Summary: What can I say
Review: This film is terrifying. I am a big Hitchcock film and this is a wonderful film this and Strangers on a Train our my Hitchcock favorites. It truly deserves the 19 spot on the 100 best and maybe even under that. Watch the famous shower scene and then take a shower. Ok

Summary: "A BOY'S BEST FRIEND IS HIS MOTHER"
Review: A chilling classic by Sir Alfred Hitchcock. The best horror film ever made, but Psycho is more than a slice em up flix, it's a horrifying character study. Anthony Perkins is too convincing as the disturbed Norman Bates, who hides from life's realities behind his mother's shadow. The plot is simple, but it's the interplay between the characters, camera shots, music, and atmosphere that make this film one of the ten best, if not the very best. Infact, this film is so great that when it was released a mother wrote to Hitchcock saying her daughter refused to take a shower after seeing the movie. An absolute masterpiece!

Summary: Not too scary!
Review: People, I know its hard to believe, but it wasn't that amazing. The guy isn't a part of her life. He just shows up when she's taking a shower and starts knifing away. And the way the arm moves- it looks like one of those moving cardboard cut- outs that wave "hi" when you pass a cheesy restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I know some people think I must be a complete moron to say all of this, but that's your problem, an I'm entitled to my own opinion, anyway. Right after I saw the movie, I just took a SHOWER- no, I wasn't scared of my own bathroom- and went to bed.

Summary: Hitchcock In Control!!
Review: Alfred Hitchcock is in top form in this landmark film. In this film "he" is in total control and willingly manipulates his audience on a roller coaster ride few have taken before. Even in the "Psycho" trailer , which is shown in revival houses, Hitchcock is compulsive again..with the audience..with his macabre sense of terror. Bernard Herrman,s unique film score is the final exclamation point ! CP

Summary: Simply A Masterpiece!!
Review: Alfred Hitchcock's "PSYCHO" is simply a masterpiece about a disturbed young boy, and his mother... Life is hard for Marion Crane, a young woman struggling to earn money to marry her boyfriend, Sam Loomis. They both agree that paying off debts will postpone their marriage. So one day after seeing Sam, she embezzles $40,000 from her employer. She leaves Phoenix to return to Sam with the new money in Fairvale. On the drive, she becomes suspicion by a cop, and exchanges her car. That night, the rain gets to her and she pulls into the Bates Motel, off the deserted highway. She befriends Norman Bates, who runs the vacancy by himself. He lives in an old mansion with his "mother" behind the motel. While taking a shower that night, Marion is stabbed to death by a dark, womanly figure. Afterward, Norman cleans up the scene, then deposits Marion's corpse and belongings into a swamp. Lila Crane, the victim's sister, searches for Marion in Fairvale with Sam. A private detective Arbogast, is hired to find the money, by the owner. With arousing suspicion around Norman, Arbogast is murdered by the same, dark woman. Lila and Sam then check into the motel, in hopes to find any clues about Marion's disappearance. What they find about Norman and "mother" is even more shocking... Being called a landmark in cinema history, this movie shocked audiences back in 1960. The camera angles and the eiree atmosphere give this film that name. -Joey Layou Jr.

Summary: A Movie Masterpiece
Review: The first time I viewed this film was on television in the early seventies, N.B.C, I think. I was 10 years old and was forced to sleep with my parents because of its shocking effect. Everthing in this film is spooky. The facial expressions on Janet Leigh as she is driving toward her inevitable doom, the erie closeup of the patrole cop, the shadow of mother walking by the window is what really gets to me. Hitch was a genius with sound. The music is obviously screeching with terror, but notice the quiet moments with the rain, very curiosly unnerving at times. I love the overhead shot of the detective about to be slaghtered, simply brilliant from start to finish. Vera Miles is adequit as the confused and troubled sister, as is Gavin I suppose. Perkins is totally convincing as Norman, almost to the point where he almost overshadows everything else. His portrayl is legendary and will go down as one of the best by far. Certainly one of top 10 best films of all time.

Summary: This film is on of the greatest movies of all time.
Review: This Hitchcock classic is by far one of the 10 best films in all history. Having terrific macabre, Psycho is one of the most important films in all time as well. If not for this film, movies today would not be as mature or horrifyingly advanced as they are today. This film is what started the break away from La-La land in the 50's and let people get in touch with real life. Psycho is actually a true story. All of the pandimonium happened there once. It is also the most authentic film ever with it in theaters in 1960, nobody was allowed to walk into the theaters after the lights fade. That is the only fil where something like that was done. Don't judge this film on the 1998 remake, the remake does not even come close to living up to the original.

Summary: A horror classic!!!
Review: Psycho is a great movie!!! Hitchcock made an extremely scary movie without the blood and guts. He gave you suspense and chills. He used great camera and sound effects to intensify the infamous "shower scene." I haven't seen the remake, but how could anyone remake a classic?!? I have heard that they redid every shot. But the fact that Hitchcock didn't show everything, left much to the imagination. He made a movie that made people so scared they never wanted to take a shower in a empty house, let alone in a secluded motel. I don't believe that any other director has done that since Psycho. It is a classic that everyone should watch.
