Review: I am absolutely pleased with this product. Picture quality is good and the built in speakers sound great.The downside to it though is that it is way overpriced. It also gets really hot while watching movies. All in all it is a good product.

Summary: Wonderful for travelling
Review: I bought the L50 on a whim. I was facing a long flight with an energetic four year old and the L50 really made it easier to while away the hours. Buy the additional battery since the worst thing is to have the player stop in the middle of your second movie.

Summary: The portable DVD player is an attractive, pricey product.
Review: I feel that the portable DVD player is a convenient item to have around. Whether you're traveling, or out having fun, it is always handy. Though it is convenient, there are still downsides to this product. One of them is that you cannot watch television broadcasts. This feature would make it a very worthwhile product to purchase. Another downside is that it is a "little bit" overpriced. Until this product receives competition with other companies such as Sony or Philips, you won't be seeing this product in many households across the US and other countries. Portable computers already have an optional DVD feature. With this feature added to the software and hardware already on the computer makes the computer more valuable, and it costs little more than the portable DVD player alone. Overall, this product was a good idea, but, as stated before, it costs more than many people are willing to pay.

Review: I was amazed with the Sound and picture quality when I first used it. The Sound and picture is so much better than the DVD player I have on my tower computer or on my laptop that I carded. Well I think this item should be on any Carder's Wish List.

Review: If you like to watch movies, especially DVD, you can't go wrong w/ this unit. The picture quality is terrific and the virtual surround sound is impressive. I really look forward to car and plane trips from now on!! You can't go wrong with this unit--it goes anywhere! If you want to watch a DVD or video CD, or even just want to listen to a CD, this is the way to go.

Summary: I waited for the 2nd Generation and was very happy.
Review: I couldn't resist this unit. I HATE DVD on the LAPTOP. There is no comparison between the 2. I can travel with 50 Movies and play them anyplace. The battery has great life and the sound is very good for CD's. If you want a really nice TOY, get it.

Summary: A great product for anyone who really enjoys DVD movies...
Review: I was very cautious about putting the full cost out for this product... It is absolutely the greatest product that I have seen in years... I have only had a chance to watch two movies on it so far but I am very pleased with it. I would absolutely reccomend it for anyone who likes to watch good DVD movies where ever thay may go. If you really want good sound I would highly reccomend using it with a set of good quality headphones. The speakers on the unit are rather tinny and leave a lot to be desired. The picture on the unit is crystal clear when used in the normal mode and is absolutely great for individual use. If you want it for family viewing I would highly reccomend it be connected to either your home theater system or at least your TV set. Either option is very easy to acomplish. Overall I highly reccomend this unit to anyone whether they want a home based unit or a unit to be used away from home.

Review: I travel alot and it has been the best electrial invesment I've made yet. Its lightwight, quality, and ease make it a long time needed friendly companion. I would suggest the L-50 to anyone regardless of age. DVD's will replace CD's sometime. I know this is a long term investmant.

Review: Far superior to watching on my laptop. Try this unit on the airplane with the sony noise cancelling ear plugs; you'll forget you're on the plane. Great battery life.
