Summary: This barely reached the four star mark
Review: Overall I must admitt this movie was not all that bad. It has it's flaws but overall delivers an effective tale. Pinhead is back to torture more humans but this time Kirsty Cotton (Ashley Lawrence) is back to fight him. Not quite. You see in the very beggining she dies in a car wreck. Ooh that can damper any good vs evil plans. From there the movie spirals into a weird world where the main man Trevor (Dean Winters) is suffering from a major concussion and is having very strange dreams while "getting it on" with about every girl he meets. Pinhead plays a small role once again but a larger role than in Inferno. However like the first two and inferno there is no reference to the biblical hell that three and four tried to pull off, instead it is more in the realm that Clive Barker had origionally intended. This one will not please fans just as Inferno did not please fans. However if you are in the mood for some really strange stuff, and a dark yet compelling tale, than this is the way to go. However if you love three and four, well lets just say you better put the black leather and chains away because this film is not like those two.

Summary: The Dark Mystery Returns To This Franchise At Last.......
Review: This movie, like the previous entry in the series (Inferno), continues the series' return to form. Both movies loosely resemble the first two films rather than the middle two. For this, we should be utterly grateful. Hellraiser three and four were shameless "bean counter" flicks that ultimately disgraced this fine series. At first glance, Hellseeker to closely resembles Inferno. While it is true the plots are incredibly similar, make no mistake-Hellseeker is the better movie. Only by a small margin, though. While not completely up to par with the first two films, this is a good continuation of the Hellraiser mythos. I like the direction they are taking, going back to mindset that Pinhead is a major character, but not the basis of the movie itself. That's a major fault of the middle two films. Luckily, the last two have corrected this and have put the series back on track. All in all, another fine chapter in this ongoing series. Enjoy!

Summary: Good but no great
Review: This film had been generating alot of talk in the cult
of Hellraiser for sometime; and understandably so- it
returns Ashely Laurence as Kirsty Cotton, the heroine from
the first two installments of the Hellraiser saga. And it was
rumored that Imogen Boorman was to reprise her Tiffany role, but that was not to be.
Hellraiser VI focuses on Kirsty's husband Trevor, and is
very surreal; it is much in the vein of Jacob's Ladder- it's about a man who doesn't quite know where he is or what has
happened to him.
But this is one of the big flaws with this film, it's too surreal for it's own good. The audience never gets to learn the motives of its main character, which is pretty integal to the whole story; we're never let in on the details of Trevor's and Kirsty's relationship. Alot of things are implied, but there are no clear answers.
Another flaw is that the Kirsty Cotton character was not thought through well. Someone here said that the character was added at the last minute in the script, and it definitely shows. Personally, I have no problems with Kirsty getting so little screen time because the story was not about her. But she did things that were inconsistant with her character. In one sceen where Pinhead confronts her, and tells her he wants her soul, Kirsty replies "Uh... You want my soul?", as if she doesn't know what's instore for her with the cenobites! Knowledge she most definitely should have.
The film does succeed in showing us that heroines do have their flaws, a negative personality trait in this case; and it does change a perspective on the Kirsty Cotton character.
Overall a competant entry in the Hellraiser saga, but not on the level as the first two movies.

Summary: What Happened To Our Hellraising Pinhead?
Review: Alright folks, is Pinhead getting too old to kick [...]? Although Hellseeker differs from the original Hellraisers{in my opinion 1,2,and 3} it does carry an interesting storyline. You might have to watch it twice to catch things you might miss through the first viewing. This movie lacks the strong gore of 1-3, but does have some scenes that will make you squirm. It is also very similar to Inferno. True Hellraiser fans should add it to there collection, but be pre-warned Pinhead raises no hell. Like Inferno he doesn't even show his presence until half of the movie is over. Oh, by the way fellas, is it just me or does Ashley Laurence look hotter than hell in this Hellraiser? That's a good reason to watch it all together! Rated R for adult language, graphic violence, sexual content, and brief nudity.

