Summary: Kudos to Elite Entertainment's Special Edition
Review: Although a little pricy, this is a great disc and is worth the money. Unfortunately the audio commentary by Raimi and Tapert wasnt al that great, they rarely ever spoke, however the commentary from Campbell was a riot. The audio mix is great and the behind the scenes, deleated scenes and photo gallery was a real treat. This is what many "special editions" of movies strive to be but never make it. If you enjoy classic horror and the creative insight of the makers, get this disc!

Summary: Oooooooo Scary!
Review: This has got to be one of the best horror flicks ive ever seen. the visual effects are awsome. Blood is everywhere, and bodies being cut to pieces. This is definetley my idea of good horror. Yet there is also the funny side to this movie. The one demon girl sings in a little girl voice,"we're gonna get you, not another peep, its time to go to sleep" its very creepy and a perfect movie to watch with freinds.

Summary: A great movie but NOT! for the squeamish.
Review: The Evil dead is a great movie with plenty of scares and suspence But not for those who get sick easly. The demons seem to have more blood than phisicly possiable! It just keepes on coming out. Also there are sertain scenes that are in bad taste like when a woman gets raped by a tree! or when Ash gets raped by his decapitated girl friend and almost chokes on the blood spirting out of her neck. Otherwise it is a great movie and has some really effective and spooky scenes. If you really want a scare watch this movie alone with all the lights out. Or to laugh, watch with friends(for some reason its funny with company). You will love it if you like movies with bad taste. But if you don't like movies that show people washing their hands in thier own blood and other bodly fluids, stay away from this flick.

Summary: A Must-See For Zombie Movie Fans.
Review: Sam Raimi's quite underrated zombie masterpiece is based on a number of teenagers who spend the weekend at one of their uncle's house. Unknowingly, they release a curse from a tape recorder left at the house with a professor's voice on it, reading from a book of the dead that he had found. When the words on the tape are spoken by the professor, the evil curse is unleashed, terrorizing the teenagers and gradually turning them into the walking dead. Unlike the usuall cliche in most zombie movies, these zombies don't eat human flesh. Despite the poor quality of the footage, "The Evil Dead" has wonderful make-up special effects. Even though this is no "Night Of The Living Dead", "The Evil Dead" is sure to entertain and scare the viewers who watch it in generations to come.

Summary: You must buy! You must buy! You must buy!
Review: If you love Evil Dead and the sequels, you'll love this DVD. The commentary by Sam and Rob is awesome, but even theirs doesn't rival Bruce's. He gives you a different look at parts of the movie, with notes on how effects are done, screw up, and the like. You absolutely have to see this DVD!

Summary: The beggining of a series that is a must for horror fans
Review: Raimi has gathered bits and pieces from many classics(Susperia,Night of the Living Dead, etc.)and created a movie that was meant to do one thing;scare the living pants off you. But what I found best of all was that you had fun as well. Bruce Campbell's Ash was one of the best "man put in a series of impossible situations" characters that I have see in a long, long time. And name me one movie that you have ever seen a woman "assaulted" by a tree(in reading some of your reviews, I noticed many ommitted referrence to that scene). The camera work was great, it made the harried pace of the film one to remember. I carry the full collection of the series, and would recommend this film, as well as its sequels, to any fan of the genre.
