Summary: Top of the line !
Review: I recently purchased a panasonic lv75 and have been in dvd nirvana ever since ! This player has it all : built in dolby digital and dts decoders , great for those without dts decoders in their home receivers. With the optical in/out minijacks you can not only send the dvd signals to another source, tv, vcr, receiver, etc..., but also use the input feature allows you to view movies from your camcorder . The picture is razor sharp on the seemingly spacious 7 inch screen .The sound is great from the two built-in stereo speakers , and is even better with headphones . It has plenty of control features to tweak to your liking and has a very handy "credit card" sized remote . For those out there who aren't willing to spend thousands on a plasma display digital tv's and all in one receivers with progressive dvd output etc.,etc., this a is less expensive and more conveniant way to experience an all digital enviroment . All in all a great purchase .

Summary: The best DVD player ever!!
Review: I recently purchesd this product. I have been comparing the DVD-LV75 with other brands. This one seemed to be the best. I hooked it up to my T.V and the quality was better than the normal DVD player. The DVD-LV75 makes a 3 hour flight go right by. I reccomend gettign some noise cancelling headphones to reduce engine noise. The only bad thing is that there is only one headphone jack so you can not watch a movie with someone else. The battery lasts for about 4 and a half hours. The DVD-LV 75 is great for sleep-overs because it take 2 seconds to hook up to a tv. I recomend that you get it insured because you never know when someone could spill on it and break. If you are watching a movie that is formatted with widescreen there will be no lines on the top or bottom of the movie. The 7 inches makes a big difference over the 5 inches. The navigation botton is not "awkward" to use. Amazon.com the cheapest relible source I could find. The DVD-LV75 is the best portable DVD player EVER!!.

Summary: Excellent Product!
Review: I recently took this little gem on a family trip to Mexico. My two daughters LOVED it! They watched movie after movie on the plane, in our hotel during an overnight lay-over (beats paying for the hotel movies!) and at our condo in Puerto Vallerta (we hooked it up to the television set in our living room). When they wanted to escape to the beach, the DVD player went with them.

This particular unit is a cinch to use. I consider myself to be "electronically challenged", yet I was able to figure it out in no time at all. It is SOOOOOOOO easy to hook up and just as easy to dismantle for real portable use.

The picture quality is great, and I like the screen size. I wouldn't go with anything any smaller. This was perfect for the plane (and even for catching a movie in bed!). Headphones plug in very easily. We used several different kinds of headphones (including the ones supplied by the airline) and they worked just fine. I also liked the min-remote that came with it. It saved us a lot of "up and down" when we hooked it up to the television (my 87-year old grandfather also appreciated that!)

I would HIGHLY recommend this product! It's high quality, easy to use and loads of fun!

Enjoy!

Review: I think this is a great product. A few setbacks though..first off, i cannot find ht ebattery anywhere on the internet, if anyone knows where or how please e-mail me... . Another thing, i think they need to "enhance" the sound...its lscking unless you use good headphones.

Review: I was totally amazed at the size of this DVD player. The quality of the screen is wonderful and when plugged into my 52" screen TV, what a georgous picture. Complete portability yet compatable for home theatre viewing, this is an amazing product.

Summary: This is it!
Review: Ive been doing research on portable dvd's for like 7 months -- monitoring there progress -- seeing if the novelty pricing would go down --- reading all of the overheating messages on earlier units etc.

Finally I just broke down and purchased one --- I was going to go with the Aiwa XD-DW1 simply for price (699) -- but hey what do i work for -- so I purchased the Panasonic DVD-L75 --- the screen clarity is untouchable -- I used it on the plane and was able to watch a full movie and the unit heated no more than a laptop or any other machine thats been on for a while -- no signs of overheating although i did see a troubleshooting paragraph about overheating in the intructions

This unit is compact -- and if you were like me and read through all of the posts from users and are uncertain about buying something so expensive (would i use it enough blah blah blah) --- Think of it like this

1. You cant the cash with you (live a little) 2. If you can afford it -- then just do it 3. If you cant wait 5 years for the novelty pricing to go down and get one for like 200 then

It rocks and although the is the latest and greatest pricey unit -- the money will recover and im very happy with my purchase

Oh and **dont** purchase off of an auction service or a refurbed unit or from some shady dealer you dont know about -- if you dont purchase it from Amazon then get it from a respected local source

Summary: Best portable dvd player ever made
Review: ive owned 2 different panasonic dvd players (L10 and Lv-75) these are the best brand (panasonic) on the market they Never skip even on airplanes! The have great picture quality, 3 different ratios widescreen(16:9), regular(4:3), zoomed in. Dolby digital and DTS outputs and tv connector cables. so this has basically everything you need to use it as portable dvd player and a home dvd player. it also has a 4 hour battery

Summary: Great player
Review: Just bought one of these from Amazon. Have had no problems whatsoever. Plays double sided disks, does not get warm, no reflection from silver casing. Battery lasted me easily through the in-flight portion of a cross country plane trip with a stopover. If you want perfect sound and a perfect picture, get a home theatre, not a portable DVD player. It's true the controls are not that intuitive, but that's what the manual is for. There was one movie I couldn't hear that well on the plane with the noise-cancelling headset on, but I could hear the other, so you may want to bring a variety when you travel. A major life-saver for frequent travelers. If you can afford it, buy it.

Summary: I am in love with this player!
Review: Just for reference, I also have the Panasonic LV-50 portable and the Pioneer Portable. This is head and shoulders above the others. The screen quality is fantastic. Very crisp. The controls are greatly improved over the LV-50. The toggle which allows the LV-75 to act as a monitor for a video input has been changed from a very fragile slide switch (I broke my first LV-50 because of that stupid design), to a little button in the back of the player. With the battery, my kitchen scale reads 2.7 pounds and it's still just an inch thick! I have gone through 30, or so, disks and have not found any problems reading. If you're looking for the best portable out of the bunch, this one seems to be it.
