a Jason collection of your own, I'd say this is the best one to start off with. Why you ask? Well, it's quite simple, really: this is the ULTIMATE Jason movie. The Final Chapter (a contradictory title, since it's only the fourth entry) has the most nudity, is pretty vulgar, has a climax that takes place during a dark, stormy night and features some of Jason's best kills. The only thing that rivals the axe through the door in this one is the infamous sleeping bag fatality in Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood. The Final Chapter was also the second movie to feature Jason sporting his hockey mask, but it's the FIRST one to feature another trademark: the long crack in the upper left hand side of the mask. You can thank the hysterical girl with the axe in the third film for that one. Last, but not least, we have Corey Feldman as the little kid who ultimately "kills" Jason and Crispin Glover who, as he puts it, is "so horny." Need I say more? It should come as no suprise to anyone that the DVD is pretty standard fare, despite how lucrative this franchise has been to Paramount in the past. Ah, well. At least every film in the series is anamorphically enhanced, which is something of a plus. The sound, unfortunately, is a big fat mono. Also featured is a typically cheesy 80's theatrical trailer for the film. The first film started it all, the second introduced Jason as the serial killer, the third gave Jason his hockey mask, the fifth didn't have Jason at all, the sixth was the funniest, the seventh featured the best death, the eight was the most well made (and also took Jason away from Crystal Lake for a while), the ninth supposedly sent him to Hell and the tenth had Jason in outer space. Who says there's no originality to these movies? *scoffs* But, as I said before, this one is the cream of the crop. The Final Chapter is the ultimate Jason movie. Highly recommended if you like this cinematic junk food. I, for one, get a kick out of it every time.
