Review: The thing that is so great about this movie is that Alfred Hitchcock has taken somewhat of a childish plot and turned it into a great suspenseful psycholigical movie. It is definetly the greatest Horror Flick that has ever been made. It is a unreplicateble movie. It is a must see for any movie fan. It is sure to be loved by anyone.

Summary: a classic that is often imitated
Review: psycho remains to this day a classic horror film. I wish to say that the overall effectiveness of the film is not in how much blood and gore is emphasized, or how many poeple are killed off, but by the clever suspenseful effectiveness of the film itself. some persons cite "tame violence" this is not the issue. There have been many films to come along with much more blood and graphic violence but they are often dull, silly and not scary at all. Gore and violence does not make a film scary or effective, just gory and violent. Halloween which many consider to be outstanding and very scary had very little violence and no bloody scenes. scariness and terror are not measured in excessive violence but rather in the eerie unkonwn and clever direction and character study in a film. Watch psycho and you'll see how effective it remains in the face of buckets of blood. Buy the way I have not yet seen the remake, but i'm not holding my breath.
