Summary: One of the great slasher films of all time.
Review: This is the slasher that started all shalsher films. "Halloween" is the first and one of the best in the saga, followed by six sequels.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SCARY AND TERRIFYING, ONE OF THE CLASSIC THRILLERS
Review: I found HALLOWEEN to be one of the scariest movies I have ever seen it has terror, suspense and drama all in one. DONALD PLESANCE"S performance as well as JAMIE LEE CURTISI'S performance as the deranged micheal myer's sister is top notch as well. This movie is everything those FRIDAY THE 13th movies aren't. It doesn't rely on fake blood and guts effects either and relies more on a good storyline which makes it a horror classic, Definatley you'll want to leave the light on after you watch this film I gaurantee it,

Summary: One of the greatest horror films of all time, period.
Review: From the first stab of terrifying piano/organ music to the actual slashes of the deranged Michael Myers' knife, I was petrified. Even with a shockingly low budget, John Carpenter used superb camera angles and sounds to infinitley inhance a movie that would otherwise have been dull and mundane. Acting is top-notch, even the speechless killer has a seemingly tangible nature. A tour-de-force film. Definitley not for the young and scared.

Summary: Halloween Kicks
Review: One of the best horror/slasher films EVER made. It was no wonder that for many years it was the highest grossing independent film of all time. The cast is superb with an origenal storyline that has been copied, but never touched.

Summary: the best ever
Review: halloween is far superior than any wannabe horror movie they come out with. the myth that is michael myers along with jc's spine tingling music. you can't beat it. it's been imitated left and right but it is untouchable. the sequels are good but the first rules. you gotta love jamie lee.

Summary: All-Time Classic
Review: When I first saw halloween it scared me to death. I was amazed how by through the use of light contrast and music, a movie could terrify someone without having to use slasher gimmicks. As far as I'm concerned it's the greatest horror film ever made. END

Summary: The pioneer of modern horror films.
Review: Halloween is a masterpiece. Director John Carpenter has accented atmosphere and suspense, rather than blood and guts, this is what I think the key to the film. Though the story is tired, the visual part left me speechless. When I say that the story is tired I mean, baby-sitters, a man in a mask, a classic horror story. I have been to almost every Halloween site on the internet, and have learned the truth of the mask. It is only a Captain Kirk mask, painted white, side burns shaved off and the eye holes enlarged. I know why they choose it. The eerieness of the pale, emotionless face probably scared me the most. Go get this movie, or any of it's sequels from the video store and you'll know what I mean.

"Halloween is a merciless thriller, I would compare it to PHYSO."

Summary: KILLER!
Review: Halloween is by far the best horror movie in modern movie history. I never tire of watching it. I recently bought a double-cassette titled "Halloween-limited edition:10-31-78" which comes in a cool black vinyl cover with bright orange tapes. Tape 1 is a widescreen digitaly enhanced version of the film. Tape 2 is titled "Halloween unmasked" and includes current interviews with Jamie Lee Curtis, Debra Hill (producer) and Nick Castle (played Michael Myers in the orginal film) It was great to see how fond all involved still are of their memories of making this classic and all too often imitated film. I only saw parts 2 & 3 of all the sequels (don't bother with part 3)and up til the most recent (H20) have had no interest in the others-as far as I'm concerned, If Jamie Lee isn't in it, it doesn't matter. If you haven't seen it-DO IT! Or the boogeyman might get you!!! END

Summary: The definitive "Slasher Flick."
Review: All I can say about this one is WOW! I saw this for the first time when I was about 12 years old (in 1989) on a local TV station on Halloween day. This movie hooked me on the Horror Genre. Heralded as the first "Slasher Flick," this one has the content that this style of movie (unfortunately) lacks most of the time. Keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time with spine tingling suspense. I HIGHLY reccomend this movie to anyone interested in seeing a SUPERB Horror flick. END