Summary: losing faith
Review: Will the real pinhead please stand up? This series is starting to lose me abit. Just who is the real pinhead anyway? Is he the monstrous entity we saw in 1-4 or the preacher man we get in inferno and this film? Personally, i liked the old pinhead better.
Like inferno, hellseeker sees fit to give pinhead 5 minutes of screen time so he can pontificate to some morally bankrupt shmoe. And there are the cenobites. Ceno-whats? You mean those guys pinhead drags around that you might miss if you close your eyes for a second. oh, i digress.
The plot is decent enough but again, a little more of the hellraiser mythology in there would have been nice.
Kirsty (1,2, briefly in 3) is in the car with her husband and it goes over a cliff. The husband awakens and his wife is missing. Is she dead? On the bottom of the lake perhaps? Did she just want to get a way from it all or is she hding somewhere? And hey, why are all these women all over our confused hero? And why are they dying? The best friend..acting a little stange..whats up with that? And the cops...those darn cops. whoa! Thats my skull your cutting off there doctor!
This is one bizarre film and for that it gets 3 stars. Its one of those movies that could have been really, really good. Instead its average.

Summary: Hellraiser 6: Hellseeker - A Good Sequel!
Review: In my opinion, Hellraiser 1 and 2 were the best in the series. This new entry into the Hellraiser films, Hellraiser 6, lives up to parts 1 & 2.

The things that I was looking for, in Hellraiser 6, was Pinhead and Kirsty confronting each other, and another Hellraiser Tale about someone trying to out-wit the Cenobites, but always losing to them in the end. Hellraiser 6 did both of these things and that is why I think it is a Good Sequel. It was a real treat to see Ashley Laurence bring this series back to life again!

Ashley Laurence is in the movie for a longer amount of time, than I was lead to believe. Her character's scenes actually reveal the twists and turns of the movie and they are important elements in the plot. Doug Bradley looks like he's gotten a little too chubby, and that makes Pinhead look different. Things from Hellraiser 1 were added as a homage or were re-used as plot elements to enhance the movie.

Hopefully there will be a Hellraiser 7 (with Pinhead and Kirsty included).

Summary: You have to be kidding
Review: I purchased the new Hellseeker on the basis that it was the latest installment in the series, and I must say that it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. The movie lacks just about everything. The story line in not written well, and the acting is terrible.

Overall, the movie will put anyone to sleep. So, if you are an insomniac and can't sleep- I highly recommend Hellseeker, but if you want to spend your time watching a more quality horror film, I recommend one of the first two Hellraiser films. Hellseeker is a waste of money (to make and to buy). Look elsewhere.

Summary: not what i thought it would be!!!!
Review: I bought this movie before I saw merely because Kirsty was returning, and thought that it would be a great movie, but it wasn't. Although I do own every Hellraiser that they have made, I personally don't agree with the direction the filmmakers have taken with the series. I would rather them stick with what the first two installments was about. I will say that the acting of this movie was great, but the story line was a bit poor. I was I guess hoping for Kristy's character to save her husband, or save someone, instead of the direction it did take. For those who haven't seen it yet, I won't give the ending. I believe that the true Hellraiser fans will be a bit disappointed with this one, as it tries to incorperate the other hellraisers and then tries not to refer to them. I guess of fear that whom ever will watch this movie won't be left out if they haven't seen the rest of the series. Even though I was a bit disappointed with this installment, I would have to say that this movie was quite better than bloodline or inferno. See it if your curious.

Summary: Hellriaser gone to Heck
Review: This inchoherent film lacks the horror and the tension of the previous Hellraiser Films (1-4). Ashley Lawrence is only briefly in the movie. Dean Winters looks like he'd rather be back in Oz. Doug Bradley (Pinhead) looks like he is just happy to be working. But do not be decieved, there is not a lot of Pinhead in this movie until near the end--and only then does it seem like like Pinhead isn't a sharp as he has been. I wish Clive Barker would get an injunction against these guys.

Caveat: As a film spawns more sequels--it loses steam and credibility.

Summary: Almost exactly like Inferno with a much better ending
Review: This movie has pretty much the same story line as Hellraiser Inferno. To me the movie was very predictible if you have seen Inferno. Kirsty barely got any screen time. I found the movie sypnosis very misleading. The acting was very good, and of course Doug Bradley gets 5+ stars for his portrayal as Pinhead. I heard on a website that Kirsty's character wasn't added till right before the film was ready to shoot, and once you watch the movie you will be able to tell. The only thing that did not make me give the movie one star was the ending. I am not going to be blower and blow it away, but it was an incredible ending. The ending will make up for most of the movie. You have to watch it once. I think they should make another one but this time have Kirsty in the whole movie.
