Summary: Try This!
Review: It's amazing how a movie made 39 years ago can still have impact through the watchers. I mean, I am 17, the special-effects-blockbuster-movie generation. Therefore, I shouldn't get terrified and impressed with acient movies. But I was! The plot is amazing and surprising. The camera views are really impreessive. Loved it!

Summary: Hitchcock - the master of suspense
Review: Good films don't need expensive fx or well known actors. For more closer info's about his films read: a book-interview between A.H. & Francois Truffaut - great !

Summary: The movie which set the standard for horror films!
Review: Gus Van Sant recently decided to remake this film, but he chose to copy the original shot for shot and use Hitchcock's same sets and camera angles. Why? Because he knew that there was no way he could improve it!! This is without a doubt the best horror film of them all because it scares the life out of you without all the gore and stupidity of today's horror films. In fact, Hitchcock used black and white film to reduce the impact of the bloody shower scene. The real kicker is the performance by Anthony Perkins, which makes the movie the classic that it is. Don't bother with the new one, rent the original!!

Summary: still the best horror movie of them all!!
Review: many have tried to make another movie as scary as this but few have succeeded-maybe none. The acting is great, and how many of us take a shower without thinking about this movie? I still enjoy it and get the shivers whenever I see it. The untalented producers of slash movies should pay more attention to its simplicity and effectiveness

Summary: I haven't showered with my eyes closed since 1967!
Review: This is one of those movies that becomes a legend...generations of moviegoers have been showering with as little eye-shuttage as possible since its first showing! Excellent, excellent scary movie!

Summary: Irony of psychological madness
Review: never seen a mind fixing movýe like this before and I think I won't.It's a genious productýon of a genious mind of the father of horror movies whých makes you thýnk aboutyour self-psycho like being afraid about beýng kýlled and to want to be in place of Perkins,to taste the pleasure of killing. I also find the taste of Bunuel's ýrony that makes you thýnk about your socýal lýfe.

Summary: Hitchcock's Finest 1,000,000 stars!
Review: I'll keep this short. if you're looking for a horror movie that is still scary after the first time BUY THIS MOVIE! it does not wear out, it's scary thinking about it. I am getting goosebumps writing about it. If you think you've been scared you havent untill Psycho! Starring the ultimate mama's boy Norman Bates! I loved it so much I organised a showing in our town's theatre for hitch's b-day! This movie isn't rated R for gore or for language or the mother of all scenes, The Shower Scene! but for thematic elements! That's right boys and girls because of how scary it is! how many movies can say that? So if you're in the neighborhood for a scary movie this is it! If you think you're a mama's boy see this movie. It'll put mama's boys into a new perspective.

Summary: DEFINITELY FANTASTIC
Review: Man, what a movie. That was fantastics. The "shower scene" was great, and the mother's corpse was pretty weird, too. I thought it was pretty strange how the dude was pretty much two diferent people. It was absoloutly fantastic, anyone who hasn't seen it should go out right now and see it.

Summary: An immense achievement, still has power to shock
Review: I find Psycho quite enthralling more than 25 years after I first saw it. The scenes in Phoenix, Janet Leigh's traumatic drive through the desert and the build-up to the murder are extraordinarily effective. I agree with the earlier reviewer who said the movie's best scene is the one between Perkins and Leigh in the motel's back room. She has just driven in from the rain and he offers her sandwiches and milk. All's well so far. But then they start to discuss life, and the conversation and atmosphere become ever more creepy. Definitely one of the best 10 movies ever.
