Summary: why would it have a plot?
Review: The reason this movie has no plot is because the plot to all horror movies is the motive and leatherface had no motive he was just a chainsaw wielding basketcase with a craving for human flesh. If leatherface would have had a motive he wouldn't have seemed so insane and sane killers aren't even half as scary as insane killers. (the best way to watch this movie is an old rented copy make sure the picture quality looks like $hit)

Summary: one of the best horror films ever made
Review: the low budget nature of this film enhances the claustrophobic atmosphere when the killing starts, a real shocker!

Summary: Stop verbally trashing great films
Review: This movie has gotten both good and bad reviews. While this film is not as violent as made out to be, it's still pretty bloody. But the violence that it does have puts you in the perspective of the character experiencing it. Be it Marilyn Burns or the infamous Leatherface. Unlike other horror films, and believe me i've seen a lot, this one puts you in the action. Even though i was weaned on movies like Scream, i have a liking for classics such as this. One of the greatest movies of all time.

Summary: An absolute classic of it's genre.
Review: For the serious horror fan this film stands the test of time over and over again. Made 25 years ago it has an almost your along for the ride feel to it. From the start with it's documentary type narration a few complain the film moves to slow, but that is part of it's subtle perfection. Take a slow lazy summer days ride into the night , and the abyss of unforgiving insanity. An uncompromising look into the realm of a family consumed by madness and the unlucky few that cross paths with them. In 1999 we are a careful society, wary of strangers, but cars run low on gas, they break down on the roadside. Who do we suppose lives down that old dirt road? Do we go looking for help? In 1974 Tobe Hooper answered those questions in a surreal and to date unmatched masterpiece.

Summary: Mindless rubbish
Review: Probably the most facile and overrated movie of its genre. Idiotic plot. Tired tension building sequences and juvenile script combine to make this one of the most over-rated films ever produced.

Summary: One of the greats
Review: I'm writing from the UK where the film is STILL banned, luckily picking one up on the "black market" is pretty easy. What can I say,its one of the greats, pure, raw horror, part 2 is worth a look, almost a black comedy with Dennis Hoppers manic performance!!Its a pity Tobe Hoopers films since have been so poor e.g Lifeforce and the dreadfull Spontaneous Combustion.

Summary: BEWARE!
Review: When I first saw it, I felt burn inside me and was shaking the whole times eventually threw up. I had real, real bad dream couldn't sleep well for several days. To be honest with you that this was one of the most terrified movie I ever seen for a long time. If you are looking for solid gruesome horror film then I recommend to check this out. Beware it's not what you expect, it what you will be surprise. Brace yourself or else.

Summary: This is the best movie ever made!!!
Review: This movie was loosly inspired (as was Psycho and Deranged) by the serial killer Ed Gein. This movie has cannabalism, murder, and all sorts of cool things. It inspired many other people to start making slasher movies. It is very graphic but also very well thought out. Very low budget and spawned 3 sequels. A must see.

Summary: Wow! Can you do that?
Review: I liked this movie. But, only after a lot of thinking. This is a mucked up movie whichleaves you with a strange feeling in your stomach. But it is still very good for being so different. A break from the norm. The DVD is especially good with all the extras.
