Rating: Summary: As good as the original! Review: When this film came out I couldn't wait to see it! And my anxiety wasn't in vain cuz this is one tight movie! Picking up where Scream left off, Sydney is now in college and has moved on since the murders in Woodsboro. At a showing of Stab something goes terribly wrong though... Scream 2 has just as many surprises and thrills as Scream does. I do wish they would have more features on the DVD though! The picture is pretty clear and the sound is awesome. Once again Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox do a great job in their leading roles.
Rating: Summary: Scream 2 Review Review: I think Scream 2 was great. I also saw Scream 3. You want to know the weird part, I saw Scream 3 first, then I saw Scream 2, and I never saw Scream! But I'm dying to see it. Scream 2 is about the survivors from Scream. New characters were also added to the list. In the movie, Sidney, with new boyfriend Derek(when I saw this movie, to me he was a suspect), Randy, and some of their friends get attacked by another killing series. For those of you who never saw this, I don't want to tell you everything, because I don't want to give out too much info. For example, I don't want to tell you if there's one/two killers, and/or who it/they are. All I'm gonna say, is this was a great movie! And I think you'll like it. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SCARY MOVIE!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Number 2 Is Actually Better Than the First! Review: Or so they say in "Scream 2", the sequel that issurprising better than the first one. While scares are low and bodycount is high, "Scream 2" becomes better than the firstbecause it focuses on telling the story other than tring to scare us without a plot. The script is higher quality and the acting is too.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing sequel lacks the style of Scream I Review: Sidney is back, and being persecuted again. The best thing in this film is the opening sequence starring the fabulous Jada Pinkett. From there however, the film goes steadily downhill. Even Rebecca Gayheart can't save this one. One of the main problems I had with the film, was the casting of Sidney's boyfriend. He is completely unlikeable fratish jockish dull, I could go on. His character is completely unlikeable. The killings are more elaborate, yes. But the film goes on TOO long, and the play within the movie really sucked and just detracted from the film. There are a few tense moments, such as when Gail Weathers is being chased by the killer, but overall, not much tension. I won't reveal the end, but believe me the identity of the killer this time is completely ridiculous. A weak effort overall.
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Sequel! Review: The perfect sequel for a stunning trilogy. It is like a movie of it's own it doesn't keep going back to the original. If you liked the first one for sure you will love this. It has a shocking ending like the others. No other sequels are superior to the original as this one is.It is for sure the best thriller around. It picks up right where it left off.Very realistic. Nothing like those boring Halloween sequels. It is new and untold. Breathe taking and a Clever thought!
Rating: Summary: A sequel worth talking about Review: It's a few years later and Sidney and Randy are in collage trying to forget the past. Sidney even has a new boyfriend. One thing that doesn't help is that there is a movie out called Stabwhich is based on the events that happened to her, another thing is two people where murdered in the sneak preview to stab. The murders bring in all the reporters, including Gale Weathers who brings along Cottin Weary, the man wrongly accused of the murder of Sidneys mother. Dewey comes along because he is worried for Sidney. The body count appears to rise and it seems someone wants to make a real life sequel. But who? Boyfriend Derek? Room Mate Hally? Video geek Randy? Friend Mickey? Cici? Gale? Dewey? Cottin? Everyone is a suspect. I didn't think it would be possable but it was, yes Scream 2 ended up being better then the first part. Scream 2 is alot like the first one, a killer or two is running around killing people. No one knows who it is. The movie is about sequels, a film class discuss sequels and try and think up a better sequel. Wes Craven does a great job with the direction of this movie, there are plenty of well timed shocks and loads of suspenceful chase scenes. Another job he does well is the direction of Stab, the movie with in a movie, it is purposly directed badly with makes it funny to watch. Scream 2 is also well acted and longer then the first with a better twist at the end, it has more gore then before. Over all I loved Scream 2, ALOT.
Rating: Summary: Scream 2 is GREAT,- but not as original as first. Review: Scream 2, starring Neve Campbell (like usual), David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and featuring cameos by modern 'Scream-Queen' Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jada Pinkett Smith, and more... is a great modern, '90s horror flick (although it's not exactly really terrifying), and has an EXCELLENT cast, - but Scream 2 just doesn't have that exciting, original, fun , and chilling feeling that the first one is filled with. The third Scream is better than this one I thought, (although it is even less scary than this one), but the first one remains at the top! See Scream today, - it is a great, fun film to see at sleep-overs, parties, etc. - But do not be in any rush to see Scream 2.
Rating: Summary: Not quite as good as the origanal Review: This movie wasnt quite as good as the origanal but it sure matched up.A very worthy sequal starts out with a young couple at the movie theatre for a preview of the upcoming movie Stab. Little does the young couple know their being stalked by killers and are their next perpetual targets. The killers have decided that they want to make a sequal to the movie Stab both on the big screen and in real life. The killers are finaly put to rest in a spinetingleing climax to this well scripted, acted, and directed movie. So sit back relax and enjoy the show but be careful that your boyfriend dosent come back wearing the killers mask because you never know who it could be under there.
Rating: Summary: Teenage crime is adult manipulation Review: This second film by Wes Craven until this title goes even beyond the first one. Everything is MORE. More complicated, more intricate, more interlaced, more interwoven, more psychic, etc. And he starts with a discussion on the impact of violent films on young people and their supposed influence into making young people criminals. In fact the film is a marvelous demonstration that this is not possible, this is not valid, this is not acceptable. In this case the young man who starts a criminal career is manipulated by a mother, by a grown-up, by an adult. And it is when an adult is manipulating young people that real violence starts because it is a lot more elaborate, a lot more extreme, and it has a real motivation. It is not en entertaining adventure, or a freetime activity. It is a project with a goal and an objective, generally absolutely abject. In fact Wes Craven defends his own job and illustrates very well that young people are not criminal, except maybe when they are in a way or other rejected, but they are manipulated weapons in the hands of adults. It is symbolic of the fact that adult society creates criminal teenagers and young people. Wes Craven also defends the field of his activity, that is to say fantastic and horror multimedia literature. It is a symbolic way for young people to learn to know death without having to come across it in the extreme forms that we have known : the World Wars, the Shoah, colonial wars, and even today, though in a more limited way, post-colonial wars and ethnic conflicts. Young people need death to grow up, and literature, drama or the cinema give them this mediated experience that can enable them to cathartically mediate their own instincts. The Greek play in the film is there to show the eternity of this need. So, this second film is a thriller like the first one, but even more than the first one it is a mirror reflection of and on young people, the generation that is going to become of age in the first years of the twenty-first century. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU, Paris Universities II and IX.
Rating: Summary: BORING!! Review: This movie is not any good! But if you like violence and blood, then you would like it and also to mention that Sarah M.Geller is in the movie! But she is so dumb to be alone at college and keeps cursing at the "killer" on the phone I mean hang up and call 911! Well, you'll see....
