Rating: Summary: The Final Chapter ? .............YEA RIGHT! Review: Ok, this one was probably the third best of all the Friday the 13th movies. The acting in this film is superb and the special FX are top notch. Well after Jason gets An Axe in the head at the end of part 3 they take him to the morgue where he ( yea you guessed it) wakes up and kills the 2 remaining people in the morgue and heads back to Camp Crystal Lake to shed more teenage blood. Tobe Hooper did all the FX in this film , making it one of the most violent in the series. But it adds nothing new to the series Just another mindless slaughterfest. I like the way this ones though. Check it out its a very entertaining movie.
Rating: Summary: jason returns Review: if you're a real f13 fan then this one won't disappoint. tom savini's gory makeup effects are in top form here & jason is all 100% brutality in it. he slices & dices his way thru the camp like he's got a master's degree in serial killing. look out for some familiar faces. crispin glover is really funny & corey feldman is the hero. the scene where he "kills" jason is pretty intense. this movie makes "scream" look like "the tigger movie". don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: Terrible! Review: This was the worst of the FRIDAY THE 13ths! Except for the gore, and Jason's gruesome (yet, entertaining in a scary way) slayings, this film literally SUCKED! This one just wanted to do the same as the previous two, in bringing Jason back to kill some more teens. Enough! Enough! I'm glad this really wasn't "The Final Chapter" because it would have been a terrible ending to a frightening horror saga :)
Rating: Summary: BEST,"FRIDAY THE 13TH" ! Review: "FRIDAY THE 13TH 4:THE FINAL CHAPTER",IS THE BEST AND SCARIEST "FRIDAY THE 13TH" THERE IS AND EVER WILL BE.I LOVED JASON'S DEATH SCENE IT HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST "SUPPOSED" DEATH SCENE IN ALL OF THE "FRIDAY THE 13TH" FILMS.EVEN THOUGH IT IS OBVIOUSE THAT "PARAMOUNT" WAS TRYING TO CASH IN ON THE SUCCES OF THE FIRST THREE "FRIDAY THE 13TH'S",THIS ONE HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST HORROR FLICKS I'VE EVER SEEN.THIS FILM IS A MUST FOR ALL HORROR FILM FANS ,AND THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE HORROR MAY NOT ENJOY IT.
Rating: Summary: Jason's second best teen shishkabob! Review: Along with Part 6,this is my favorite of the series.Jason really chills in this one.The teens in this one are unbearable, but Jason takes care of 'em! This is easily the goriest of the whole series, topping over Part 1.Tom Savini returns and improves his already brilliant Special F/X.Jason's horribly ugly face make-up,the neverending gore and all his other work makes this awesome. The special F/X are a treat. The scene where Jason was macheted in the head was wonderfully executed and was an awesome scene. The acting and writing is above-average,the characters are believeable and likeable (cept those teens!) and Joe Zito's direction is top-notch and is second only to Tom McLoughlin. The film is very scary indeed.Such as when the girl looks out the window and sees rain, but she has a feeling someone's out there.Just when she leaves,Jason pops out and throws her out of the window just when you though you were hearing things! Ted White is also pretty good at the role of Jason, but can't live up to Kane Hodder.Overall, this is an excellent entry in the series and my second favorite of 'em all.Buy this along with Part 6.Gore fans, don't miss this! Rated R for gore galore, strong sexual content, strong language and some drug use.
Rating: Summary: Is Jason still alive? Review: This movie failed to both shock me or suprise me. It was watchable though but it just doesn't feel like one of the FRIDAY movies. I think as more sequels appear, the real camp crystal lake murders fade into the background. They keep saying that the location of this movie is Camp Crystal Lake but it looks nothing like it. It would be cool if there were some of the original features. If I were you just stick with the first 2 movies.
Rating: Summary: the best of the series in its own right Review: The Friday the 13th movies is series where you have to keep it out of mind that what you're watching is fact a series. Even the first film was bashed by critics, contrary to popular belief, Halloween and F13th were NOT the first slasher movies, even back then, we had already seen this before. However, in its own right, this forth installment is the best all-around. The blood is the redest, the characters are the deepest, and Jason is the creepiest. It's basically the same old formula, a group of teenagers come to Camp Cystal Lake, they get killed, a couple of them survive, and they effectively hinder Jason. We saw this in the previous two movies and something very similar in the first. However, like I said, to appreciate any of these films you have to look at them all in the same light, imagine that they all came out on the same day, and then, by examining each one, pick the best. And this one, is the best. The closest is number 8, Jason takes Manhatten, which was actually somewhat interesting since it took place on a boat and on the streets of New York rather than the woods, but that movie was so incredibly bogged down by its sequel status that it is very difficult to appreciate its originality, which sort of makes part four the best in the series by default. As I said, there's is nothing original here, but it's still a good re-hash.
Rating: Summary: More hockey-masked terror! Review: I love these movies. We watch these films for obviousreasons...gory deaths and nudity! And the filmmakers keep putting thisstuff in the series because they know these are the reasons we see them. We're not looking for a great story or three-dimensional characters. We're looking for bare-skin and intestants. And this installment delivers. Not as bloody as the 3rd, but pretty close. One of the most popular scenes in the movie is Jason's death (temporary) scene. Tom Savini really did a wonderfull job. Overall this is a very entertaining installment, with classic Harry Manfredini music and moody atmosphere.
Rating: Summary: Peter Barton Review: Peter Barton in the shower, What more could you want in a movie? He's Perfect! *wolfette whistles*
Rating: Summary: The second best Review: Warning-some spoilers ahead. This is the best of the first four F13th films and the second best entry in the series.Director Joe Zito"s direction is great and is nearly as good as Tom McLoughlin"s direction, who was the writer and director of the excellent Jason Lives. This film is arguably the goriest and most violent of the sequels, even bloodier than the original film.Tom Savini,make-up artist for the original Friday The 13th returns and does a wonderful job.Jason'sgross looking face make-up,the gruesomely realistic gore FX and all the other special FX make this one great, especially the scene where Jason gets machetted in the head.Terrific FX! Ted White is also great as Jason and gives off a wicked performance, though he definitely isn"t as good as Kane Hodder, who is without a doubt the best Jason actor yet.Overall, this is a very well- done entry in the series and one of the best. The confrontation between Tommy and Jason at the end is incredible too.I only have a couple of complaints about the film-I really wish you could have seen Jason more often and the film could"ve been longer. And although sickingly gory,It"s always a treat to have more gore in horror films. I also HIGHLY recommend that hardcore gore fans with a REALLY strong stomach take the time to see this. It"s a pleasant and enjoyable surprise indeed.Rated R-contains gore galore, strong language and tons of nudity.
