Rating: Summary: The second best in the series. Review: Spoilers ahead.Read carefully! If it wasn"t for Jason Lives(the sixth chapter in the series),this would be the best in the saga.Director Joeseph Zito"s direction is top-notch and nearly as good as Tom McLoughlin"s,the writer and director of Jason Lives.Jason looks very cool with those black fingernails he is seen with throughout the film. The gruesome gore FX and Jason"s face make-up by Tom Savini are fantastic.Ted White"s performance as Jason is very good and almost as good as Kane Hodder"s(Jason in parts 7-9) and the acting and script is very good,as usual. The only problems with the film is that you don"t see Jason as often as you did in the first three, and the film needs to be much longer than it already is. The film can also be a lot bloodier(I love blood and gore in horror films just to let you know.) Overall, this is an excellent chapter in the series and the second best.Hardcore blood "n" guts fans should definitely check this one out. There"s just one thing that puzzles me-why the hell is it called the "Final Chapter" when it isn"t even the final chapter! Rated R-contains gore galore, lots o" nudity and strong language.
Rating: Summary: GOOD BUT NOT AS GOOD AS THE EIGHTH ONE Review: I LIKED THIS ONE BUT JASON TAKES MANHATTAN WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE MOVIE.THIS ONE HAD GOOD SCARES! I WAS REALLY FREAKED OUT.COREY FELDMAN WENT CRAZY AT THE END! THIS ONE HAD MORE SEX AND VIOLENCE THEN THE REST.THAT'S GOOD.GET THIS MOVIE
Rating: Summary: look again...HE's not dead Review: part 4 is easily one of the most entertaining to watch, mainly because it was originally supposed to be the death of jason but it becomes apparent that no one can ever stop him. even though none of the films in the series ever reaches the caliber of part 8, this one can definately hold its own because it was supposed to be final, but no one can ever kill jason.
Rating: Summary: FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 4 Is Great! Review: I thought the fourth entry to the FRIDAY THE 13th series was excellent. One of the better Jason films. Plot is the same as the first three, only we have a 12-year old horror film fanatic, beautiful twin sisters who go skinny-dipping, and a mysterious stranger who hunts Jason down because he killed his sister. Everything about this movie worked for me, but I still can't figure out why the hell they call it THE FINAL CHAPTER?
Rating: Summary: Good for what it is. Review: Though pretty much the same as the first three Friday the 13th films and even containing the same ideas (teenagers at lakeside are butchered, body is thrown through window, boring 'romance' scenes), this rather misleadingly-titled entry into the series has a much darker and more sinister atmosphere. The direction is first-rate and there are some genuine shocks, Jason Voorhees at his most terrifying. The film is also helped by the presence of some new characters - a 12-year old horror enthusiast, a forester out to find Jason and avenge the death of his sister). It's just a pity more of a plot couldn't have been inserted.
Rating: Summary: A medioca film, nothing special. Review: So, you thought THE FINAL CHAPTER was going to be the last? Well thats what audiences were led to believe. This film is nothing special, the ending is okay but why oh why was it called the final chapter when there were a few more Jason films made?
Rating: Summary: An embarrassment to the horror film industry Review: I hired this film purely for the fact that the main character, the psychotic Jason would finally get his comeuppance. I also hoped and prayed in my mind and for the writers that this would turn out to be a better sequel for them and that they could be remembered for classics and not for embarrassing films. Unfortunately my prayers went to waste! The storyline is exactly the same. Despite warnings of the notorious camp innocent lovers, friends and others enter the cap only to be slain by the seemingly invincible Jason Voorhees. This time Tommy (Corey Feldman his debut movie) is the one determined to stop the psychotic fiend once and for all after his mother is brutally murdered by the killer. Can Jason be stopped once and for all? "We will see"
Rating: Summary: ok, their dead, oooh look, dead bodies, yee haw. Review: oh i didn't know that was going to happen, not. as Corey Feldman said in this movie, this series needs to "DIE DIE DIE! "
Rating: Summary: A slasher film that ended a good thing(seemingly) Review: I thought the best part of this film was that it was supposed to be the "Final Chapter".Now don't get me wrong,I enjoyed the other numerous sequels, but I,along with a lot of other people, thought it should have been over.Aside from that,it was actually a very well made film. The cinematography was great as well as the makeup and splatter effects by makeup god Tom Savini.Overall,a very good movie in a series that had just run its course, much the same way Nightmare On Elm Street and Halloween did.
Rating: Summary: Jason is becoming a bit of a pest Review: Pretty much the same story as the rest, nothing terrible interesting. This was supposed to be the last in the series, only it managed to be followed by five sequels. The entire series not really worth having a look at.
